The ice cream is awesome. The staff is super friendly. They also have a huge collection Michigan themed reasonably priced sweatshirts.

There is rarely a time in the summer when there isn't a line, but it is always worth the wait. Cherry moobilee is one of our favorites! We also love sitting outside and watching the cows while enjoying our ice cream. It makes the whole experience even more special. Recently, we stopped in and ordered one of their adorable mouse sundaes, and it made my whole family so happy! Such a fun treat and such a wonderful place. We absolutely love coming here!

The lengthy line moved quickly with an efficient process by the staff. An ice cream flight ($10?) was ordered. Five flavors were chosen. Each was about half a scoop I would say. The flavors I tried are below. Most of the ice cream was fulfilling, but not as creamy as I would have thought being homemade. Black Cherry - This was black cherry ice cream with pieces of Michigan cherry pieces. This was plain and did not really taste like anything except for the cherry pieces. Cherries Moobilee - This was black cherry ice cream with chocolate fudge swirl, brownie chunks, and black cherry chunks. Again, the ice cream was plain, but the pieces of everything else helped overcome that a little bit. Cherry Pie a La Mode - This was vanilla ice cream with cherry swirl and pie pieces. This was my favorite. The cherry swirl combined with the small pie pieces made for an appealing treat. Butter Pecan - This again just lacked flavor besides the pecan pieces. Lemon Raspberry - This was lemon ice cream with a raspberry swirl. This was just not good at all. The lemon did not taste like lemon at all, and there was hardly any raspberry. Even with a small portion, I would expect the swirl to be in every bite. Will I go back? Debatable.

Great place for fresh fish!…read more Group of six of us came on Friday night just before 6PM and waited about 30 mins for a table on the patio. Nice shades table at this time with great breeze on the riverfront/marina area. We all ordered fresh fish with half of getting the almond Whitefish ($30) and it was outstanding! One BIL got the New Orleans Whitefish ($33) and the other BIL got the Whitefish tacos ($21) and it was unanimous...everyone loved the food. What really made our night special was our server Julie! She was super friendly, fun, helpful and very prompt. She is a precious asset for the restaurant!

The only reason I'm rating this restaurant 4 stars, is because the hostess is extremely rude. I don't know her name but she was working at 3PM (there were 2 or 3 girls at this time). The way she responded after we asked "what" when we couldn't hear what she was saying, was extremely condescending and "valley girl" like with a high pitch/annoyed tone. I also saw her do this to someone else too. it's not a good look and almost turned us away but we really wanted to try the food. My fiance and I both got the fried white fish sandwich with fries and it did not disappoint! The batter wasn't super thick and it absolutely melted in your mouth. I also love the type of bread they used for the bun. I think it was ciabatta bread? I might be wrong but I think that's what it was. The entire flavor combo was really good. Also, our waitress, Jillian, who was fantastic, gave us extra tartar sauce without even asking! I think she knew we were about to ask lol! We also asked for the fries well done and they definitely were. The fries also didn't taste like old oil or anything, they were really fresh. All in all, we were both very satisfied with our meals and were happy with the entree choice! Oh, I also had a Moscow Mule but made with whisky and that was also very good. I had the house whisky and it was very light and very good. All in all, a good experience with the food and the views -- the hostess just needs some training on customer service. If you're in the area, I'd recommend stopping by and grabbing a bite!

We've been waiting for Riverside Inn to really find its stride under the new ownership (which "new"…read moreis really several years old now!), and last night felt like it may finally be getting there. Riverside was a favorite of ours when Kate owned it, and over the past few years we've kept coming back hoping to see the new owners develop a more consistent kitchen and, importantly, a menu with an identity of its own rather than one that sometimes felt like it was trying to emulate the best restaurants around the area. Last night delivered. The food was consistently good across the table--the chicken was cooked and seasoned to perfection, the pasta was excellent, and the accompaniments felt thoughtful and well executed. And please, whatever you do, never get rid of the whipped mashed potatoes. Those have consistently been something Riverside does very well. The focaccia with corn was fabulous and butter with honey is way better than previous iterations of butter with olives??? Nobody wants that. Service got off to a very delayed start, but once our server found a rhythm, things got back on track and the rest of the evening flowed much better. It feels like Riverside is beginning to settle into what it wants to be rather than chasing something they're not, and that's encouraging to see. We've been waiting for that. Last night was the most confident and consistent the restaurant has felt in a while, and we're hopeful they keep heading in this direction.

A step back in time compared with now more modern open ceiling restaurants. Beautiful views, white table cloths, relaxed atmosphere offering a pleasant, calming dining experience. Cocktails and wine were excellent. We ordered a couple focaccia breads for the table and it was one of the best I've tasted, so delicious! I ordered beef tenderloin which was cooked perfectly to specifications. Maybe a little more mashed potatoes and demi glacé would have kicked it up a notch. Others ordered salmon, trout, steak frites and bolognese. Enjoyed a couple shared yummy desserts and coffee. Note on bill for larger party there is an added 23% gratuity which I was informed of when making reservation. I would recommend for a pleasant dining experience.
