There's really no topping Kilwin's when it comes to ice cream. I went overboard for a chocolate dipped waffle cone and it was fantastic. Flavors are always delicious and spot-on. Welcoming and friendly staff. Great assortment of flavors. Perfect! read more

I love this place! We try to stop here to get one of their awesome caramel apples whenever we are in the area. Never disappointed. The apples are fresh with just the right amount of caramel, nuts and chocolate. Nice and friendly service every time. It's probably a good thing that we don't live close by. read more

Quality: Fantastic Price: Overpriced Service: Standard The ice cream was very very good. I sampled multiple flavors and I had a hard time deciding because they were all so good! I decided on a chocolate one that had pecans and chocolate bar pieces. DELICIOUS! The waffle cone was also very good! 1 scoop of ice cream is $6, which is high, but it is a decent size scoop. Oh my gosh, the owner is the nicest guy we meet on our 10 day trip. The fudge is delicious but I think their toffee is to die for but it was the service at this location that sealed the deal. So helpful in packing us up for plane travel. Clean, well kept and good variety. read more

My wife and I had dinner down the street at the Cantina and stopped in for ice cream. The smell of waffle cones being made wafted onto bridge street catching my attention. We went in and waited in a long line to get ice cream. They sell an assortment of different chocolates, caramel apples and ice creams. It's a bit pricey costing almost $6 for a scoop of ice cream with a waffle cone but well worth it. I ordered mint chocolate chip ice cream and we strolled along the lakefront as a live band was playing in the park. read more

amazing ice cream. I came here every day i was in Charlevoix the ice cream was so good. Also the service was super friendly, great chatting with them and letting us try some samples. My favorites where Michigan Cherry or Lemon Sorbet. If you have to get ice cream anywhere in Charlevoix this is the place to go. Top notch service and ice cream. Me and my buddies went to the ice cream store after eating for some fun and some ice cream we expected to maybe pay four dollars we walked in the pricing was out of sight hidden in tiny font on the counter the employees were not at all knowledgeable and when we asked them about the pricing they wouldn't or couldn't tell us we eventually found out that one scoop of ice cream is eight dollars. Once you step a little bit past the fudge in the entry way, the whole building smells like a dirty public bathroom. They had many exotic flavors which I was interested to try but when I asked to sample they said no, how am I supposed to know what I want if I can't have a sample and enjoy my eight dollar ice cream. read more

Amazing ice cream. I love the lemon sorbet and the super man ice cream the whole store always smells awesome there waffle cones are awesome there is a park Right across the street so we always eat our ice cream there it's nicely decorated. To add to my good experiences even on very busy days the ice cream takes less than 1 min to be ready the fudge, chocolates and candy's are also amazing. Staff is friendly and patient. It takes a lot of patience to wait while I decide what flavor I should have . This place is my favorite ice cream place. Nice try King Kone. read more

My husband and I were in Charlevoix yesterday and stopped for ice cream at Kilwin's. They were quite busy with lots of parents and their children. The ladies behind the counter were very patient and helpful. When our turn came, we ordered a scoop of toasted coconut (the lady said it was her favorite) and a waffle cone with chocolate ice cream. I almost got a slab of fudge but decided I didn't need that much sugar. Our ice cream was delicious. Almost went back for fudge......really good ice cream!!! read more

We love Kilwins! Have been to the Saugatuck location many times, and the Charlevoix store looks and smells just as amazing. The chocolate dipped Oreos are a favorite, and the peanut butter cups have the smoothest, richest peanut butter and chocolate-better than Justin's. Very friendly and helpful staff! read more

While their fudge isn't bad, it's not the draw for me. I love their candies and ice cream. The caramel they make is delicious, and the line of sea salt topped, chocolate covered caramels they have this year is amazing. I love the salt topped sweet craze and especially am fond of caramels in general. Brilliant combo! read more

I was shocked at the insane overpriced icecream accompanied by a very rude cashier. If you're going to ask these prices, the customer service should at least be excellent. I hate this place! Save yourself some $$$ and go buy a high end pint at the grocery for a fraction of the cost. read more

Be prepared for a short wait on a busy day. Also be prepared for some delicious ice cream. We got the cookies and cream, Marsh-Mallow S'more and the banana cake or something like that. They were all SO good. The waffle cone was still warm and one scoop is plenty!!! A bit pricey, but normal for the tourist area. Worth the price, for sure. Yummmm! read more

On July 23rd, circumstances found us away from Charlevoix and so at 11:30am I called to cancel the reservation. Here is where it gets a little crazy. The owner answers and he becomes angry with me for canceling. He wants to know why. I explain we are out of town. He says, "Oh, so you are the only one with a life and you think you are very important". I apologize that we cannot make the reservation, he says,"Don't ever call here again" and then disconnects the call before I can respond. I was about to spend $300 to $400 on a meal at this restaurant, very strange customer service. Giving a restaurant plenty of notice (7 hours), I have never experienced rudeness on this level before.
