The downside is that Howse's is more expensive, $14.75 per slice, so $29.50 for 2 slices, whereas Kilwin's is about $23 for 3 slices. On the day that I went, Howse's had more fudge flavor options than Kilwin's.

We all ordered one scoop of ice cream including the three children. I enjoyed my creamy salted caramel in a cup. The ice cream was creamy and tasty. My total bill excluding cash gratuity was $44.50. My family enjoyed their ice cream so much that they returned here again for more ice cream the next day. One day, I got birthday cake ice cream here (had chunks of cake and sprinkles in it) and another day I got the best gummy worms ever to take to the pool (they were SO good). There is a little ice cream window on the outside of the shop, but I'm never sure if we're allowed to use it, as no one is usually at that window. They carry things you may need for a day at the beach, clothing from brands like North Face, Patagonia, Free People, etc. Plus local touristy gear like branded sweatshirts from local brands like M22, stickers, etc. The brands they carry aren't cheap but Leland is a pricier tourist town. The ice cream parlor serves Moomers ice cream which is some of the best ice cream out there. Here you can pick from one of 32 flavors to get on a cone, in a bowl, as a sundae, in a float, or a shake, etc. My go to flavors are usually Supermoo or Cherries Moo-boolie. The shop is one of the few in town that is not dog friendly inside (I'm guessing because of the ice cream counter) but it's ok because they also have a walk up window (for ice cream only) so anyone with a canine can still enjoy a nice scoop. It also has water and such out for your pups!
