Met friends here for Valentines Day dinner. Horrible service. Whenever she did come to the table she said "oh! We're so busy". Well if you had people make reservations then you should've had enough staff to handle the customers. From start to finish we were there for 3-1/2 hours!! I asked for a refill on water and waited 20 minutes. Waited another 1/2 hour for apps. Salmon serving was small and overpriced. Sides were cold. And to top it off they added in an 18% gratuity! This was our second time there and also the last. read more

really solid. Decor & atmosphere is awesome. The Japanese baseball memorabilia is really cool, and the hot dogs were really really fantastic. read more

Not cheap but very tasty! Had a Ribeye Steak that was cooked to perfection and very well seasoned. Had the lobster deviled eggs but you only get two for $10.00 and wished I ordered more. As a side I had the potato purée again very well seasoned and worth ordering. The following morning for breakfast we had the Eggs Benedict and I have to say whenever I go to Breakfast anywhere and they have it on the menus I order it. This eggs Benedict was one of the best I have had. read more

This is THE place to go for a wide range of experiences! Whether it is for a private event, business dinner, happy hour, date night or dinner with friends, this place ROCKS!!!! So many different vignettes of dining and social opportunities! If you enjoy tasting menus, a chef's table experience would be perfect at Lela! Tickets sell out fast for those I hear. The food I had was artistic in presentation and wow on flavor! All staff was welcoming and attentive. The ambience...whoah...now this is a beautifully done place with an eclectic and warm feel. Tables are spaced out very well to give a more intimate experience. It appeared that any attire was appropriate. I cannot wait to go back! read more

It's about time that a South Metro-area restaurant offers an excellent brunch buffet. Everything was wonderful and a good value at the same time. Keep up the good work! read more

Staying in the area this past weekend for a conference. Didn't want to go far from our hotel but wanted a good steak. Found Lela on yelp and figured we'd give it a try. A bit concerned when we pulled in as it's attached to a hotel Not usually great in my experience. WRONG! 6 guys at our table 5 ribeyes ordered and a pork chop. All done perfectly. The sides were outstanding. Carrots and spinach HIGHLY recommended. Server Jean couldn't have been more helpful and professional. Manager and chef both came around at different times to check on us. Wish I lived close by, I'd be a regular. Next time I'm in town I know where I'm going for dinner :) read more

Stay away from the ceviche. The yellow fin tuna entree is one of the better dishes I've had in recent memory. I still gave the restaurant 5 stars because the tuna was that exquisite. read more

Very nice restaurant and the service was very friendly and at tentative. The food looked great but wasn't particularly tasty. However we really enjoyed dining there and would go back for a second try. Also the wine list was excellent! read more

We went to Lela on Saturday and it was very bad. We got 4 apps: the steak tar tar was oily and lacked flavor, the cerviche was way to citrusy, the Asian dumplings we literally half sliced garlic and half meat, the meatballs were very good. My gal was only ok with the lobster gnocci. The steak special and salmon were good. I ordered the tortellini and it was horrible. It is the only thing I recall sending back in a restaurant ever. The waitress said that when the cook looked at it, it "crumbled" apart in his hands. Should tortellini served in a broth crumble? The bread was kind of nasty too. Quality ingredients, decent presentation, but the flavors and execution was a disaster. read more

I can't speak for the food here. We were seated and waited for 10 minutes with multiple servers passing by us and no one stopping, so left.

This has to be the worst Valentine's Day prix fix! Our server didn't ask how my husband wanted his steak cooked and gave it to us extremely rare (same thing happened to the table next us). My pork chop was so bad!! I could make dinner 10x better than that. Server disappeared and we waited over half out to get our dessert!! We spent over $182 for this crap?! Oh and to top it off....they charge 18% gratuity! Even though their service is horrible!!!! Worst experience read more

Great place for business or a date, service was awesome, food was outstanding and it's way better than in places like Crave. It's upscale place in Bloomington with plenty of parking right in front. Highly recommended ! read more

This was the worst service I've ever experienced from a restaurant this expensive. Our server, Michael, was extremely inattentive, forgetting requests we made and not once visiting our table since before we received our entrées. We had to wait quite a while after the meal was done to request the bill because he just didn't show up again. It honestly doesn't even matter whether the food was good, you shouldn't pay a hundred bucks for a dinner for two with such poor service. The thing is, I'm usually pretty easy going about these things; I can't remember the last time I felt a dinner was ruined by by service, but this was exceptionally bad. read more

$21 for 5 tortellini!!!! The lunch size "handmade" tortellini isn't enough food to be called a lunch entree. They should put it in the appetizer section. My lunch guest ordered it and I felt so bad I had to give up part of my sandwich to make it seem like a meal. What a joke. read more

This restaurant was an unexpected surprise to us. We traveled here for a business meeting and were totally blown away by the ambiance, staff and food! My wife has food allergies and the general manager, Haykel Arfaoui, went out of his way to make sure that everything was ok for her to eat. Our server was fantastic and the food was beyond what I would have expected in this location. If Lela was in our home town (Seattle) they would make a killing! read more

I know, I know it's a hotel restaurant, but guess what? Wonderful! From our server Jeff's top notch performance to the delicious lamb chops grilled to perfection- we will definitely be back. Great wine selection and by all means start with the lobster deviled eggs and the ceviche! You will not be disappointed :-) read more

The ceviche was excellent, the tuna was terrific... Nice atmosphere for a quiet dinner with clients or alone... Wait staff is excellent and friendly... I will be back... read more

Stewart Woodman is back with a vengeance. If you loved Heidi's you will love Lela. The crudos plate was out of this world. The Lamb Chitarra melts in your mouth (with flavor profiles that pay homage to the old Heidi's lamb shank). And the tomato basil ice cream (no not a typo) is worth a trip on its own read more

The food was very good however our wait staff seemed to be indifferent to our presence. The menu was imaginative and the dishes were very flavorful, two thumbs up for that. read more

Delicious food, Beautiful atmosphere, amazingly friendly staff. What more could you ask for? So impressed. Highly recommend.

This place is so beautiful and the food is fresh and delicious. The service is impeccable and the prices are ridiculously low for the quality. We will definitely be back. read more

We came to your restaurant to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary this evening (12/14/18), we had a 7:30 reservation. The first thing we noticed was there was no line, no one waiting to be seated, and the restaurant was between roughly 1/3rd and 1/2 full, this stuck us as odd during what should be dinner rush on a Friday night. We were seated right away and the hostess told us our server was busy so it might be a few minutes. When we were sat at our table we noticed that the table behind us didn't have menus and clearly had been sitting for a while as all 4 guests were surfing on their phones and were very clearly bored/unhappy. The hostess came back 10 minutes later and said our waitress was still busy and asked if we wanted to place a drink order, we did. Thirty minutes later, it was now 8:10, we still had not seen our waitress (we had seen 2 waitresses in our area of the restaurant, both appeared to be handling 2 or 3 tables) the hostess shows back up with our drink order, yes it took THIRTY MINUTES to have 2 drinks delivered. I got up and tracked the hostess down and asked to speak to a manager, the hostess said she would get one, she ran off looking all over the restaurant for a manager, and then looking very flustered went into the back of the house presumably to look for a manager. At this point the table that had ordered before we were seated recieved their food, so it was at least 45 minutes, and most likely much more judging by body language, between ordering and getting food on a fairly quiet night. We sat around for another 5 minutes before we got up and left without ever seeing the manager. We had high hopes for Lela we thought the menu looked interesting and we thought the restaurant looked nice, dispite being crammed into a tiny 2 seat table even though there were plenty of other more comfortable tables open. We have both worked in restaurants, including waiting tables at a higher end restaurant, where I routinely had 10 or more tables at a time on a busy night, having customers wait 45+ minutes without ever seeing their waiter/waitress is 100% unacceptable... The manager should have been on the floor, helping the wait staff, talking with tables that the wait staff couldn't handle, helping to smooth over this huge bump in the road. At this point we will not be returning to Lela, and unfortunately we will be telling family, friends, yelp, Google etc about this horrible experience. read more

A group of us we're looking for a good steak place while we were in town so we found this "4 star" restaurant. Service was slow and one of my coworkers orders his steak medium. This was after asking the waitress what they consider medium. After what felt like a 1/2 hour the food showed up. His steak was more towards well. So he brought it up the the waitress and she returned within 3 min with a new one. It was even more done. Not wanting to send it back again he ate it. When the manager came by to pick up plates he asked. My coworker said his meal was so/ so. The manager gave him a free desert. Ok no problem until the bill came. I put my card down and it sat there. 5, 10 min later I looked at it and was was the wrong bill. We flagged down the manager and he took it away. We got the right bill and I payed it. Waitress needs to pay attention and the cook staff needs to learn the difference between rare, medium, well. Gordon R. Would have thrown it away. read more

My family and I ate dinner here and the food was phenomenal! We ordered the lobster gnocchi, the handmade tortellini with beef tongue, and the yellowfin tuna. Personally, the lobster gnocchi was my favorite, the squash cream sauce was outstanding and the design for all the dishes was very elegant. It also warmed my heart that one of their dishes had beef tongue, my favorite meat! We also ordered the assortment of sorbets, the tree leches flan, the maple wild rice donut and the chocolate ganache donut. The maple and wild rice donut was to die for and the tres leches flan was also delicious! I strongly recommend coming here! read more

Lela is a good restaurant, not great. The establishment is run well, the service is very good and it is a pleasant environment. However, I would not return for the food. The food was average at best and overpriced for the quality. If someone invited me to dinner and paid for it, I would go again. But there are far too many better choices to spend my own money on. read more

I really wanted to love this restaurant. My husband and I decided to try it during restaurant week. The service was very slow (we were there for an hour and 45 min). We both ordered the Bolognese Pappardelle which had no flavor at all and the noodles were a bit more then al dente. We ordered the Lobster Deviled eggs which we didn't get until after our main course (I had to ask our server for them). We would maybe have to try again but first try was unpleasant. read more

My wife and I really enjoy this place. We have followed Chef Stewart from his days at his first Heidi's restaurant. The decorations are classy and the food is eclectic and the tastes are strong. This is a great restaurant that brings a downtown vibe to the suburbs. Whether you are looking to grab a drink and an app or have a full meal you can't go wrong here. read more

Overall, one of THE WORST customer service experiences of my life. Booked a reservation weeks in advance for restaurant week. One hour before we were scheduled to be seated, I got a notice from Open Table that the restaurant had cancelled our reservation. I called the restaurant, and was told that the information about their restaurant week menu was incorrect on the website, so instead of make it right, they decided to cancel our reservation without any notice. We waited for weeks for this reservation and weren't even granted a phone call or email with an explanation. The man I spoke with was incredibly rude as well. Overall, would give zero stars if possible. read more

Being a huge fan of Heidi's, I was excited to see that Stewart Woodman was the chef. Based on other reviews & my previous experiences at Heidi's. I was willing to give the place a chance even though it is in a hotel. Unfortunately it was not good. First, we ordered the lobster deviled eggs. One egg cut in half for $10.00. Very tasty but Really??? My friend ordered the watercress salad which was over salted. I ordered the soup du jour. Potato leek with bacon which was very good. We both ordered pasta for entrees. Lobster truffle gnocchi & the braised lamb chitarra. The lobster pasta was salty with tiny chards of lobster and barely edible. The other pasta dish however was so salty it was unpalatable. Because we were still hungry we decided to split the lobster gnocchi and send the chitarra back. When we informed our server of the issue with the saltiness of the food. She said we were the second table to send it back and the manager would probably take it off our bill. Whatever... We were not looking for free food. The crazy part was that after that the manager started staring at our table every time he brought food out to other tables. This is the long version of saying don't waste your time or money going Lela. Stewart you disappointed me:( read more

Due to many reasons we had to have an early dinner. You could tell right away they were not happy to have early diners...we did have reservations. The service was just OK. I ordered one of my favorite salads and was extremely disappointed; Caesar with white anchovies. The lettuce was sopping wet so the dressing slid off and the lettuce was so cold it hurt my teeth to eat. The parmesan cheese were thick shavings that were tough. I cannot believe they served it..maybe they thought I did not know better. The main courses were fine but the dessert came very late and near burnt. Was it crabby chief day? read more

Very nice ambiance. Our waitress was very nice and soft spoken. I ordered Barramundi and my husband ordered a NY strip medium rare with lobster tail. My dinner was delicious and done perfectly. Husbands steak was medium well. He NEVER sends food back(first time ever for a steak), but it was a special night and it was overdone. We told the Waitress, and she got the manager and he spoke with us and husband asked for another steak properly done medium rare. The manager returned and said that "in the light" the steak was done correctly. My husband requested it medium rare. He finally got a new steak and the outside was CHARRED BLACK! Inside was very rare. Lobster tail must have sat under the warmer waiting for the new steak and was like rubber. We cut our losses, told them it was fine and just wanted to get out as soon as we could. My husband cut off all the black charred parts and tried to eat some of it. We were so hoping to love this place, but we will not return. read more

My honey and I have declared this dining destination our restaurant! Colette Bistro & Bar was our favorite restaurant to celebrate birthdays and such, we were shocked when we came into town and it was gone! How pleased we were when we sat at the chef's counter and watched the crafting of our EXCELLENT dinner. We've been a few times since the first. The change is fabulous and the fare is still on par with the finest in the cities. The ambiance is sophisticated and accessible. Dress in your finest or your nicest jeans -it still feels on time! The general manager is gracious and we intend to return for years to come! (Try the lamb chops!!! -Chefs suggestion for rare is RIGHT ON!!) read more

Great lunch, especially on a Sunday when many restaurants may not bring their A game. Lela was on point today. We sampled the interesting lunch menu, mostly focusing on seafood dishes to pair with our Chablis. The only less than stellar dish was the crab cake but it was certainly competitive with most other venues. Like most restaurant crab cakes its needs more LUMP crab to really shine. Loved the Yellowtail Crudo and Peruvian Ceviche! Even the smoked turkey sandwich showed a little creativity. Everything was super fresh. Like the roomy modern layout that still has cozy areas . Service was crisp and enthusiastically helpful. This is suburban friendly with urban class and professionalism. Nice addition to the mostly boring 494 corridor. read more

The new Lela Restaurant is a delight - the decor is updated and pleasing. The staff was very attentive without being overbearing - special kudos to the GM (Haykel Arfaoui) and our wait staff. And the fare was truly spectacular!
