In my new car buying experience, Carlos is a rare breed of salesman. Of the dozen or so new cars I have purchased over the years at various dealerships, the salesman experience is ridiculous. I once had a a 6'3" salesman tell my wife and I he had to go with us on the test drive. He said he would sit in the back of the Toyota 86. He claimed he sat back there before. Liar. Then he claimed he had to drive it off of the lot, and we would change places in the street. He couldn't even start the stick shift car. Other salesman/dealerships weaseled out of giving me factory incentives. I have heard the most ridiculous reasons why I misread the incentives, despite reading it with them on their own screens. Apparently salesman are under the impression that a customer won't get in their own car and go somewhere else. This is my first purchase at Raceway Chevy. The whole experience was exactly as it should be. And while I want to say it was excellent, I don't want to describe it as such. Instead, it was exactly what IT SHOULD BE. Carlos is friendly. He knows the product. I drove it off of the lot. I was not pressured in any way whatsoever. When I told him of the incentives I wanted off the price, he said he would try get me more: which he did. I expected to get the $8,000 off offered by Chevy, as well as my UAW discount. I was offered more. I got $12,000 off. There was no pressure from the financial department. I had an APR from my bank that I was willing to spend. They said it was not a problem. They offered me a slightly lower rate. Nice. Now I will see if the service department is as good. Fingers crossed.

I trusted them with every single maintenance interval, believing the dealership would provide the highest quality care. I was wrong. I recently took my vehicle to a local shop for a quick oil change and was shocked when the technician showed me my oil plug. It was completely smashed and rounded off--the direct result of the service department at Raceway using improper tools or over-tightening it during my previous visits. The local shop had to spend extra time and labor just to extract the damaged plug and replace it. It is clear that Raceway's service team is rushing their work and neglecting basic mechanical standards. If they are willing to be this careless with a simple oil plug, I hate to think what else they are overlooking. I will not be returning.

Jay held my title and registration until August 17th! In which he finally sent it out to me after basically telling me to delete my review and in return he'll send out my title. -He passed inspection with the vehicle in need of 4 tires. (As seen in the pictures.) -The valve cover gasket was leaking so bad it was dripping off the oil filter and pan. -Truck would lose all power steering, power brakes, and would not Accelerate sporadically. Jay agreed to send it to a local for dealership for diagnostics. When I picked up the truck I was held responsible to pay even though he told the advisor he would cover it. Jay also claimed he order the new hood struts and the front right window motor/regulator for me to install. Well, that was a lie as well, as I never received either. Stay away from him. He buys cars that were recent trade ins at other dealerships, cleans and details then, Nd throws them right back out on his lot.

This is the typical shady car dealer.

That set was an after-market set and had rusted over in less than 2 months. When I called to tell them, they were nice and said "bring it back in and we'll take care of it for you." I was happy about that. When I brought it back, I had a short list of work for them to do including brakes, rotors, oil change, tire rotation and more. I requested OEM lug nuts to replace the rusted ones I previously paid them $70 for. They also took my car for a ride themselves to listen for a noise I had told them about. When I returned to pick up my car after their garage hours, I had TWO flat tires, the same type of aftermarket lug nuts that had rusted previously (and are already chipped and unsightly, only 8 days later), and my tires had not been rotated. I walked around to the showroom and a worker was still present. When I told him about the flat tires and how his mechanics were the last to drive my vehicle, his exact response was "well, flat tires happen" and directed me to a 7eleven down the street to get fix-a-flat. I spent $600 here, and then had to get new tires from Pep Boys.

I took it there, complained, was told they would reach out and they never did. 2- I was told the transmission in my car is new, but after it started acting up, they told me the previous owner said it was new and they had no proof. 3. After taking my car to their shop twice, the mechanic downplayed the noise and starting saying things like "it's a lot of work", "it'll be very expensive", and "you could spend all that money opening up and there's no guarantee we can fix the issue". These all sound like excuses to me. If I had purchased a $2000.00 car I would not be complaining but I spend $14,000.00 on a car that I was told had new parts, when they had no proof, and now that the transmission acting up nobody wants to help.
