The owner of this shop, Nate, obviously loves and understands the business, and he also takes his time to show and explain the different types of guitars that he offers, and why they might make sense. There is also an awesome Golden Retriever in the store to keep you company if you just want to hang out with a dog instead of buy a guitar. The most impressive thing about Whole Tone is the completeness of the shop -- not only can you buy the guitar, but you can service it there as well, get your lessons, and also come in for demos of talented guitarists to see what is actually possible. I suppose you could just click and buy your guitar for the lowest price plus shipping on Amazon -- but you'll miss out on the rest of an important part of the experience, not to mention, the chance to actually try the equipment and hear what it sounds like before you do make a purchase. Its not merely about the lowest price. It also has to sound right. And if it makes you feel any better -- Nate did match the price of my guitar to whatever the lowest price was online -- without me even having to ask. That's pretty cool. The students all seem very comfortable with the instructors and demonstrated a variety of skill levels from just a few months playing to several years. There are several classrooms and teachers for a variety of instruments including violin, saxophone, etc. One of the students I know did not get on well with their first instructor and was quickly reassigned to another who they just love. It's good to know the students have options and the owners want students to have an enjoyable experience. Plenty of parking behind the building in a free public lot. Handicap entrance is on the street side of the building with on-street parking available. Restrooms available on classroom level. Store sells and rents instruments and associated items.

Had previously brought this to a music shop in Avon called Music & - - - - where I was quoted $1,200 & 2 months to repair. So I brought it to The Music Shop on a hunch. They charged about $157.00 & 1 week to repair. When I got the sax back, they had fixed things I didn't even know was wrong with it such as straightening keys, re-setting posts. They had re-set all the pads and the sax was as good as new. When I played it, I knew that these people cared enough about quality repairs that I can trust them for any future work.

So I stopped by The Music Shop when my travels brought me to the neighborhood to see if they had any leads. "Sure," said the young man at the counter. "Our manager does that." A couple of phone calls later, to make sure the guitar and I would arrive during his working hours, he was looking confidently and affectionately at my beloved Guild. A replacement nut leapt into his hand, he asked me about strings, gave me a price, and made a guess at how long it would take (which was wrong, but that's par for the course). Today I picked it up. My baby is back, looks better than I've ever made it look, and sounds wonderful. This wasn't anything resembling a challenging repair to a luthier - I know that - but my beloved Guild got real Tender Loving Care, and that's as good as it gets.

i stumbled upon this place from a paper my daughter brought home from school to sign her up for…read moreviolin. windsor music center was listed as a place to get supplies for instruments, and to use another company from mass to rent the violin. i called windsor music center and spoke on the phone with the nicest man who answered all of my questions and even told me they rent instruments as well!! after getting to the store, my daughter was fitted on the spot and we were able to rent the violin and take it home the same day! the rental rate was so fairly priced, and included insurance! the company in mass wanted almost 90 bucks a month plus ins!! i also was able to purchase a chin pad, the music book she needed and a music stand for an extremely affordable price! if your child needs music supplies or a rental instrument LOOK NO FURTHER- they haven't been apart of the community for 70yrs for nothing! shop local and support this amazing store!!!

After 10 sessions, I know proper form, can read music and can play one of my favorite songs on the kit! Just an FYI, you may need to park along the side walk across street. No biggie.

This was my first time, I came so unprepared and my feet and hands were cramping of the cold by the end of it all. Nonetheless, we had a great time. Few hours every Sunday afternoon are scheduled for public skating (look up calendar)... was quite reasonably priced @ $10 (including skate rentals) for 1.5hrs. A good winter activity for kids to burn all that energy. They have milk crates to lean on for beginners which I relied on heavily else I'm quite certain I'd break a hip. Gladly it wasn't too crowded. What fun! we'll be back next week and I'll surely sign up for lessons next year.

Not only is freestyle filled with hockey players but the hockey players are disruptive and obnoxious, they fill the whole ice and caused a couple other people and I to almost fall because they got way too close. They also give rude looks and act like they own the ice. They have no regard for figure skaters. If you are a figure skater I highly suggest going to another rink, because this one barely has any freestyle time and when there is freestyle hockey players take up the whole ice. Not only that but I was not able to stay in the parking lot because one of the staff forced me to leave. Now I have to park in the parking lots of surrounding areas and WALK to the rink if I want to skate. This is no way for a coach to be treated, I also have to feel nervous to walk into the rink because of said hostile staff member. Furthermore the said staff member stated that he was "watching me" which makes me feel very uncomfortable, this is directly a violation of my privacy and as a female I feel nervous to go back knowing that I will be watched. I did absolutely nothing wrong and said staff member chased me out of the parking lot and continued to watch me. Also if you want to come to this rink(I highly suggest you don't) do not park in their parking lot, it is filled with potholes and is a danger to cars. As a figure skater and coach I do not feel welcome. Their restrooms are also horrible, most of the stalls don't close properly and are blocked by the toilet paper dispensers, only one sink works and there is only ever cold water that comes out of the sink. There is also profanity written and scratched into the walls. And upon entering into the main section of the rink there is an unpleasant odor. I have also complained via email however I never get a response. I do not feel welcome when I go to this rink and honestly I have no reason to go anymore. It is far from my home and I could have way better experiences at other establishments. My whole experience has been horrible, and all of the staff seem unwelcoming, not only that but it is a mainly hockey establishment, and does not take too kindly to figure skaters. I also talked to my friend about their experience at this rink and they described their experience similar to mine. They were wrongfully told off, and they have many complaints about the hockey players on the ice. I have also heard other people complain too. Overall do not come here or bring your kids to skate here, it is a horrible place to go, and you can find other rinks with way more friendly staff who welcome figure skaters.
