My first experience was with one of the management team - Brody - and I cannot day enough great things about my interactions with him. My family and I will be back!

We walked from the park to the Old Mill District and enjoyed the river views the entire way. Between the shopping, dining, and incredible scenery, this is one of the highlights of Bend. I'm not into board games, so called my sister in Southern California and she talked with a staff member who described some of the games based on family favorites and told her what won "Game of the Year" for 2022 and 2023. She recommended two to me and I chose. I think my gift will be a hit at our Christmas game (2022 Game of the Year). They had tables set up in the rear, and there were quite a few people playing games. The other shops looked interesting, but we were on a time crunch since Modern Games didn't open until 11:00.

When she presented the gift to me she was excited to tell me all about your company, which she was familiar with, until I read on the package that the socks were made in Taiwan (which was printed in tiny print in the corner). Which came as a HUGE shock to her. On top of that shock, we then looked at the materials list for the socks and found that they were only 31% wool the rest was synthetic fibers. She paid $19.50 for a pair of socks that she thought were authentic Pendleton wool socks! Your company should be ashamed of itself. This is very shady. Pendleton has built a long-standing reputation for American craftsmanship and high-quality wool products. Selling a product that is predominantly synthetic and manufactured overseas while trading on the heritage of the Pendleton name feels like a deliberate attempt to mislead loyal customers.

Prices are definitely on the higher end, but hey, you get what you pay for. If you are an REI member, you get offers, and discounts throughout the year, and a rebate in the form of a gift card based on the amount that you spend every year. Not a bad deal. Beware unmarked tariff price hikes when buying goods! The price you pay is NOT the price on the…read moreitem. I recently purchased a new climbing harness at this location. The rack was a little disorganized and I found a harness I liked and checked the price on the box: $94. When I left the store, I noticed I paid $104 for the item! I returned to the store and did a price check and was told by the clerk this was a tariff price increase and they never bothered to update the sticker on the item. They claimed they had the correct price on the shelf, not the item. (Due to the disorganization of the shelf, it was hard to tell which item was which and I went with the price on the box.) Please consider updating signage to warn of tariff price hikes or something to better manage customer expectations and avoid wasting time.
