First parking is on the backside of the building with easy access to the store. Unpin arrival I was warmly greeted and help was offered. I shared the types of wines I prefer and what I'd be interested in learning more about. I was given a brief tour and recommendations were made. I purchased 5 bottles of wine. Additionally, I asked about a specific wine type my favorite Petit Chablis from France which I've purchased in OH. The person who helped me is checking to see if he can get me six bottles of it. Fingers crossed. So excited about my new fund and I look forward to my next visit.

The mini bottle section. A whole wall of airplane‑sized bottles so you can test-drive a new liquor without committing to the full bottle (or the full price tag). It's like a liquor buffet--without the hangover. Want to know what jalapeño peanut butter whiskey tastes like? Grab a tiny bottle and find out... preferably not before work. Our table ate family style to maximize the yumminess. First up was the raclette. Oh my! The smell of melty cheese pervaded the entire atmosphere. The plate we ordered was generously piled with cheese, ham, potatoes, and some picked veg to cut the richness. I was so pleased, I wondered if we should have ordered anything more. The answer was yes! Other entrees included a delicata squash dish, confit mushroom tacos, a spicy pad thai pancake, and beef stew. Each one was interesting and delicious in its own right. You could tell all the food was carefully curated; from the seeds to give a bit of crunch to the squash to the chicarrón like crisp on the mushroom tacos, I appreciated the clear effort. There was only one misstep- it is a pet peeve of mine that if you ask about what's being celebrated in the reservation that it should at least be mentioned by the host or server. Otherwise, why ask? It is a testament to the great food and service at Oakley wines that I consider it a 5 star experience despite that.
