Donuts are okay. A bit over priced. They double charged me with no conscious. Went in July 8 with a $20 groupon. After making my selections, was $3.48 over the $ groupon allotment. So gave them my CC, the guy swipes the card and said system is not working. So I paid the $3.48 in cash. A week later, the $3.48 appears on my CC statement as a processed transaction.. So I ended up paying double. Supposedly the card reader wasn't working, and I didn't sign any print outs, but they still ran my CC after I paid in cash. I should have just paid cash to begin with, but trying to get CC points. Its only $3, but they should have checks and balances to protect their customers. Not going back. read more

Stumbled upon this place while waiting to get my hair done across the street. These donuts are HUGE. I was bummed that there weren't any cake donuts the day I visited, but I can say that the plain old fashioned was one of the best I've ever had. They had a lot of odd ball flavors, reminded me a lot of Voodoo in Portland. I was eyeing up the cookie dough one, but it was so big it would have fed two people! Knocked off a star due to the customer service. I was waiting behind a woman and her kid, and they demanding a donut with bacon on top. The lady behind the counter kept telling them that they were out, but the woman kept insisting that her kid wanted that one (and her kid was whining about it to make matters worse.) The lady working caved in and decided to go make one, leaving me hanging for at least 10 minutes. No apology, nothing. Only took one star because I'll wait to have the donut made just to make the whining stop. read more

It was ok. My husband has been raving about them for weeks now, so I made the drive up there to legendary in lake tapps.... The doughnuts were good. Pricey, but good, and big. I was less than impressed with the service, I felt like they were doing me a huge favor to put the doughnuts in the box. I don't think it was worth the drive, and will happily stick with Epic doughnuts in puyallup... They may not have the plush decor, but the service is always personable, and we are always treated like they want us there. read more

Just reading the menu of this place online and hearing about it word of mouth, had me extremely intrigued. Maybe I came on a good day, but I happened to receive incredible customer service on this particular day. The two ladies behind the counter were very helpful and even asked how my day was going making me feel very welcome. It was my first visit and although I wish I could've tried samples of all the dougnuts, I finally decided on the Snickers bar, Samoa, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. I haven't had the chance to try the Snickers bar yet because the other two were so filling. The Samoa tasted exactly like a girl scout cookie out of the box and was wonderful. The Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup tasted amazing as well with chocolate on the top with peanut butter creme inside. Hands down the best doughnuts I've had around the Seattle area. Most of the doughnuts cost a bit more than your average dougnut but also taste far better than your average maple bar or sprinkled doughnut. Fun! We needed a quick breakfast and enjoyed the doughnuts. I ordered a few of the mini doughnuts and the husband ordered a coastie. My husband wasn't a fan of the coastie but I enjoyed my doughnuts. I tried for the 4 times since I went there the first time. We originally had a great selection and tasty donuts. Every visit since its been down hill. Not that good of variety. A couple I've gotten where hard, not even edible. So I tried this one last chance to get good service, good donuts and I didn't receive it. Horrible selection and it was mid day. After a savage run, my mom and I came upon Legendary Doughnuts to refuel for breakfast (I know, why after a hard workout?). We ordered the blueberry cake donut and the blueberry fritter with two coffees. The doughnuts were nothing special in my opinion and the coffee was mediocre. I love bacon, and not just a little bit. So when I read the reviews for Legendary Doughnuts and saw "the Oprah" (maple bar with Bacon), i decided this was a must for me. So when Groupon had a "now" deal for today I took advantage. Unfortunately I had to go toward the end of the day, so the selection looked somewhat limited. The lovely lady behind the counter said she could make me anything my little heart desired. I got a dozen of these beauties, all different kinds. The Oprah, Blues brothers (blueberry cake donut), The Scarlett (chocolate and white chocolate)...so far I haven't found one I didn't like. The service was awesome, the donuts even more so. Delicious! I ran into Legendary in Auburn to buy doughnuts for my new coworkers. I also threw in one for myself, the Snickers Bar, I believe it was called. My, oh my, was it delightful. The flavors were perfectly blended and the dough was light and fluffy. My coworkers also enjoyed their assorted dozen. I'd definitely return. Only downside is that it is a little bit pricey when compared to grocery doughnuts, but I'd say it is worth it. read more

My family and I have a little love affair with Legendary Donuts. The donuts are yummy, the selection is fun and fresh; there just isn't much more one could ask for from a donut shop. This shop is not a Voodoo knockoff (a fear of mine when we first went), it has its own personality. Legendary's donuts are good enough to stand against any other donut I have experienced; the quality is there, the taste is there, they are legitimate. Beyond the normal pleasant experience, my wife and I learned of a casual program they offer where they will give a tour of the back for groups of kids. They charge the price of a donut per child in exchange for a tour and explanation of the kitchen that ends with each child getting the opportunity to decorate his or her own donut. My wife and I have five children. We participated and the kids were in heaven. Dave led the tour for us and my kids loved him. We had a sense in which the people working there have a passion for what they do. It's not just a job for them. read more

I have been to this legendary about 10 times. The doughnuts are pretty good, but also they're pretty expensive too. If the review was purely doughnut based it would be 4 stars. The reason for two stars is because the service is nothing short of terrible. I have yet to go in and have an interaction with an employee or even the woman owner that I would call good. I have never been greeted coming in and I don't think I have ever heard thank you after the purchase. It always seems like they have something better to do, and I am putting them out by ordering doughnuts. Also they need to clean better, the floors along the display are gnarly. This is all stuff that would be simple to fix too, hopefully they do. read more
