Between…read moregetting charged $3,000 every few months for, "topping off freon" (note: my system was installed new in 2018, so I'm not even sure if freon was the refrigerant the system needed), to proposing a $20k install of a new unit while mind was under warranty (twice), to claiming that my warranty was invalid until I set up an email thread with my HVAC company and my repair team to prove that my system was under warranty, to finally claiming that the local supply shop was "out of parts" for 6 months straight (I eventually called the shop, and they confirmed that they haven't been able to get a response from the repair team.). LONG STORY SHORT, I've been through HVAC hell, and finally decided to go with a new, local company with stellar reviews that recognized my system's warranty. Mario came to inspect the system, identified the repairs that needed to be made, was in and out within 2 hours only a day after I requested service, and not even $500 later I'm enjoying a cool, air-conditioned home. As you can imagine, as a new home owner, most all of our money was tied up in the purchase of the home and we were expecting the air-conditioning to work since it had previously passed inspection. I tried using our home warranty, but they gave me every reason under the sun not to cover it. At this point, we were so close to summer that we could not wait anymore, especially since we had a young child. I met with several air-conditioning companies for quotes, one that even quoted me over $50k for a new unit and ducting. I met with Kyle who worked with me on pricing. I really appreciated his calm demeanor, positive attitude and professionalism through this unexpected, stressful situation. He was able to fit us into their very busy schedule and we were able to get new AC up and running within one week notice. His team, led by Ivan, did a great job with the removal of the old ducting and unit, installation of the new and cleaned up after themselves after each workday. They replaced our entire 1960s house ventilation with brand new functional ducting and made sure every room got the right flow. They found us the best value heat pump for our dollar and tuned it just right to save energy and do the job well. They even helped us make sure it runs as quietly in the house as we can make it, which is like a whisper most of the time (unless we need to change the filter...If we can hear it at all, that's how we know it's a bit dirty and ready to change!)
