I get great service with Dr. Van Epps. We have plenty of time to chat each time I see him. I am absolutely never rushed at all, which is just great. Every time I need something from Sandy, such as a prescription refill, it's quick and helpful. It's just really efficient and yet at the same time, not rushed and lots of care.

He devised a plan to get my blood work perfectly normal with a few vitamins. Never have I had a doctor explain my blood work with me so clearly. It was also nice that I could do the blood work at his office and not at some other lab. It was set up by appointment one week prior to my doctor's appointment, and I barely waited to be taken in for the procedure. The office staff is so friendly. The office exudes calmness. Easy to get to, it has a central Reno location, by Lowe's and Red Lobster.

With Dr. Konakis, I had just that. She didn't tell me what to do, she worked with me to find a solution we were both comfortable with. I recently moved to Vegas and, as such, had to change doctors. The doctor I have here is okay, but he's nothing like she is. I miss her terribly. Two things I didn't like: the wait to see her could be weeks, unless something was really wrong (I.e. not just a check up). Not her fault, she's popular. Second, some of her office staff were frustrating. One of the receptionists is kind of mean, and it was difficult to get message to the doctor if you spoke with certain people. But those are really minor things, and completely worth dealing with.

I should have paid it timely. I procrastinated, and then forgot about it. Perhaps not surprisingly, this practice's method of handling a situation like that is to send you the bill one last time with a nasty gram on pink paper attached that says, in effect, "Hey deadbeat, we're referring you to our collection agency, never come back here again, because we don't treat deadbeats who don't pay their bill". Ok, I guess. I have no particular complaints about the actual medical care we've received here, but I have no particular praise for it either. They seem keenly aware that if you need any walk-in type care they are the only game in town. They are quick to try to send you to the Emergency room at the hospital. The attitude that pervades the staff is definitely one of bitter resignation that they are destined to have the horrible misfortune of having to deal with all of the crappy rude sick people who come in expecting medical care, "how dare they, can't they see how overwhelmed we are already!?" And then to add insult to injury, there are the assholes like me who can't even pay them their damn 40 bucks... It must be hard. Poor things.
