To be honest, I wasn't planning to ever leave, and only did because I thought they didn't take my insurance. So when I learned my eye doctor couldn't see me for my annual appointment for 3 months, I immediately checked back here and found both availability AND that they accept my insurance, so I went all in. I love the convenient location, fixed pricing for exams, ease of applying my insurance and the convenience of Costco optical right outside the door! Office is kept clean and comfortable. My appointment was right on time and the doctor was very efficient with the time. He offered good information about my eye health as well, and went one step further to share how he is able to support his patient's in the cast prescriptions, supplies, etc. run up sooner than anticipated. I'm super satisfied with this decision and experience. As far as I'm concerned, seeing this eye doc may as well be called a life hack.

So I called and asked what I paid for, not knowing it was my copay. I should have asked the first time before paying it ( my fault), and the receptionist that I spoke to explained to me what it was about. I asked to please cancel my contact sample. April 15, I called again and left a voicemail asking if I could please order contacts and see if I could just get the sample while I wait for my regular contacts to come in ( that's what I left on the voicemail). Then the same receptionist called back. And stated to change my voicemail to something that I didn't say ( I still have her voicemail), so I did go ahead and tell her I did not say that to please listen to the voicemail again. do mind this receptionist is rude not only when the first time I spoke with her but the second time around. I remembered her voice. If they have a voice recorder, I need them to listen to every conversation we had so they do not think I'm lying. I don't act rude to people unless they have a rude attitude. I hardly can go to Costco because one, I work at the hospital, and two, I have chemo treatments. This is why I called and see if she can help me. That day I called, I even asked if she can please print out my prescription and if she can please see if I can get a sample so when I have a chance to go in, I can pick them up. And she said yes. ( because what I'm wearing is my last pair) I never had a chance to go back for a while, and when I went to the optical department after work, a young lady there who was nice enough to try to help me to see if I had any prescriptions there, she said no, and no samples as well. I told her I spoke with the receptionist on 4/15 telling her that I'll stop by to order prescriptions and pick up samples. I even showed her the voicemail. So that lady went to the dr office to get my prescription paper, including my clear one, hoping she can ask the doctor to approve the clear one for me since she's the receptionist, but no, she wrote it instead (because I have Stigmatism ) The young lady came out and she said they don't have samples because it's every 6 months they order. I was so upset because that's not what the receptionist said to me when I spoke with her. When the receptionist came out she couldn't even look at me in the eye or talk to me to explain that the lady at the optical department was the one who had to talk to me. I won't make a scene I'm not like that. I just need her to explain what happened to her conversation with me on 4/14. (Still have that voicemail). I am just very disappointed. When I know I'm wrong, I say sorry. But I'm not going to say sorry. I've worked with people like that who act so nice in front of doctors but to other patients/staff they are rude or even talk behind each other and I can't stand those people. I can't tolerate that. Please listen to the voice recording if you guys have before thinking I'm a rude patient. Thank you

Despite it being easy to get another recommendation and switch docs, we keep coming back. What makes it great, how we are treated, etc all contribute to that decision, and are all part of what makes a doctors office a great local business! For the past four years I've been greeted by thesame smiling face at the reception desk. Ashamedly I don't recall her name, but she was always efficient with the check in process, somewhat friendly but also pretty formal. Today it was someone new, and she was clearly a little upset I walked in on my phone and tried to start checking in and somewhat politely let me know I should've ended my call before walking in the door. The experience was a little different but NBD and I learned my lesson. I like that they tell you your appt is 15 min before your actual exam. This gives you time to sign and update paperwork and get your exam started as soon as you're ready. I was amazed that as soon as I'd handed the clipboard back I was being taken in to get started! Dr. Lighthouse is exceptionally personal. She seems to have a genuine interest in you as a person, asking questions to get to know you and making sure you've had all your questions answered too. The art of bedside manner is dying, and she has it going on! It's no wonder she is so well loved by her patients. Oh yeah! That smiling face from the front desk? She's moved back to the optometry desk and is now fitting, adjusting and ordering glasses and contacts for patients! It's a winning team here. The team clearly likes working here and that translates to a great experience every time!

I just got new insurance and tried to go to Costco and they seriously have the worst customer service which is sad because I worked there for more than 9 years. I looked up different eye places and saw that this office wasn't far from me and they looked really clean and professional. I gave them a call and asked them if I could just get my glasses there since I had already seen an optometrist and had my prescription. They said it was no problem at all and gave me their hours. I came in and it was a little busy which was expected since I didn't make an appt or anything since I was just getting glasses. They have such a huge selection!!! I was in glasses heaven! I tried on clear lenses and also sunglasses as well. I found my perfect pair. Looked at the price tag and ouch it was a $500 pair of sunglasses. Hahaha. I said to myself, dang it why do I have to have expensive taste? But knowing that my insurance would cover some of it I tried them on with the assistant that helped me and I fell in love. I never heard of Tom Fords but apparently they are a really good brand. They do have many other brands here that are higher end and mid end and lower end also. But they were overall very nice and professional. I will be coming here from now on and brining my kids here as well. Thank you guys for my amazing sunglasses!!!

This location is out of the way for me and I don't have daily childcare, so it's extremely difficult to visit office like this on the fly. What started to push me over the edge was the fact that the Double R location couldn't order the contacts I had tried from them previously with my very first visit with them. For whatever reason they didn't put the contacts that worked great for me on record. So when I went to try to order the contacts I wanted, the double our location so they'd call me back and never called back. Then I called back again when I was feeling less sick and they told me they never promised to call me back and to call the midtown location. At this point, I'm deciding to order from somewhere else. So I called the midtown location for them to email my prescription. The guy on the phone refers me to the portal. I told him there's no login screen on the website to be able to create an account or login to access those forms. He suggests that there's a link to create an account and access the patient portal from my email. I told him I've checked all my emails and there is nothing. I read the contents to him and he doesn't seem to believe me or acknowledge that maybe just MAYBE that access is missing from their website and emails. Condescendingly he tells me I'd be able to print these prescription forms as much as I want from the portal. He eventually agrees to email the prescription. I've gotten that just fine. If I could access the portal I would have never bothered calling. To prove a point, I removed my personal information from the screen shots and I'm showing both the email leading up to the appointment and the one after the appointment. There's no login or account creation link. I'd post a screen recording of the website if I could. I'm not inept with tech. If anything user experience will UI/UX is the bread and butter of my career. It's the fault of the designer if a simple login page cannot be found by the end user. With an employee of a small business, they'd have the means to relay the information that this isn't accessible to their patients unlike a large corporate business. So I would've expected more curiosity considering this would make their job easier. I'm sorry about the book written but all around the aftercare of this whole brand is abysmal. It's hard for reach a human and 3 out of the 5 times I've had to talk to a human has lead to poor treatment. Myself, my husband, and my Dad in Law were patients here. We're definitely not coming back.
