Classic lack of customer service. Like the review for Tracy R, I was told my glasses would arrive in 2-3 weeks. The online access and AI phone system said pending or shipped ... which clearly they hadn't. It took multiple calls to get answer. It took well over 2 months to get my glasses. That was at the start of the year. Now, 4 months later, the plastic covering over one of the arms slid off and is lost. I went in to get another one. After a few minutes, they asked me to come back later. Hello, I can't drive without my glasses. 25 minutes later after 3 staff people looked at them, they handed them back, said they couldn't fix them and maybe I can over the plastic for the arm online. I asked them why they didn't order it for me, since they slid the frame. They said they couldn't and just stared at me. read more

If I didn't have such a hard time getting contacts my review would be completely different. The doctor is nice. The older woman who works the desk is very patient and nice. This location is out of the way for me and I don't have daily childcare, so it's extremely difficult to visit office like this on the fly. What started to push me over the edge was the fact that the Double R location couldn't order the contacts I had tried from them previously with my very first visit with them. For whatever reason they didn't put the contacts that worked great for me on record. So when I went to try to order the contacts I wanted, the double our location so they'd call me back and never called back. Then I called back again when I was feeling less sick and they told me they never promised to call me back and to call the midtown location. At this point, I'm deciding to order from somewhere else. So I called the midtown location for them to email my prescription. The guy on the phone refers me to the portal. I told him there's no login screen on the website to be able to create an account or login to access those forms. He suggests that there's a link to create an account and access the patient portal from my email. I told him I've checked all my emails and there is nothing. I read the contents to him and he doesn't seem to believe me or acknowledge that maybe just MAYBE that access is missing from their website and emails. Condescendingly he tells me I'd be able to print these prescription forms as much as I want from the portal. He eventually agrees to email the prescription. I've gotten that just fine. If I could access the portal I would have never bothered calling. To prove a point, I removed my personal information from the screen shots and I'm showing both the email leading up to the appointment and the one after the appointment. There's no login or account creation link. I'd post a screen recording of the website if I could. I'm not inept with tech. If anything user experience will UI/UX is the bread and butter of my career. It's the fault of the designer if a simple login page cannot be found by the end user. With an employee of a small business, they'd have the means to relay the information that this isn't accessible to their patients unlike a large corporate business. So I would've expected more curiosity considering this would make their job easier. I'm sorry about the book written but all around the aftercare of this whole brand is abysmal. It's hard for reach a human and 3 out of the 5 times I've had to talk to a human has lead to poor treatment. Myself, my husband, and my Dad in Law were patients here. I was initially very pleased with how easy it was to schedule my appointment online. I visited the office in late April and had a positive in-person experience--both the staff and doctor were courteous and professional. I also decided to splurge on upgraded frames and lenses since my insurance covered a good portion. However, the follow-up experience has been extremely frustrating. I was told my glasses would arrive within 2-3 weeks, possibly sooner. On Monday, May 19th, I called to check the status and encountered their automated phone system. It informed me that my order had been "shipped" and said more information would be available in 3-5 business days. Over the course of the week, I called back several times hoping for an update--only to hear the same generic message. I also tried tracking the order through their website, which was also unhelpful--it only says "pending" with no real status updates. In all fairness: the voice message does state that I will be notified when my order is ready for pickup, but without any tracking information, it's impossible to know whether the order is truly in transit, sitting on a shelf somewhere, or lost entirely. Adding to the frustration, there is no option to reach a live person when calling the office, and my email inquiry has gone unanswered. They could show a little compassion for their 10 minute late policy. I made a mistake on the time of 150 and my appointment was actually 140 unfortunately I was out in the parking lot trying to find my ID which made me one minute late passed my 150 appointment For that one minute that I was late you canceled my appointment and wanted me to reschedule, which is ridiculous. I needed to have my eyes done. I had used eyes zone, unfortunately over the years with just as much frustration and disappointment. I thought this location was better since my wife was there just a week ago and nobody told themabout the 10 minute cancellation. read more

I've been a patient at EyeZone for more than 10 years. Made an appointment a month ago and they called me at 2:30 yesterday and left a message that they didn't have my insurance info and if I didn't call back by 4:30 they would have to cancel my appointment. By the time I got the message they had cancelled my appointment. Why would they only give me two hours to respond and why didn't they have my insurance info after being a patient for 10 years? They said their computer made a duplicate account and that's why they didn't have my insurance info. None of this being my fault they should have done everything possible to reinstate my original appointment including calling the person who now had that time to cancel their appointment. But they wouldn't do that. The doctors are great but their front office staff is a hot mess. Do yourself a favor, avoid the stress of their staff and schedule your appointment somewhere else. read more

So I stopped in today was met by the most condescending front desk woman who said she can't pick up the phone when she has 12 customers in front of her. I saw 2 people waiting, but that's fine. If this office is too busy for nice customer care, I'm sure another office would be better for my business. Ive been to Eyezone since I was a child and have made it a regular occurrence to call eyezone every so many months to simply check if my insurance has granted me a new covered pair. Every call Ive made to eyezone has been friendly and answered this question with friendliness and hospitality, and a pleasant greeting. However my call this morning was none of the above. Immediately upon picking up the phone (at 9:56am) , the lady whose name I didnt catch as there wasnt much of a greeting just says "eyezone" in the most "I hate my job so much" voice I've ever heard. So I confirm again and say hello a second time to receive another cold "eyezone". Kinda off putting but not a huge deal. Everyone has a bad day. I then ask my regular question explaining my insurance situation which was met with "all our insurance websites are down, youll have to log in yourself to see your benefits". This is not the issue I had today, I completely understand IT is frustrating and has issues from time to time. No problemo. Ill call again in a few days when things are resolved. I would log in myself but Im not sure how to log into my insurance benefits because as I previously mentioned ive been going here since I was a child and have no clue how to even do that or what its even called. So i just said sounds good, and hung up. I could have asked her how to access my login but I was just so off-put by the conversation so far. Felt like such a burden to her. My issue was just the aggressiveness and annoyance that she had in her voice. Like me calling to was such an annoyance to her. Beyond that the doctors and other staff have always been excellent, but that phone call was just so unprofessional as I have always been greeted with kindness and professionalism from eyezone workers! So I just hope my next phone call goes a bit more smoothly and ill update my review to reflect that if it does! And also hope the IT issues get resolved smoothly!! read more

I needed an eye exam because it has been about 3 years. I knew my eyes had slightly changed. During the pandemic though, I didn't feel comfortable. I came to Yelp to see where I could go besides Costco and Walmart. Eyezone-Midtown had enough good reviews, so I gave it a try. I was pleased. I requested no glaucoma test and no dilation. They told me what other options to do. I felt comfortable with their choices. They are fully Covid-19 compliant (thumbs up). They have great communication! read more

The receptionist was very rude from the moment she answered my call to when I came in. She was frustrated with everyone. She was rude to another patient in the waiting area. She took my glasses to the back without saying anything. I had gone in to get them tightened, when I first got them back they were a bit tighter but loosened again right way, I went somewhere else and haven't had issues since. One of the other assistants was ride as well, wouldn't acknowledge people when they came in and when I tried to ask a question, he just started at the computer and didn't bother to acknowledge me either. This used to be where all my family would go but we've all left because the new staff has been nothing but rude. read more

They were the last optometrist I went to for eye exam and glasses right before the Pandemic hit. I thought they were pretty good however, now that I need to get in again for another exam and new glasses, I couldn't be more disappointed with them. I made an appt which they impressively got me in quickly for. I needed to change the appt So I called the day before and day of (a few times) to do so. And to just make sure they knew I wasn't going to make it in. No one answered the phone, I could only leave messages. It's going on day 3 now and I still haven't received a call back! My family had previously utilized the Eye Zone on N. McCarran in Reno. After 3 visits to correct my child's glasses they told me they had to let go the eye doctor and the new doctor didn't take our insurance less than 24 hours before our appointment that we had waited some time for. They gave me the number for the Eye Zone in Midtown on Arlington. I'm so happy they did. The second we walked in the door we were greeted with care and courtesy by Shery, the receptionist at the front desk. Upon explaining our difficult experience with the other Eye Zone,Shery quickly solved our problems. We saw Dr. McMains and she was quite literally the most educated and experienced eye doctor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Her knowledge base and expertise with our complicated situation was astounding. She took the time to fully explain what was going on and why the previous doctor missed it. I felt so at ease with her understanding of what was happening with my child's vision. I honestly feel that she is extremely overqualified but so happy that she is available for our family. I am forever grateful for her knowledge and help. The front desk receptionist Shery is absolutely amazing! I have never had someone go so out of her way to help me. She is an indispensable addition to this practice and without her, I feel the office would not have the same inclusivity and compassion for its patients. Shery makes the process of eye care so much easier and I breathe a sigh of relief when I call and know she will be taking care of our issues. I've always gone to the northwest office to see Dr. Rowan but with Covid and things being closed, I procrastinated rescheduling. So, I took the first available which was with Dr. Sullivan at the Arlington office. This was another seamless experience with Eyezone. I really liked Dr. Sullivan, she is very knowledgeable, honest and personable. I love the fact that I have never felt like they are "pushing" anything on me. They make recommendations and I follow what I can! I am very impressed with how they are handling everything since Covid happened. This is an awful time for any business owner, especially healthcare of any sort. They are doing all they can to stay open, safely. First my eye exam was great. Major complaint was due to the fact that I came to the office before I called them requesting my contact prescription paper work. I was given the wrong one. It was for my eye glasses. Then I called them at the place where I was going to get my contacts to get faxed in my RX contacts in which I waited for 35 minutes. No response was faxed in. So, I called eyezone office and talked to who ever was on the phone. I was told it has to be authorized by the doctor. This frustrated me more due to the fact that I personally saw when I got my RX for glasses that the person behind the counter stamped the doctors name on my RX at that time. So either it was a big excuse or not. I will no longer be a client there. read more

Recently had my initial visit with Dr Sullivan. My insurance company threw a bit of a road block during the exam. The issue was immediately put on the back burner and the exam was completed. A referral was made to a specialist while I was there. I would say this practice is about the medicine, not the money. I found Dr Sullivan and her entire staff kind, courteous and capable! I want to start by saying this is the first negative review I've left on Yelp. When I receive bad business, I typically walk away and I hope they do a better job next time. In this case we have lost so much money that I feel obligated to let others know what has happened. After years of being loyal patients at Eyezone Midtown, this year we have lost over a thousand dollars (and still counting) by trusting them with our business. Over six months ago, they claimed allegedly ordered contact lenses for us. The lenses never arrived. Every time I called to check in they acted like I had never ordered them in the first place. They also seemed completely unaware of the change in lenses that were required based on the doctor appointment from that year. The previous year they recommended we order a year's worth of contacts, claiming that any unused contacts would just be traded in the following year. After a very long time, and several phone calls from me, they told me that they would not honor the swap. Finally we just asked for the prescription so we could order it online. It turns out they gave us the wrong prescription and the six month supply of contacts we just ordered are not for eyes with astigmatism. Each time I called the office it came down to one person blaming the other, or blaming the staffing shortage, etc., etc. At this point my understanding is that ultimately it came down to the office manager, Sundae, but who knows. I've made every effort to peacefully resolve this situation (including taking a large financial loss on our end), but the folks there we're unwilling to help in any way. I would be happy to talk with someone from the office to get this resolved, even now, if they were willing to reach out. At this point all I want is the correct prescription which would cost them nothing! read more

Do not purchase glasses from this company! This is the second pair of subpar glasses that I have received from them. I have been wearing glasses for 63 years. The first pair were blurry and could not be cleaned. I then made the error of letting them try again because they were nice. I purchased a pair in 2019. The lenses both cracked across the lens in the exact same spot. Right by the arm. This is evidently a flaw in the frame design. I called and their pat answer is they are not under warranty and I need another exam. A pair of glasses given their cost should last more than 2 years! I am furious. read more

We have moved a lot and used a lot of different places across the US and it is hard to find an office with wonderful, kind, efficient, knowledgeable, and professional people from the doctors to the staff. My favorite lady there is Sunday. She picks the coolest frames for the office and goes above and beyond to meet your needs and make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. I was a customer for over three years in Reno but even after moving to the opposite coast, I called Sunday for help when I could not find good frames in my area. Once again, Sunday found a great frame for me, took care of ordering the lenses, contacting the insurance, shipping, etc. Just amazing service! I love my glasses! My first visit to eyezone was on 8/18. Very clean, only one other appointment in the waiting area. No issues there. My exam went well and the doctor even recommended a different type of lens to help my eyes from straining. Awesome, I thought. I chose my glasses and after the lenses, the total was like $519. Ouch, I was expecting around $400. But my insurance is awful, so I paid and waited for my new glasses to arrive. I was able to pick them up on 8/28. Unfortunately the lenses were not right. I wore them constantly for 4 days before calling for another appointment to see why they are so blurry. New appointment was scheduled for 9/3. Quick appointment, awesome. That day, I received a call and they didn't have power so my appointment had to be rescheduled. The rescheduled appointment was for today, 9/10. I show up, and there is a big sign that says they are closed the entire week. Awesome. No one called me to let me know. So I called the phone number on the sign to see what was up. The lady on the phone can't tell me why they are randomly closed for the week. She didn't apologize that no one contacted me. She scheduled me for an appointment Monday, 9/14. I give it 2 stars because my first appointment was promising. But I have never received a reminder call for an appointment and I was never informed they closed. Also, if they closed because someone in the office has COVIlD, I would like to know that. If they actually keep my appointment Monday, I want to make sure I won't get sick either. I seen Dr.Hubbard and she was amazing my eyes been bad for years and finally got the strength and time to finally go!! So i went the eye exam was extremely thorough, one I've never experienced. They had a wide variety of stylish glasses i have Medicaid and secondary insurance i was able to choose 2 pairs yay lucky me !! When i was done with my appt i paid for my glasses and was told to wait for them to come in. I received a text that was within that week for one pair the very next day i received my other pair it was fast i loved that i got a text very convenient since sometimes i miss calls. Since then the quality of the 2 pairs i got we're awesome. I have some wear and tear on the pair i wear the most which are rose gold juicy couture but i went down and it was an easy fix ! I also bring in my chorkie and he's a well behaved pup he went in to get my glasses fixed and no dog discrimination either, i have told atleast 3 people to come in because they are that amazing !! I have been an Eyezone patient and customer for about 2 years, having seen Dr. Sullivan at their McCarran location previously. I was so happy to see an Eyezone move into my neighborhood and was even more excited to learn that Dr. Sullivan had recently transitioned to this location. They were very accommodating​ with my schedule and needs, getting both myself and my 5-year-old​ in for back to back appointments. As a mom, I most often rate my experience based on how tolerant a business is of me bringing my children because, sometimes, childcare is just not an option. The staff was excellent and Dr. Sullivan was super patient and kind with my daughter. I came in for a routine eye exam, new prescription, and some complaints about eye irritation and left with the tools needed to get some relief. read more
