She takes quality time with you to explain what she is doing and why vs., going beyond the usual eye exam I have had in the past. I recently renewed my drivers license and was able to have her fill out a vision form which I submitted in lieu of taking the vision test there, which shortened my appointment time at the DMV. I would highly recommend Dr. Dennis to anyone who is looking for a qualified optometrist in the Reno Sparks area. I came in on the Friday before Christmas to drop them off after an unfortunate event broke them at the base of one of the arms. When I came in, he looked them over, told me his plan to fix them, took down my information, and told me he was working through a backlog but would try to have them done by the Tuesday before Christmas. It was late Tuesday when he updated me that they were done, so I (understandably) wasn't able to pick them up until the Friday after Christmas. The repair is seamless and they fit perfectly. The price was also fair! If not for a bit of glue residue, you wouldn't even notice anything happened. He seems to really know his stuff, and I hope the repair holds for a while to come. Hopefully I won't need another repair, but I'll definitely come back to see Michael if I did!

However, I lucked out because my optometrist had a business card for repair- It's best to call and schedule an appt. Unfortunately, the frame could not be repaired-.. Luckily, he was able to insert in almost identical frame.. Be patient as this is a much needed service with lots of people needing repairs.. Thanks for saving my new lenses .. And for the cool new frame!

For almost 7 years, we've been living in Spanish Springs and I wanted to find something closer to the house. After doing some research, blue tree seemed to be the best place to go. They were able to get all four of my kids, my wife and myself in over two days. The doctor was awesome, attentive and informative. It was a low stress visit for my kids. One of my kiddos doesn't do well with exam, and doc was amazing. Excited to now be a patient here and looking forward to the care going forward. Despite it being easy to get another recommendation and switch docs, we keep coming back. What makes it great, how we are treated, etc all contribute to that decision, and are all part of what makes a doctors office a great local business! For the past four years I've been greeted by thesame smiling face at the reception desk. Ashamedly I don't recall her name, but she was always efficient with the check in process, somewhat friendly but also pretty formal. Today it was someone new, and she was clearly a little upset I walked in on my phone and tried to start checking in and somewhat politely let me know I should've ended my call before walking in the door. The experience was a little different but NBD and I learned my lesson. I like that they tell you your appt is 15 min before your actual exam. This gives you time to sign and update paperwork and get your exam started as soon as you're ready. I was amazed that as soon as I'd handed the clipboard back I was being taken in to get started! Dr. Lighthouse is exceptionally personal. She seems to have a genuine interest in you as a person, asking questions to get to know you and making sure you've had all your questions answered too. The art of bedside manner is dying, and she has it going on! It's no wonder she is so well loved by her patients. Oh yeah! That smiling face from the front desk? She's moved back to the optometry desk and is now fitting, adjusting and ordering glasses and contacts for patients! It's a winning team here. The team clearly likes working here and that translates to a great experience every time!
