Did A LOT of research before starting this project. A LOT. Using Angie's List, Yelp, Home Advisor et. al. and met with numerous companies. Even contact both big box home improvement retailers for bids as well. So many things to think about, evaluate and consider. Champagne taste on a beer budget? What is a budget? How much could this cost. How much WOLD this cost....So many unknowns. Was very concerned about hiring a professional contractor. Spoke to numerous people about the process, checking references, licensing, etc. It was all on the table. The house was built in the 1980's with no insulation, single pane windows, a flat roof, very dated kitchen and bathrooms etc. Plus, the utility bills were unmanageable. Wanted new windows and doors, but could they be afforded. The first and foremost need was the entire new kitchen, new bathrooms and new flooring. During the first meeting with Alin, started to establish serious thoughts about using his company, Granite Solutions. His demeanor, honesty, and vision was right on point. Alin made suggestions not thought of before that would improve the look. Made suggestions based on experience and did it tactfully and with respect. He provided information about different options at each point to improve cost efficiency, aesthetics and flow of things in the house, he addressed every concern and listened very well. Actually listened and made sure what was being said was heard. Was really hoping his bid would be competitive with all the others received - a total of 10 bids. Laid out two different construction plans for him to bid. Not having won the lottery, costs were a concern and pretty much dictated what could be done. #1 - The "WHOLE" thing, and #2 "just the requirements (floors, kitchen & baths)". Upon comparing all the bids and the work to be performed, we were very impressed with Granite Solutions pricing and the level of detail outlined in the bid. Alin provided both bids and broke down everything in detail. There was even an additional walk-thru after receiving the bids just to confirm and elaborate on everything outlined. This was AWESOME! So, went with Granite Solutions and the excellence from him and his company was reflective in the work and communication before we started and then to the crew that arrived on day 1, to the final walk thru and "blue tape" session. (where I find things that need to be addressed once done). Oh, I only used two pieces of tape, and I'm pretty meticulous. Granite Solutions work was outstanding from start to finish. There was great attention to all details of the project including, adhering to the timetable, minimizing disruption in the house, and the daily cleanup to minimize the mess. The workers were courteous and took pride in their work. The construction environment was relaxed, and there was no feeling of "strangers" in the house because there was constant communication and information flow about everything. No detail was to minimal for a discussion. Granite Solutions transformed a dated nice house into a fantastic "new" home. Ended up going with option #1 and had the whole house done. Floors. Interior paint. new bathrooms, kitchen, all doors and windows, new roof and new AC units. Because of the superior work and the effective use of time and funds, even the exterior of the house was able to be painted. All in all it's a completely new house. Fantastic price, fantastic work. I can't recommend Granite Solutions highly enough for any level of work you may be doing. Counter tops, cabinets, floors, painting etc. Basically any home remodeling, consider Granite Solutions for your work. A++ Thanks very much

First, he was available on a HOLIDAY! Responded promptly & professionally. Super convenient as I had the day off & another home consultation scheduled for later in the afternoon. I had a small handful of tasks needing help/attention. He was prompt to respond & offered his rates/terms up front, no hassle & extremely easy to schedule with. While I did have materials on hand, he suggested they wouldn't be as sufficient in the long term, so I genuinely appreciated he came to inspect & then went to purchase any additional materials based on the consultation. ...and from there, I let him do his art! The entirety wasn't a big ask- 3 smaller tasks of replacing a closet dowel hanger, placing patio string lights & mounting a tapestry quilt. The biggest caveat of this was the kitchen pantry storage cabinet American Furniture delivered, needing assembly. I already knew this would not be possible for me to maneuver, solo. And, I am SO glad I decided to seek a professional to construct this because it took him a good minute! Even better, he went above & beyond to anchor this piece to the wall, seeing it was not fully sturdy due to the tile flooring pattern. He communicated arrival ahead. Had literally ALL of the supplies & materials needed on hand outside of what needed to be included in the consult. He worked independently & extremely quiet (aside from the necessary power tools)- I barely noticed! ...and absolutely acknowledged my senior kitty who curiously wanted to "supervise". The job did take a bit longer than anticipated, but that was due to the beast of pantry cabinet assembly. I am SO happy with the services & I feel like the hourly rate/pricing is definitely on par for the quality & expertise provided. And, he took diligence to haul any scraps/waste out to the dumpster- leaving literally no trace behind. It was very convenient paying via Zelle transfer. Cash is also accepted, cards have a 3% fee. I would highly recommend, and will be bookmarking to save this in my collection because I will most certainly seek Luis for any future handyman services. Still just VERY grateful he obliged coming out on the 4th of July to help with my home needs. The 5 stars certainly are accurate!

There we a couple of other instance and there was never accountability squirm.... Honestly that's unlike 95% of contractors. ADVICE - If the lighting wasn't going to work or look nice, he told you. If the switches we're in the wrong place in the blueprint, he told you. If a door or opening would have been better served with a pocket door instead of a swinging door, like into a bedroom closet, he told you. He told you nicely, politely, never insinuating that I did not know what I was doing or that the architect was bad or wrong. He'd just politely and slowly walk me through a few different scenarios and the real life placement of things and was 100% right in all of his corrective suggestions. The one time I did not listen to him and thought I knew better, after a few months I realized I was completely wrong. MAIN SUBS - Whenever his subs were scheduled to show up, they did, on time, always clean-cut and professional, smiling, and happy. They cleaned up EVERY DAY. Other previous contractors thought nothing of leaving trash on the floor or even dangerous nails when I had small children in the house. I think he is one of, if not, the BEST IN THE BUSINESS and I plan on doing more with him in the future.

They left tape residue on fixtures, the faucet knobs are uneven, there is grout all over the shower tiles and the ceiling that was never cleaned before it dried, and many of the shower tiles still have visible barcodes etched into the sides. Everyone is really nice and easy to work with, but I probably wouldn't recommend.
