I enjoy looking at cards/memorabilia the old fashion way where I can hold and view the actual item I'm purchasing rather then going online and hoping for the best. That is one of the many reasons I am a frequent visitor here. It has a vast variety of unique sports cards/memorabilia no matter what sport, team, or player you are a fan of. Even more outstanding then the selection to choose from is the friendly service you will receive from the owner. John has gone out of his way numerous times for me in helping me find what I was looking for, or answering questions I had. He is more then fair on his prices and very trust worthy, so you never have to second guess whether you are getting a fair deal on what you are buying or selling. With the strong online presence of sports memorabilia, there are not many places like this that exist anymore. This only demonstrates what a outstanding job he does running a very successful and fun establishment.

There are also better choices to find video games before going to a GameStop, not to say it isn't a terrible place to shop for gaming products, but it shouldn't be your first choice. This happens to be one of the smallest GameStop's in the Rochester area because it just so happens to be located in the mall. During normal hours, the store is quite empty of customers, which shows how even when the store has little to no customers, it is cramped and difficult to move around in, especially with all those under $5 bins near the front entrance. They have small kiosk of Wii games that are by the PlayStation 3 area and are by no means expensive but most are in terrible and destroyed generic cases that are often missing the artwork and manual. It would be best to pick up as many as you can as GameStop will most likely cease selling these games by the end of next year. The same can be said for the Nintendo DS games which are all locked in a glass case but are only the game itself without it's original case. They'll still charge a hefty price tag if your looking at a premier Nintendo title so you'll have better luck with eBay then by shopping here for these. If you look beyond the majority of the overpriced newer games such as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the carpet is a bit filthy from constant wear, and some of the signage inside the store is falling apart. This is probably an issue with the mall itself rather than the store but it doesn't appear the staff are doing anything about the issue. Speaking of staff, they can be very pushy at times when it comes time to check out games. They'll try to push you to buy an extended warranty on games in case they break but unless it's a Wii title, you should be fine as there is no reason to spend three dollars more on a Blu-ray disc that is guaranteed to last until the test of time. In addition, always make sure to check the discs before you give them your money because they may give you a disc that has been severely scratched and most likely won't even work when you get home. When you take a case up to the front to buy it, you are not guaranteed that specific case in your hands unless it has a trade hold sticker on the back. If they try to give you a generic case or a case without the directions, ask to have one that's complete, they will more then likely give you one if they have it in the drawer. Don't let them push you into pre-ordering anything unless you already decided you wanted to do it. It isn't worth the five dollars when you still have to buy the game at full value when it comes months later and you realize you no longer want it. In contrast to all of this negativity, you can still find great deals on older or rare titles that are usually ten dollars or under. There are some great games that are one dollar or less but at this location, you won't find many in good condition for that price. If you ever do find a copy, it will most likely be an old five year sports title that will stay on the shelf until it gets tossed ten years later. You off a lot better here buying newer games then at the Game Craze just down a small walk away. If you are mall shopping though, it's still worth stopping in and browsing about to see if you can find anything of value. However, with another GameStop just down the road with a larger inventory, you may want to consider other options.

With the name "GameStop" in your title, you would sort of expect to find at least a decent…read moreselection of games available for purchase. I still have yet to find this at this GameStop despite it's somewhat moderate size and space. Out of most of the stores in the area, this is probably my least favorite branch mostly due to a few reasons. Their selection is very lackluster and poor, worse then the Greece Mall in terms of what is in stock and what is actually "there". I have had many occurrences where I've taken a game up to buy, knowing that they have it in stock after checking online only for the associate to come back saying he "couldn't find the game", meaning to me it was likely misplaced as it happens a lot in my job. This has happened with three different games over the span of three months so I'm either carrying bad luck on my shoulder or someone at the store isn't a very good organizer. Regardless, I now have to be careful bringing any game up to them. Over the whole "misplaced issue", the store appears to be decently organized to an extent. The Wii selection is very hard to find, a huge problem for me as it's really my system of choice at the moment. It took me a few tries meandering about to actually locate the small stand next to the PlayStation 3 titles. I've rarely ever found any games that I needed to add and the ones I did find didn't come with their original cases...not worth it to me. The store is very dirty and shows it age well. It's not a complete disaster but some games that have been sitting their for over a year are caked with a thin layer of dust that can be hard to remove once you take the game home, not very ideal. On a positive note, their Xbox and PlayStation titles were a modest size and organized the last time I went but I can't say for sure if they even stayed that way since sometimes I come in and I'll find a "S" title between a "B" and "C" title. Not much to comment on the staff here. Most of the associates to me either looked to depressed, content or neutral, lacking a lot of visual emotion whenever I made a purchase. It's probably because I ask to have a complete game and I check the disc to make sure it will work even if the associate checks it because I just want to be satisfied with something I am buying. I think GameStop needs a good morale officer to give its associates a good boost in energy because the whole establishment just feels miserable and underwhelming. I hope this improves as time goes or this branch may soon find their doors closing for good.

Poor customer service…read more Called on my way to henrietta to check if something was in stock. I was out on hold so long that I arrived at the store before the girl came back to the phone. Then once in the store, even though there were two employees, one was cashing someone out (obviously no problem there) the other was too busy with inventory to answer one simple question: whether this item was in stock. Since I have plenty of time standing here waiting, I decided to write this review. The stocking employee who couldn't help with one simple question was Jeanette. The store now has several more people waiting, she's still stocking. Good news: soon you'll have fewer customers bothering you with purchases and you can stay focused on inventory
