He then went into their little back room/shop area to grab the traction tire. He started working on it and never told me there would be a fee. I am very able to replace the tire myself. This was very wrong of them, poor business practice and violates NYS and Federal law. I stated to the kid who conducted the work that I wished he would have told me there would be a charge, to which he said, sorry. I emailed a complaint to the business, filed a complained to the FTC, NYS, and my credit card. This was simply poor business behavior. Very disappointed.

In fact, when in the beginning I would go over to his house and he would do his work there. Over the years, he has opened up several shops and the business has slowly grown. It isn't the largest of train stores, but they don't carry any of the low-end, junk stuff that will break easily. I have heard that they are moving again to Greece, which ironically will be just a mile or so from where I used to live when I was in the Rochester area.

My niece got a coloring book, pastel colored pencils, a game with sparkly fish, and a little plastic helicopter. My husband even got some super glue that he needed for work. Nothing was terribly priced, and the staff was helpful and friendly. I have been trying to fit more crafts into my life as a relaxing hobby, and I think I'll have to visit Dan's again to pick up a craft kit. It's a fun place to just browse too.
