Unfortunately the guy who runs this place is extremely rude and impolite. I was berated for trying to trade in some handhelds I repaired. "These are in terrible shape. Look around, do you see anything like that in my store???" (I was told last time I was there to prioritize the screen qualities, but then again the only one he looked at was in incredible shape so honestly I don't know what the issue was. Also a lot of the games in the display case were covered in hard to remove stickers, marker, rental stickers, etc. There were a lot of counterfeit items there too such as fake pokemon cases. So if you're going to make a comment like that to me you need to make sure you're correct.) After this he just stood there for a few minutes and didn't even say anything, not even a no thank you. Then when I asked if I could buy a few games from the display case, he refused, saying "Oh I don't do that, you can have one" in a very condescending tone. Being rude and condescending is not how you treat your customers. If anyones reading this, please go somewhere else. You will not be treated like a human being at this location. read more

The best game store I have ever visited! The selection is unbelievable and the professional assistance that I received is getting scarce these days. The owner suggested games that I never even knew existed and was able to help me out with ANY technical difficulty that I had, and I had plenty. Game craze in general is a great store. They're locally owned and run, they pay more than gamestop and offer better prices and deals. They also tend to have a bigger selection of retro stuff than other game stores, and this particular game craze is no exception. However, overall, I would recommend making the trip to the mall or to the Canandaigua game craze. The guy that owns this one (my guess is he's the owner, he's there every time I'm in) is just extraordinarily impersonable. He's not pleasant, doesn't engage in small talk, and just gives me the overall vibe that having to help me in the first place is a chore. I sold him a console recently and, while I would have liked more cash, the price wasn't the issue. He was just rude and I just genuinely don't like having to work with him. Hire someone to sit in that chair for you and do your trades... maybe I'll come back then. But for the time being I'll be sacrificing the extra few minutes of drive time to go to one of the other local Game Craze stores. read more

Game Craze Macedon is just a joy to go to. It's very clean! Every game, from what's under the glass to what's on the shelves, are very well taken care of. The guy who runs it is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He's pleasant to chat with and almost always tells me something I never knew about a game or series I'm interested in. The pricing is beyond fair. Comparable to what you'd pay online, just with no shipping cost. They sold me a broken disc for 50 bucks. I was pumped when he handed me the game, I couldn't wait to play it, when I got home and popped it in, it wouldn't run. I took it out and realized they had sold me a broken disc. When I called they said no refunds and I got what I deserve. I was so disappointed, that fifty dollars was the last gift my grandmother gave to me before she passed suddenly. When she gave it to me she said to buy something that would make me happy. That game I bought, was a favorite from my childhood and the money along with the joy of the game was ripped away from me by these cheap worms. Honestly disappointed with this scam of a store. If you want to buy a good condition game you'll have better luck on eBay. read more

I've bought a ton of stuff from GC Macedon over the years--mostly vintage games, though they stock new releases as well. Everything has been competitively priced and in excellent condition. This isn't Major Gaming Retail Chain where whatever comes in ends up on shelves as-is. Vintage systems and games are cleaned and restored (e.g., dead batteries replaced in Game Boy carts).
