We had a great experience with Curtis Ballard of Valley Tile Pros. From the start, his…read morewell-organized website and helpful FAQ section showed his professionalism and provided added value. We had a challenging situation with an uneven concrete subfloor from a prior pipe replacement. Surprisingly, a couple of other companies refused to grind concrete, but it is just standard work with Valley Tile Pros. During the initial walkthrough, Curtis took detailed measurements in his sketchbook, provided competitive pricing, and gave excellent recommendations. He set clear expectations regarding the gaps required for our chosen hex tiles, so there were no surprises. He even offered us a supplier discount, and though we bought tiles elsewhere, we greatly appreciated the option. Based on his website, his knowledge and attention to detail, competitive pricing, and his demeanor, we decided to go with him. His timeline estimation was spot on. Curtis completed the demolition, concrete grinding, waterproof barrier (Laticrete) installation, tiling, grouting, and baseboard reinstallation in just 1.5 days. He walled off the bathroom efficiently to contain the dust from the grinding. His layout skills and careful handling resulted in minimal material waste, and I was even able to return a full box of leftover tile. Highly recommend this master tiler. Curtis was efficient but laid back, friendly, responsive, and cleaned up the work area. The porcelain tile floor came out beautiful - the work of a true master craftsman. We would not hesitate to call Valley Tile Pros again.

When I called the toll free number, a young Latina answered and while pleasant, had NO idea what her company's service area was! She proceeded to place me on hold, to "check with her manager" and after a couple of minutes - came back to the line and said she had spoken to her manager and that she would leave a message for someone to call me back... In disbelief, I reiterated my [very simple] question; "Do you service the El Dorado county area?" She said she didn't know (having JUST spoken with her "manager") and that she'd have to leave a message. Unbelievable. Who hires someone to answer the phones for a service-based business and doesn't train them in the basics of their company and the services they offer? To the owner of this seemingly professional company: Please take the time to train (or re-train) your staff so they can properly and professionally represent the business you have worked so hard to build. Needless to say, I told the young lady, "never mind, I'm not interested." Guess I'll be going to the next flooring company on Yelp who IS interested in my business.

Turns out that we had a bit of a miscommunication, and the company took full responsibility for that. They have addressed my issues and have offered to fix them. Also, the owner of the company personally reached out to me to make sure everything was good. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. Pro floors definitely values their customers and I would definitely give them my business again. Thanks again guys, you rock. This is honestly the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I was so excited to get new floors, I emptied my entire apartment onto my patio, they said they would be here around one. At three I began calling, A bit concerned that they were way past the window, they assured me they were coming. It wasn't until 6 o'clock at night they told me that they were not coming. I had to move all of my belongings back inside of my apartment as I cannot leave them outside on my open patio. They assured me they would come the next day with the manager, buy me some lunch and also give me a gift card for my troubles in addition to moving all of my belongings back outside for me. The manager came the next day, I do not remember his name he apologized, did not give me the gift card I was promised nor the lunch. It was raining that day so they were unable to move my stuff outside as it would get wet, but they assured me they could do the job by just moving my stuff from one side of the room to the other. They did, but did not cover anything, I spent weeks cleaning up sawdust. They also broke one of my picture frames and chipped one of my pots. Terrible experience, I am still waiting on my gift card, and to be compensated for the day of work I missed, And the hotel I had to stay in because I could not sleep in my oapartment. Do yourself a favor, and hire professionals.

I had them install baseboards, fix a section of my floor, and restain my floors. I went on vacation while they did this. I came back to all the windows in my house and doors left open. Anyone could have came in. The baseboards were not painted, there was dust everywhere, they got stain on many of my cabinets. They did come out to paint the baseboards but got paint on the floor. I paid to have the furniture moved and ended up having to help move in myself. Additionally, the workers that did the actual work were not even from the same company. I doubt that they were even legal. I could get past most of this but one of the repairs only lasted a few months then broke again. When I reached out they gave me the run around, then when they did come out said that my floors were not installed probably, and that was the issue. I asked when they did not disclose this prior to the project they said that they did not know. They refused to repair it and were very rude about it. I have no choice but to report them to the licensing board and go to court to collect damages to repair my floor. Do not use this company.

David was prompt in providing me with a rough estimate, as I don't trust vendors who can't which indicates their possible lack of experience as they should know how to quote especially if you provide details in your Yelp project profile. I did not have the original vinyl flooring to replace carpeting in my unit's bedrooms, but David put great effort into finding ones what was as close as possible. In any event, David and his partner were able to replace the carpet with the flooring we chose in only 2 and a half days and when we saw the results, we were pleasantly surprised at how well the results were and in addition, though the vinyl was not a 100% match with the rest of the unit, we were pleasantly surprised to find how well it integrated with the rest of the unit and actually made the unit more interesting looking.
