I've been here one time for my regular cleaning and will definitely be returning. Very easy to set up appointments, and they even text you reminders which I like (maybe a millennial thing but imo this is a HUGE convenience). Also, it definitely helps that everyone is so nice and well spoken. There is limited parking but its Shoppes of Legacy so if you know, you know... it is a common issue but there are parking garages in the complex. Coming into the office, the waiting area was small (and a bit dirty/disorganized, maybe too much stuff for a small area?) but didn't have to wait long so that was a huge plus! Started with the usual 360 x-ray of the mouth and then was escorted to another room for the cleaning procedure. During the cleaning procedure, the dental hygienist was extremely friendly and explained everything throughly (even when I asked multiple times). They have a TV you can watch in front of you which is nice (TIP: maybe mount the TV on the ceiling so the patients can watch it while procedures are ongoing? I had this feature in my last dentist office and loved it, definitely made it stand out from the others). Dr. Nalla was up next and quickly read through my charts providing an overview of what I was seeing. She was clear, concise, and didn't try to find excuses/path to make money off of un necessary things. Checking out of the place, I got a goodie bag with travel sized floss, tooth brush, and tooth paste. I wasted over an hour of my (rare childfree) time in the office. I was xrayed by three different machines and told I'd need a deep cleaning for $170 out of pocket. I said I only wanted the basic cleaning my insurance covers and was refused. They would only clean my teeth if I paid the $170. I walked out and left and wasted over an hour for nothing. I felt like I was being held longer so I'd just give up and pay for the cleaning. This place is a scam. read more

Positives: super nice and friendly staff, good location, they perform free whitening for you once per year which is fantastic Negatives: the office could be cleaner and the equipment could be nicer. The walls need repainting, the chair arms are worn, etc. These negatives were a really big deal to me. I want my dental office to be pristine and spotless. I have been going to this dentist since last year in January. I used to live in Frisco so this was the closest Floss to me. The experience has been awesome since day one. I'm currently on an Invisalign program they have made the process easy. They worked with me when I had a difficult time with my payments. They work with my schedule although now I no longer live in Frisco. I had an appointment today and they knew my birthday was this past weekend. When I was leaving they gave me a gift. I thought it so sweet of them to do that. I am sad to say that after I'm done with the Invisalign program I will be moving to a location closer to me. But I will not hesitate to recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a dentist. read more

Yikes! Evidently not all Floss locations are created equal. I used to go to the Lemmon location but moved to Frisco, so I set up my regular cleaning appointment here. It started off well - I arrived 5 minutes early to my appointment and was brought to an exam room promptly. The girl at the front desk was very friendly. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there. While the dentist was examining me, she found that I was in need of a filling. Okay, that's fine, let's do it. She and the dental assistant left and I waited. And waited. Then someone came in to tell me how much it was going to cost, I signed something, then waited some more. And then kept waiting. Finally, the dentist and assistant came back and decided to do the filling first, 30 minutes after the start of my original appointment time. That filling was fine - painless and super fast. Then came time for my cleaning. The assistant was there at first, but then she left. And you know what the dentist did? She asked ME to hold the spit-sucker tube while she cleaned my teeth! Not only did I have to follow her around in my mouth with it, I was in charge of getting rid of my own spit while she worked. This was a FAR cry from the doting experience I'd had at the Lemmon location. I also don't think the dentist cleaned my upper teeth (in fact, I'm sure she didn't). She started polishing after she finished cleaning my lowers, so I asked her if she needed to clean my upper teeth, and she said she already did! Sorry lady, but I would have felt it if you were cleaning my upper teeth. I didn't want to argue because I'd already been there for WAY too long and I had to get home to my baby. When I checked out, it cost $15 more than I was originally quoted. Then when I got home, I realized that I had been given a credit card receipt but no sheet showing the breakdown of service costs. Time to start looking for a different dentist, unfortunately. read more

I did have an emergency a little while back that required immediate attention between visits. I was worked in immediately and the issue pleasantly addressed. I went into this office for just a cleaning and was talked into replacing one crown and a new crown on a tooth. When the old crown was removed I got a severe infection in the tooth that took two rounds of antibiotics to control, the pain was immense during this time and we had to do a root canal on the tooth. On the new crown the dentist drilled until the nerves were affected and was hurting, she (the dentist) then wanted to do another root canal. I informed the dentist to pull the tooth instead and she seated the crown on a hurting tooth instead. Horrible experience. Last night the front PERMANANT crown came off! This is ridiculous! Well, the crown didn't come off, the tooth broke off at a the gum level Floss dental backed out of fixing my tooth, should have figured. read more

The Floss office is very nice and contemporary. The location is convenient for me while working in the Legacy area. The staff and dentist are extremely nice and friendly. Customer service is great. This was my first visit with them and the assistant took me on a guided tour of the clinic to make me feel welcome. This is my first experience, ever, to have the dentist performing the cleaning as this location does not have a hygienist on staff. After the cleaning, the dental assistant finished up with the polishing. I did not know to see if the dental assistant was certified for this procedure until afterwards. I felt like I was being "hard sold" additional services to include invisalign. They informed me about their free whitening treatments with cleaning and x-rays. After all is said and done, I have mixed feelings about my services here. I am not sure if they are in it to provide dental services as needed or just trying to up-sell services. read more

I received my second teeth cleaning here just earlier today and it went very well. The staff was very friendly. I actually mistook my appointment time for 3 when was really at 2. Floss stepped up and were able to accommodate me even with me being late! Jennifer did an excellent job and was able to point out some trouble spots that need extra flossing I otherwise miss. She even threw in extra floss in the care bag they give you before you leave! If you are a new patient they give you a free teeth whitening! Mine is scheduled next week. This is my new dentist for sure. I grew up in DFW and moved away for about 10 years and since recently moving back, I've had to find all new providers. Specifically for my cleanings, I've bounced around a lot because I haven't found anyone that I've liked that well. No more! I had a broken filling and one that just wasn't done properly in the beginning (years ago) so I've had a lot of trouble with it and replaced it a few times and this time, needed a crown to finally fix the stupid thing once and for all. I was nervous about the cost, the pain, etc. I thought maybe FLOSS (being a chain) would be expensive, and the dentist might not be that good, and all the girls in the office are so young I thought for sure they must all still be students, but I was so wrong. They are SO nice, so affordable and I now trust them completely. They were gentle, extremely upfront about cost and the procedure was simple and fast and (mostly) pain free. When I look at reviews on Yelp, particularly doctors and dentists, I'm immediately suspicious that it's a ringer from the office or whatever. Especially if it's a 5 Star Review. That being said, let me assure you at the top here, I Googled dentists plano, had heard about Floss around town, read a good review and a so-so review on Yelp and decided to take a shot for my first visit. It helped that the most recent review revealed that they had a new dentist at the practice -- Dr. Butler -- and the patient was very enthusiastic about his care. Having no affiliation or deal with this practice and having just come from my visit there, I could not agree more. Here's why: 1.) Staff: excellent, relaxed, attentive from the moment I stepped in the slick, but comfortable waiting room. Jenner, the receptionist was on a call, but the Plan Manager was able to hand over the necessary paperwork immediately to get me started. The appointment was on time after I turned everything in and the hygienist, Tiffany, gave me a tour of the most modern dentist office I've ever visited (those who know Floss understand their investment here, which makes a difference in comfort and trust immediately). Like Apple opened a dentist's office to cut to the chase. 2. Environment & Technology: before I extoll the greatness that is Dr. Butler and Tiffany -- the team you want if you decide to give Floss Plano a shot -- let's discuss the amazing soundtrack, decor, office policies and technology of Floss. Great music is playing and that's something you notice at the outset. You also notice a no cell phone policy, which is amazing to see. This keeps the office running on time, no doubt. All the equipment is the latest technology and you can even see your x-rays as soon as they are snapped, which is something I've never seen. 3. Tiffany and Dr. Butler: After the tour, Tiffany performed a non-invasive 3D scan of my mouth, walked me through what she noticed (I grind my teeth and have some incisors out of alignment; I knew this and it was important for trust purposes that she noticed these issues immediately). The pod that you enter after is supper cozy and the plush leather chair makes a huuuuuge difference during your treatment, believe me. After taking like 18 x-rays, which were quick and effortless for the most part, Tiffany introduced Dr. Butler who performed an exam and walked me through the treatment plan. 4. Cost: this is the point in the exam, especially in a place as chic as this, where you expect the hard sell of services to pay for all this nice stuff -- Invisalign, veneers, cosmetic teeth whitening, et al. To be sure, this office no doubt excels in these services, performing them on the most advanced equipment from what I could tell, but Dr. Butler said only braces would make sense to fix my inverted incisors (and that would be a several year commitment, at least); otherwise, I had no cavities and would only need a deep cleaning for the bottom row of teeth. In and out. No big deal. What a relief. I declined to go any further with braces, which Dr. Butler understood completely, then the Plan Manager came back and walked me thru exactly what my insurance covered and my deductible, along with an itemized list of what the visit would cost and it was shockingly reasonable. 5. Cleaning: The team did an amazingly thorough job, I cannot say this enough and it was pain free, since I elected to receive nitric and numbing agents for the deep cleaning. Tiffany dancing to MGMT was refreshing to see in a hygienist, honestly, and immediately put me at ease during some of the more intense moments, although I don't even think that was her agenda. She just really digs music and thank god they play great music for her! Conclusion: excellent staff, great vibe, pro treatment, surprisingly chill experience in just under an hour. Floss, at least in Plano, is most def worth the hype. read more

Very very impressed! Small individual practice located in shops of legacy next to mama pita. Cozy office, warm and friendly staff, clean and comfortable interior. The doctor actually spends time before, during, and after procedure sharing every detail, answering questions, and gave me ample time and not rushing to get me out. The business office manager is polite, respectful, and patient in explaining the procedures required and its cost. and billing was reasonable compared to my other chain dental clinics experience! It was my first time with Legacy Dental Care of Plano ( a.k.a Floss). It had very unpleasant experience with this dental place. I visited to take care of my sensitive teeth. They recommended to do root canal, get crow, and do deep cleaning ( gum therapy ). I decided to do them. Doctor did root canal (tooth 1 in pic) then put temporary crown, and dental hygienist did deep cleaning. The hygienist made a hole on another tooth (tooth 2 in pic) that had filling before and did not even tell me. I found out that she made a hold on my tooth after arriving home. I went back to tell them about it. The dental assistant was so rude and pointed at my x-ray and blamed me that there was already a hole in that tooth when I visited them. What a liar! I told her that I spent freaking $1500 in their clinic not to have extra hole on my tooth. The dental assistant said they would fill that hole but I would have to pay. After much argument finally the doctor who did my root canal stepped in and apologized for both hygienist's mistake and the dental assistant's misunderstanding. She agreed to fill the tooth for free. This was the worst experience I had in a dental clinic. The doctor seemed nice, but the dental assistant was very rude. I don't recommend getting deep cleaning ( gum therapy ) here. If the doctor did not step in then the dental assistant would make me pay for the mistake their dental hygienist commit. If you visit this clinic, make sure to take picture of your teeth before you visit so that you don't have to deal with the hassle I had to deal with to prove that the hole was not there before I visited the clinic. read more

I have been to this dental office three times. Twice for a cleaning, which went went well. The third time was and still is disastrous. I paid $500 for retainers after losing my bottom retainer. There was a lot of confusion prior to going in and this should have been my first red flag, however after "clearing up" the confusion, I went in got a cleaning (second time going) and made the third appointment to get the scans done for my retainers. Prior to the scans, I was promised 2 sets for $500 over the phone. After the scans were done on May 2, 2022, I was then told that the price was $500 for 4 sets. I was puzzled as I was promised 2 sets over the phone and now it was 4 sets. I didn't think this was a big deal, however the confusion and lack of clear communication should have raised a second red flag. After paying, I was told that the retainers/4sets would be ready in 3 weeks. Three weeks passed and I called the office on May 23rd to get an update. After several attempts and not being able to get through, I called again and after getting my call answered I was told that the site was down and they were unable to check the status of my retainers. I then get a call the following day on May 24th for an order of 10 trays. Ten trays? I ask about the status of my retainers and I was instead advised to do the Invisalign process for an additional fee. I clarified that I just wanted the retainers and that I did not need to undergo the Invisalign process again. If that was the case, why didn't the dentist bring that up prior to scanning my teeth? Frustrated with the entire situation I asked for a refund as I clearly paid for a service and product that I did not receive. I have my receipt which shows that I paid for 4 sets, and the front desk office assistant confirmed that 4 sets was listed in their system as well. Two weeks have passed since my request, and since then I have called the office several times along with personally showing up once to get an update on my refund status. I was told that the refund team over at corporate takes some time to process which is completely understandable. However, I have tried to be patient and feel as though nothing is being done while I keep getting the same story and run around. I asked for a refund on May 24th and it is now June 9th and the status of my request is still up in the air with the communication being one sided as I have to take the time out of my schedule to call to try to get an update along with showing up personally as well. I am highly dissatisfied and disappointed with my experience at this dental office. read more

I randomly selected Floss Dental from the Delta Dental website because of how close they are to work, and I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was really nice, they were on time, and the x-rays were quick and painless. The hygienist and dentist did an exam first and recommended services based on the exam, and then Janelle from the front desk went over the costs of the services, including what was covered by insurance and what would be out of pocket, before they started so I could sign off first. I had a deep cleaning done, and the hygienist was very gentle - no pain afterward! It was a great experience and I'll be going back. read more

Full disclosure- I didn't have any services done here. I did a quote for Invisalign. Location: parking is a challenge, leave early for your appointment. They got me in last minute due to a cancellation and had all the insurance tasks done by the time I arrived 15min later. Impressive knowledge - explained things very well. Thorough and thoughtful exam. I chose not to go with them for two reasons (1) they don't have on staff orthodontist, would have to refer out for a couple related services, so why not just go directly there for all in one care? Bonus points though for explaining this in advance. (2) I felt like it was a very salesy approach, pushy due to year end, felt rushed in decision making, which made me concerned about future work, and no follow-up contact. Made me feel like I was more business than patient to them. Overall, it wasn't a negative experience- just that with this kind of investment and so many options, I would want a better experience before committing. read more

I have nothing but exceptional things to say about this location of Floss Dental. I've been working with them for about 3 years now and they have always provided me with outstanding service. I've had some trouble with my teeth post-Invisalign, due to my wisdom teeth and they were so understanding and ready to help me get my teeth straight again with minimal cost. Jenner and Dr. Nala make the best team and I wouldn't want anyone else taking care of my teeth. I love coming to Floss! They're only about a 5 minute drive from my job so it's a convenient place for me to come for my semi-annual appointments. I'm never kept waiting more than 2-3 minutes past my appointment time, and the employees there are always so sweet and welcoming. I love the free whitening they offer as well. Floss has it's pluses and minuses. First, the good part. The staff is very friendly and nice. They are all young, good looking people and very pleasant. So they get an A for customer service. Their offices are very modern, new technology, and clean. You also get a free, once-a-year teeth bleaching included with your service. All is not perfect in Floss-land, and part of it is the dentists there seemed to have graduated about 10 minutes ago from dental school. Everyone has to start out somewhere, but this, combined with my biggest beef, can be problematic. They really push additional services, particularly cosmetic services, and not all is warranted. They convinced me I needed to get this mouth guard thing because I was "clearly grinding my teeth at night". I agreed to it, and wore it about a month. Not again. And no I don't grind my teeth. Next, this "soft spot" in my tooth that my previous dentist has watched for years but determined it was fine, now needed a filling according to Floss dentist. I've never had a filling before. I think this wasn't warranted as the filling was so shallow and didn't require any numbing agent. I went back for my 2nd cleaning because I was too lazy to find a new dentist. Besides, it was just a cleaning. Well this visit their attention turned to selling me on invisalign for my lower teeth that are a bit crowded in front. The same crowding that has been there since a kid and the one that no dentist ever had suggested getting braces or correction for. And it was a hard sell, too. Finally they also wanted to take more xrays on my 2nd visit. I told them they did several bitewings 6 months ago, and they told me "well we like to take a few more each visit". No dentist has ever done xrays more than once a year. Again, upsell, and I bet my insurance would have denied the claim to pay for them. I'd like to find a more professional experience with less pressure on all the crap they want to sell you. Just clean my healthy teeth and let me leave. read more

I found this dental office through the Invisalign website. I had braces years ago and my upper teeth have shifted and I wanted to get them straightened back out and to have a permanent retainer put in so it doesn't happen again. I had previously had a consult with an orthodontist in Sugar Land before we ended up moving back to Dallas and the quote I received there was $3800 for the upper teeth only. That orthodontist didn't express any concerns at all about only realigning the uppers and not doing anything to my lower teeth. The dentist I met with at Floss however DID express concerns and also quoted me $5800. They seemed insistent about removing my lower permanent retainer and putting invisalign in my entire mouth. The lower teeth haven't moved at all and are perfectly aligned and I didn't want the permanent retainer removed. They had to call Invisalign directly to ask if only doing the top of my teeth was ok and only then did they relent on the issue, but the price is still $5800. After further review of their website, it seems that this is a dental office who has qualified, I guess, by Invisalign standards to offer their service. The person I met with in Sugar Land was a specialist, an orthodontist, and he clearly knew what he was talking about. I felt like I was at a used car lot by the time I left Floss. Although the people were nice, they didn't inspire confidence in their qualifications for what I wanted. I won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend them for anything outside of traditional dental work. read more

I had to leave once I noticed others coming in behind me were being treated. No clue! I left and no call of apology at all. My wife has had new docs there state patients should replace nightguards every 9 months to year. Even their "free whitening" has extra upcharge for "real" working whitening agent. I went to floss for the first time to get a root canal checked out that I had recently got done by a different dental office in rowlett, and they fixed all the issues I had including the pain the previous dental office (gf dental) was horrible to me and I was there for 4 hours and wanted to cry after and I didn't like dental offices all because of that one but when I went to floss Dr. Nalla took great care of me and was gentle and finished within a timely manner, I even had time to get a deep cleaning while I was there. So of course I went back. I just recently went back there for some cavities and it was a different doctor. He did alright and he was calm and collective and kept on calling me "my friend" which made me feel more comfortable without Nalla but I prefer Dr. Nalla because I did have to go back for a bite adjustment but they had me in and out. The staff is overall VERY friendly and I didn't feel pressured at all to buy anything I didn't want and my insurance really isn't that good so they most definitely worked with me. The dental assistant Ron, I had the 3 times I was there was very kind and sweet as I said before I didn't like dental offices due to my previous dental office (gf dental) but they office staff at floss I'd have to say is excellent and offered me a cupcake.
