I struggled with creating this post because I dont like complaining. We've been on many fishing excursions and sometimes they don't always go the way we want and that's ok too. As long as an effort is made to catch, we are good. This trip was disappointing to our fishing crew of 5 for several reasons. 1st, we were allowed to do #1, but not #2. The Captain did offer a key for the dock bathroom before departure. However, It can be difficult for the older population to withhold for 4hrs or more without defecating. #2: we trolled for bait fish to feed the sharks which actually cut into our paid fish time. Normally, bait is ready to go upon arrival. The captain mentioned shark fishing and the 1st mate said we wd do both. We assumed we wd bottom fish also. 3: We actually caught 2 really big sharks, but once we got them to the boat and ready to hoist up, both escaped from the 1st mate's hook. Sooo disappointing. We caught a 3rd, but it was too small to keep. 4: We never bottom fish or trolled for catchable fish. We had no idea we were going to fish for shark for the entire trip. We thought it was just an added adventure to enhance the experience. The kind lady that took our reservation was really nice and kind. She even spoke about the kind of fish we may catch. 5: we had 5 fishermen, but only 3 rods were used and used only for shark fishing. To sum it up in a nutshell; we didn't catch ANY fish at all and returned to the dock with absolutely nothing. To all of us fishermen, it was a wasted trip and a waste of our hard earned money. So, if you choose Fish Screamer 3, you may want to clarify what your trip will entail. We hope to have better trips ahead.

The captain found a school of Black Bass pretty quickly and we had a ball hauling in those. When it slowed down he quickly found another school. More importantly, it took them over 5 weeks to refund my deposit and only after I told them I was calling my credit card company and dispute the charge that way. I go to Myrtle beach at least twice a year, and always book a fishing charter, plenty of good ones out there but Reef Raider's definitely is not one of them. However, I booked a half day trip for 6 with Captain Ricky Long's Fishing Service last week (2/1/2020) and we had the time of our lives! The weather wasn't cooperating with us at all. It was cold, wet, and the sea was on the rough side, but Captain Ricky and first mate Rick (aka little Rick) were absolutely wonderful! They not only put us on fish, but they kept us on the fish for the entire time we were out. After several hours of nonstop action, all of us were ready to call it a day because our arms were worn out from catching so many fish. By the time we got back to the docks we had over 60 Black Bass to take back home to NC with us. Little Rick also did an amazing job of cleaning, separating, and packaging all of our fish for us.
