We had family visit during our stay and there was plenty of room. It is located on the Marsh so we were able to enjoy coffee on the deck and watch the wildlife. It is only a couple blocks from the beach and very centrally located for restaurants and a wonderful grocery store that has everything you can imagine. The property management team was amazing - Triston and Will are very responsive, helped us move in, immediately answered questions during our visit and even recommended a great pizza place - Georgio's on Main Street. We definitely recommend Sunset at Sassy's and the Cherry Grove Beach House team. We will be returning for a repeat visit soon!

It was downright gross. We reported it to the front desk (she was very receptive to our complaint) and was told the manager had to be notified prior to any action being taken. There were no other rooms available at the Seaside, so a new location would have been the only other option. Nothing was done that night. The next morning, we were prepared to move to another spot. After speaking to the manager and a maintenance person being notified of the situation, we were offed to have the room sprayed, or to have the mess painted. We chose neither, as that would only exacerbate the issue. We wanted out of that room. From doing my research black mold, the only true remedy would be to have professional remediation. The manager, even after seeing the photos I'd taken said that it could have just been "dirty" NOT! So, she arranged for us to be housed at another location with the same accommodations. We had already packed our belongings prior to speaking to her, so we were ready to move. We did and when we arrived our rooms were not ready. Waited over an hour before we could go upstairs to our room. The room seemed clean. The kitchen was outdated but functional. You be the judge. Mold or "just dirt" See pictures attached. Because of the exposure and inconvenience of having to move, I felt that some portion of the money spent should have been refunded. I will be sending this review to corporate to see if a remedy will be provided. July 21-23 stay. Best part of stay was the beach, beach view and rooms seemed clean, but how clean can it be with this circulating around in the air?

Main Street is loaded with bars, shops and restaurants to suit any palate. Unit 1608 is always where we stay. Very clean, upscale decor and spacious living with a great balcony and view. The Ashworth has a lazy river, 4 elevators, 2 pools and ample deck space for laying out. Mickey appointed courtyard area for staying at the beach and grilling out. "Motor inn" makes you think of places where grimy truckers shack up for a night with their lot lizard in rooms where a black light would cause the place to light up like Electric Daisy Carnival. Not here! This place is truth in advertising and truly is the admiral of motor inns. Manager Sean is really nice and made the check-in and check-out an absolute breeze. Parking at any of their three lots is free. Wi-Fi is free and worked smoothly. A/C blew cold. Pool access is free. Room size is impressive for a sub-100 dollar a night motor inn and felt more like a small apartment than a motel room. I had a poolside room for 70 bucks a night and the boardwalk is maybe 20 meters away at most. We simply wanted a place to sh*t, shower, and shave without having to deal with bugs, degenerates, or being 17 miles from the main drag. This is a mom-and-pop shop that beats out the big boxes in many ways and fit our needs perfectly. Some of the other motels on the main drag charge under 50 dollars per night but you can tell from the shabby exteriors and the lowlives hanging out in front that those are not places you'd want to stay. I was shocked at how tidy the Admiral Motor Inn was and I need to talk about it a little more. I've stayed at hotels worth three times this much in NYC and the rooms were not this well kept. We had a full size refrigerator and I cringed when opening it in anticipation of a science project horror show. I was sorely mistaken because the fridge was SPOTLESS inside. The same went for the microwave, A/C filter, bathroom, carpet, towels, tub, and pretty much everything else in our room. This was one of the cleanest lodging facilities I ever stayed at in the country and that's coming from a man with crippling cleanliness OCD. Protip: Many motor inns and budget motels throughout the country often house vagrants/homeless and other unsavory clientele. Flip through the Expedia/Yelp/TripAdvisor/Google reviews of any hotel/motel/Holiday Inn and make sure you never stay at a place that reportedly serves as any sort of shelter. The bad: The facility is rather dated and the cinderblock room was a time warp to spring break 1993. I swear it even smells exactly like summer '93 in there. Sink was ratty. Old fashioned fuzzy television set, old fashioned fridge, ancient ten ton wood furniture your great grandma had when you were a kid. This isn't necessarily a bad thing though because it helps keep the price down for those of us who don't care about worthless crap like "free" breakfast, room service, valets, or a big-box name brand. Again, this is a mom-and-pop shop whose sole purpose is to give you a room with a shower to wash off sand in after a day at the beach, and a clean bed to sleep in after you're tired from swimming. That's all! The ugly: The following things are are not the facility's fault so I am not deducting any stars but you ought to know: The area is party city and gets pretty noisy especially after dark. Granted, we went during Bike Week 2016 so I guess revving engines, blasting stereos, and peeling rubber are to be expected but at one point at around 2AM there was a flash mob of about 40 kids in the hotel parking lot blasting gangsta rap and dancing on a BMW's roof while swigging vodka from bottles as a sea of followers recorded it on their cellphones and cheered. I'm from NYC so I'm used to seeing asshattery but it was going on within a few feet of my parked car and the facility staff was long gone for the night so I was getting a little nervous. Thankfully nothing happened and the kids buzzed off but maybe the owners should put a flashlight cop/square badger there at night to prevent anything stupid. In conclusion: It's cheap, clean, friendly, and steps from the boardwalk. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

I would recommend y'all to get a room that is sea view (as if u book that place) Bed mattress itself is somewhat comfortable. Blanket, sheets & pillow is not bad. Thick fluffy pillows that makes me uncomfortable. Need little firm that I can zzz better. AC is ok, not blast cold as I expect but its breeze enough. Problem is.. I found 2 bedbugs, 3 roaches on the floor, & showerhead is NOT design for 6'2" guy!!! Jeez. Pool ? Suck. At least they have some beach chairs for sunbath to get tan on. Soda machine outside ate my coins. Im like **** you, coins didnt return. Forget it. Parking lot? Crowded! Lucky for me that I parked, stay there & walk. Boardwalk attractions is only 15 mins walking distance is not bad. They need to do something about bedbugs, roaches & beds. Disappointing. Yea, .. I came into town for some business on the weekend of April 26-28 expecting to just grab a room anywhere.. I stopped by the Hilton, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn and similar hotels expecting to get a quick room with in the myrtle beach area..eveywhere I looked was booked so I started calling around and everything was booked up..i was shocked and eventually called the Conway hotels hoping to at least get something there... As I drive up 501 I saw to the right a little yellow hotel, one story and turned around...the manager or owner was very nice and got me a room for a couple nights. It was recently remodeled w new carpet and paint but mostly I liked the fact that it was clean with tv, phone, shower and king size bed for a good price...Great Value!! The other guests were down to earth hard working people enjoying their lives and a few were around the pool the next day.. I ended up staying another night, Sunday, even though the beach traffic was heading home and I could've gotten a room anywhere... Good Price, Good Service and off the beaten path...

The view from the balcony is great and the condo we are staying in is in great shape. The elevators are quick and efficient - which is especially important during the pandemic. I like that North Myrtle Beach appears to be quieter than Myrtle Beach - but still very easily accessible to stores, good restaurants, and entertainment venues. We are definitely looking forward to coming back next year as my 2.5 year old is having a blast. Tip - get up early (e.g. 7 am) to set up your beach gear like umbrellas and chairs in a prime location, then go back up to the condo to rest/get ready. The people here are very respectful and won't touch your stuff!

What should have been the beginning of our vacation became nearly two days of documenting problems, making calls, waiting for assistance, and dealing with cleaning ourselves. This was not a minor housekeeping issue. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 At 1:00 p.m., we were texted that the rental was ready. At 1:45 p.m., the office told us it was not ready. We returned closer to 3:00 p.m. When we entered, we were shocked by the condition. At 3:08 p.m., I contacted Elliott Beach Rentals. Their representative apologized, acknowledged the condition, asked for photographs, and said a re-cleaning team could be sent. Beginning around 3:24 p.m., I sent photographs documenting: * Mold around shower windows, doors, corners, and bathroom areas * Hair in the shower * Dirty bathroom tile * Food caked inside the oven * Broken glass on the floor * Cracked refrigerator shelves and water inside drawers * Dirty rugs and towels * Filthy light switches * Fingerprints and film covering sliding glass doors * Dead bugs and hair on doorknobs * Potato chips underneath the television * Ceiling fans so dirty that dust flew through the room when turned on * Food, cereal, dirt, and hair in the master bed * Used feminine hygiene products underneath the master bathroom cabinetry At 4:00 p.m., I asked if we could be moved. We had paid more than $2,600 and did not believe we should have to spend our vacation cleaning a condominium that was supposed to have been professionally cleaned and inspected. I was told a re-cleaning team would be sent and management would address the situation. At 4:32 p.m., I was told management had already gone home and would not be available until 8:00 a.m. the following morning. We were left in the condominium with the documented problems and no manager available. I requested a refund of the cleaning and inspection fees because the condition indicated those services had not been adequately performed. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 At 9:01 a.m., we still had no call from management and no cleaning team. At 10:25 a.m., we were told the re-clean had been entered. At 2:11 p.m., we were still waiting; housekeeping was running behind. At 2:36 p.m., we were finally told a housekeeper named Ronnie was on the way. When he arrived, the work order was incomplete and did not include all the problems we had documented. Ronnie also told us cleaning the food from our bed was not his responsibility. We were approaching 24 hours after reporting the condition. Eventually, two cleaners were sent to sweep and mop. I explained that sweeping and mopping did not address the extensive problems we had documented and said I was going to speak with management about the incomplete work order. The cleaners left. We did not refuse cleaning services. They left while I went to speak with management. When I attempted to speak with Nicole, the manager, I found the office locked. Nicole later told me I should not have turned the cleaners away. That is not what happened. After nearly two days of trying to get the rental properly cleaned, I was also told to "calm down." We paid thousands for a rental that was supposed to be ready. Instead, we spent our vacation documenting problems, making calls, sending photographs, waiting for assistance, and trying to obtain the service we had already paid for. THE MANAGEMENT RESPONSE The condition was unacceptable, but the management response was equally disappointing. We reported the problems immediately, sent photographs, requested assistance, waited for cleaning and management, and repeatedly followed up when nobody arrived. Eventually, Nicole stopped taking my calls and communicating directly with me. My husband ultimately spoke with Kyle, who was presented to us as corporate management. We received $600 in compensation. I appreciate that, but it does not change that we paid more than $2,600 for a rental that was not properly cleaned or ready for occupancy. WARNING TO FUTURE GUESTS If you are considering Elliott Beach Rentals, do your research before booking. Read recent reviews carefully and ask what happens if you arrive at a property that is not actually ready for occupancy. This was far more than a minor housekeeping issue: we documented mold, hair, dirt, food, dead bugs, broken glass, damaged refrigerator components, filthy surfaces, and used feminine hygiene products inside the condominium. We reported these conditions immediately, yet spent the following day waiting for a cleaning crew and repeatedly contacting the company. Our vacation became nearly two days of dealing with cleaning problems and management. For us, this was the worst vacation rental experience we have ever had. We paid for a clean, inspected vacation rental. That is not what we received. We will never use Elliott Beach Rentals again.
