Where could Elliott improve? Where can we start? We are staying at south shore villas in unit 1007. To start the rooms are not cleaned well at all, as evidenced by the poop that was splattered on the bathroom wall that wasn't cleaned. In addition to that, when we pulled the curtains back there was an inch of dust. This is a very poor way to start vacation. After that my step mom was sitting in one of the chairs in the living room and felt something on her arm, turns out there were a bunch of ants crawling on the table and her arm. At this point it was time to make a phone call. She called the office who asked if we wanted someone to come clean the bathroom... that seems obvious. Yes, we would like someone to come clean the bathroom which they did. There was an ac issue that they also sent someone to look at that. Turns out we the humidity was caused by a vent that needed to be changed but they had to get an approval to do so. As if this wasn't enough today we went out to take a walk and noticed the pool was blocked off. We asked the man what time it would open and he said it was closed for the week to be power washed. This was never disclosed to us upon booking or check in. If this were the case we wouldn't have stayed at this condo. At this point we called Elliott again to confirm since we had never been made aware of the pool maintenance and she said she didn't tell us because it should have been done. This should 100% be disclosed when it is booked because we would have booked elsewhere. There was no offer for compensation or alternatives just half hearted apologies which mean nothing at this point. This is a very poorly ran operation. The rooms are filthy. The property is very poorly kept. And I highly recommend anyone planning a trip to Myrtle beach use a different management company and resort so that you aren't spending your vacation week as disappointed as we are. read more

We rented a house, with a pool, in the Windy Hill section of North Myrtle Beach. When we arrived late Saturday, the AC was barely working & the TV in the living room was broken. We contacted the realty office on Sunday. They sent someone to the house to look at the AC. He told us the house would need a new TV & AC unit. However it was a holiday weekend so they couldn't replace the AC unit & TV until the realty office was open, after the holiday weekend. It was unbearably hot so we bought fans to circulate the hot air. The refrigerator was old, handle was broken & it had a tough time keeping the food cold. There was a power outlet mounted on a 4"x4" post at the bottom of the outdoor stairs with loose wires & cover plate so we bought electrical tape & covered it. The toilet seat in the primary bedroom needed replacement. The beds in the second upstairs bedroom were full size & twin over twin bunks, not the sizes advertised when we rented the unit. PVC piping under the house had separated at joints & dripping water. The beds in the primary bedroom & downstairs bedroom had a plastic liner. 6 people in our family left the house with ear infections (assumed problem with the pool water). We contacted Elliott Realty to complain & they offered a discount. The discount was applied, but it was not enough to account for the stress we felt, especially when we were looking forward to a fun & memorable family holiday week. read more

We are staying at the TAJ, a home offered for rent in North Myrtle Beach by Elliott Beach Rental. We have not stayed at this place yet, but are booked for July 2nd through July 9th of 2022. As a bigger family we needed space and there were not a lot of homes available at the time of our search. This place popped up and seemed to good to be true. We booked right away, and now have found all these bad reviews of this property. PLEASE STAY TUNE FOR A UPDATED REVIEW. RIGHT NOW WE WILL GIVE IT A 2.5 STAR UNTIL WE KNOW FOR SURE. Okay so update to my original post. On the very first day, our kids were going up the outside stairs on the side of the house when one of the wooden steps fell off, which is very dangerous for my children. We called the Elliot beach rental office to report it. The office said they would put in a work order right away. It never got repaired! Other areas outside we're in need of repairs as well. Missing bricks near the hot tub cause one of our family members to cut their foot. If you lean to hard on one of the rails leading upstairs to the deck could fall. Inside the home was dirty, sand on the floors and basically everything was worn down, older, and needed updating. Like other reviews, we now need to change our review of 2.5 stars to 1 and 0 if I could. I realize it is not Elliott Beach Rental's issue, but the owner, either way they should reduce the price of this home until repairs are done. Elliott Beach Rental should put pressure on the owner, and they should let potential renters know the truth. Entertainment areas were very small as well as kitchen... The bedrooms packed with beds, not leaving room to move around. With 7 bedrooms, it is more ideal for 14 people not 24. This home is not suited for bigger families! In a few bathrooms the drainage was very slow. Linens were lacking although we bought the linen package. No hand towels, bedding appears old and worn out. There is a positive part... there was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Steps to the beach and a good location to everything. I could post many more pictures, but hopefully this will give everyone an idea. Elliott Beach Rental Properties might have to many properties to manage? We arrived to our rental unit on Saturday and it wasn't clean at all despite the toilets having the "sanitized" stickers on them. The bathroom showers had hair in them despite none of us took a shower yet. Drawers full of hairs and sand and one in particular had mouse droppings. Floors disgustingly dirty and full of crumbs. The kitchen appliances disgusting with left over food from previous renters. Most utensils and plates and cups filthy despite being in the drawers. When we opened the fridge it was at room temperature not cold at all and same temperature as the room. We turned it to high and went about our day and went grocery shopping. We came back and fridge was the same. We then called the office and they said they could have someone look at it. Someone came and said it was fine and give it 24 hrs. Cool thanks. Back to the nasty mess. We called the office and they said another Maid would come and clean. Ok great. She came around 1 pm on Sunday and looked around and confirmed things weren't cleaned. The sofa bed when she pulled it out had mouse droppings all under it. She then called Elliot the office and stated that to them as well as took her own photos. She was in the phone with them for about two hours just talking. Finally the only thing she did was broom and vacuum her little pile in the living room. The same day I called the office and told them what had happen and they said they could have someone in the next day to clean. Next day comes around it is now Monday and no one shows up so we called around 6pm and someone in the office said they had no maids to clean tonight so they could come the next day on Tuesday. Maid comes in Tuesday morning and we tell her the story and she actually did a decent job which we thanked her for. On Wednesday someone stopped by and brought us a couple new utensils and bowls which was nice. All in all overall the building itself is located in a good area and great pool and beach. We really just had the worst luck on our stay but three days in they fixed it finally. We took photos of what we personally had to clean. Do not rent from Elliott Reality!!! We book a trip to North Myrtle Beach through Elliot and when we got to our room it was absolutely disgusting. Not only was there pee all over the bathrooms, cigarette butts on the balcony, The tub did not drain, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes, the beds were not clean the air had black mildew all over it. Also, the plunger holder had brown stuff all on it. When we called to tell Elliott about it they sent a person to "re-clean" it. When the lady showed up she was horrified on what she saw. She did her best to clean but couldn't do it all. When we physically went to the office for Elliot we were told by their employee George that he would refund our $65 cleaning fee! After being on the phone for over 1 hour with the Reservation Director Stephanie, she told us to email her the pics and she will see what she can do. She responded with, "I am very sorry about the condition of the unit at your arrival.  I have refunded the $65.00 back to your card. I have also submitted your reservation to customer service so that they can send you an apology letter with a free cleaning off of a future stay." Really. Like I would ever stay with them again! We have been going to Myrtle Beach for over 20 years and have used Grand Strand Vacations before and have never had any type of issue. You can see by the pictures that I am not just saying this to get something in return. I just want them to know that they are putting people at risk when they do not clean properly!!!!. I am going to submit these pictures to the South Carolina Health Department as well. They are not practicing Covid-19 cleaning protocols. This was my first time renting from Elliot Beach Rentals. We (extended family of 11) rented the Osprey Nest beach front home. Location and view were perfect. The house had it's issues. I understand it's an old home and some things can be overlooked. Here are a few issues we had that can't be overlooked. -The grills were extremely dirty, so we had to clean them prior to use. -Some of the patio furniture was rusted and some of the patio chair cushions were torn or mildewed or both. -The A/C on the main level of the home went out. I notified Elliot Rentals and it was fixed within 2 hours, so we were very happy about the quick response. But from reading other reviews, it appears that this has been an issue before. -Several of the tiles that surround the pool are broken off and my brother cut his finger on a broken tile. -The window screens in the detached apartment are completed shredded and blowing in the wind. -Lots of trash noted in the side yards. -Mattresses are extremely uncomfortable. -Porch flooring on detached apartment is rotting and weak in spots. -Floor vent in kitchen is broken. We had to place a chair over it so no one would fall in. Ceiling fans on back deck are in poor condition. These aren't new issues as they have been brought up in previous posts regarding this specific home. If these items were fixed, we would definitely rent this unit again. read more

We rented a room at Baywatch Tower 3 a year ago. Today I get a call stating the owner has been there since May 1st and is scheduled to be there until May 31st. We chose that particular building a year ago because we have numerous family members that stay in Tower 3 during the time we plan to visit and we enjoy being close together. We chose a particular room because the room we chose has a curve balcony and we're able to see the ocean as well as the side the building faces. The problem we have is, if the owner made arrangements to stay, he contacted Elliott to have them block his room to ensure it would be available for him upon his arrival. We just got the call this afternoon informing us they changed our room to Tower 1. Of course, we're upset because again, we planned our annual week-long vacation a year ago and now we're told two weeks before arrival we're moved two buildings away from our family. That's too much walking back-and-forth for my 75-year-old mom who is staying with us. Yes, it's the owners right to stay in their rooms as they choose but if they want their rooms to be rented, consideration should be made for the renters. We initially spoke to a customer service representative who was very nonchalant and rude as we explained to her why this was an inconvenience for our family. The supervisor showed a little more understanding; however, we could not be moved to a room in Tower 3 because there is no availability. We have rented from Elliott for quite a few years and within the past five years, this is the third time they've moved our room. We were already stating this would be our last year renting through Elliott because the prices keep going up and the rooms are not good quality. After today, we are definitely going in another direction. Elliott will not be getting anymore business from us and we plan on having conversations with our family members to go elsewhere. read more

While I am not a big fan of Myrtle Beach (too many high-rises resulting in too much traffic and beaches that are way too crowded for my taste), if you are going to stay in the MB area, at least North Myrtle is a little less congested overall than its southern sister. The Sea Castle Condo building is a mid-rise concrete structure right on the beach offering 3 bedr oom/2 full bath condos with aprox 1500 square feet and an open floor-plan. It is typical of beach condos, but with the added bonus of a huge balcony over-looking the ocean. The unit we stayed in is managed by Elliott Realty. The parking is a bit tight in the deck, but there is over-flow parking across the street. In addition to beach-front access, other amenities include a decent sized swimming pool with a separate baby pool, hot tub, and sauna. I liked the layout of the condo but it could have used a little updating (fresh carpet & paint as well as updated kitchen appliances & Wi-Fi internet access would definiltey make it a lot more appealing). One major negative was that the place could definitely use a more thorough cleaning between rentals. I had to clean the bathrooms and kitchen before use. Also, I noticed the dishes after coming out of the dishwasher still looked dirty, so I had to re-wash everything before using anything. The sliding glass doors and glass table looked as if they had not been cleaned in ages. Also, compared to other vacation rental homes I have stayed in, this place was not properly appointed with items such as soap, toilet paper, paper towels, towels or sheets. All in all, I have stayed in much nicer beach condos... but, the asking price for a weekly rental here during high season is reasonable. If you want deluxe luxury accomodations, I would not recommend this place. However, if you want a decent place to stay at an affordable price, I would recommend this place. read more

I tried to rent from them, but because I was a local, they would not rent to me. I was building a home and wanted a winter rental for a month while my home was being completed. I was completely honest with them and they said it went against their policy because locals trash their units. I offered a background check and would pay a security deposit, but they wouldn't allow it. I went to Seaside Vacation Rentals on Main St. and received exceptional customer service and a great unit to stay in. I no longer recommend Elliott Reality to my family. We have been customers of Elliott Realty for more than 20 years. Sadly, this company has been steadily declining for more than 10 years. I think it may be a case of they have too many properties and not enough caring staff. This last year will be our last. We rented at Xanadu II, #703. The owner and Elliott should be ASHAMED to rent this unit. No truth in advertising; the pictures must be old on the website, because the unit is in terrible shape. We were told the unit had been cleaned, but that was definitely not true. Food crumbs and stains on the carpet, sticky kitchen floor, dirty appliances, broken coffee maker. The carpeting especially is in horrible shape. We did go to Elliott after we checked in with a list of our complaints and were told per the contract, we have to let them try to make it right. There was no way to fix the carpeting and broken furniture. The curtains had mold on them and wouldn't close, as the rods were broken. A very sweet lady showed up to clean and was there for 2 hours and did her best. The next day, a carpet cleaner showed up but told us the carpeting was shot and needed to be replaced. Another contractor showed up and took pictures to share with the manager at Elliott, and his comments were, "This place is in bad shape." My direct message to Elliott Realty is, you must do better. We wasted $1500 on a property that needs to be renovated. I'd like to ask the manager of Elliott to personally start looking at these properties and holding the owners accountable to either upgrade these units or not be allowed to rent them. read more

I should lead with the fact that this review is informed by both my personal experience during this trip and the foolery that I observed and am about to share. We were at Ocean Bay Club #902. My partners mother booked this place sight unseen because they have rented from Elliott Rentals many times in the past. I didn't select or personally hand over my card for this rental so I didn't think to look up the reviews for this place. Some of us arrived on Tuesday and by the time the rest of us arrived on Thursday this review was halfway written. First, folks arrived on Tuesday to a dirty and outdated condo. As in urine stains on the toilet that had the "we cleaned this" seal on it. There was layers of dust on flat surfaces and fake plants and the baseboards were so dirty they were grayish black. Lighting was out in one of the bathrooms, all TVs were not in service, and several of the dishes were chipped, utensils old, melted and mismatched. The washing machine and dryer were broken as well and when someone came to repair it they just walked right in unannounced and scared the hell out of our mother as she was coming out of the restroom. They still don't work. The furniture in the living room was so visibly filthy that I wouldn't have let my dog sit on it. I'm not kidding, we put the very cheaply made sheets that we paid to have included in the linen package on them to sit on. Speaking of the "linen package" they were provided in plastic wrap. Like the kind you wrap food in. The towels were hard, worn, and discolored. The quality was worse than dollar tree towels and we ended up going out to purchase our own. But back to Tuesday before we arrived. By the time the first half of us arrived the office was notified and we were told someone would come over to address the problems however they failed to inform us that the business office would be closed on Wednesday. This resulted in us having to call on Thursday, now 3 days into a 5 day vacation, to repeat this to someone else at Elliott. When we arrived we ended up in the twin bedroom that had no working air conditioning and two very bouncy uncomfortable mattresses. My back hurts. The furnishings and fixtures were old and outdated and I felt the need to spray everything down in Lysol. Friday we spent all day staying in the condo because the cable company was sent to repair the service, some contractors came to clean the furniture who not only took a 45 minute break during the cleaning but had the nerve to ask us to refrigerate his beverage while he worked PLUS they sprayed water and cleaning solution all over the floor and didn't bother to ask us to remove the large bag of Birthday gifts sitting there. AND when we asked how long of would take to dry they told us 4-5 hours and they didn't arrive at 10 am like we were told, but 1pm. So after half of us we're at the beach all day they could not come in and sit down on anything because we had the cushions out on the balcony drying. When my partners mom called again, it legit pained me to see her keep having to explain to the person at Elliot WHY this is unacceptable and WHY we should be compensated. She didn't get to go to the beach a single time because half the time was spent baby sitting strangers in our space (who made sure to tell us they weren't from Elliott) and the other half on advocating for us to get what we paid for. We thought it fair to be compensated for 3 days since for 3 days we were just trying to get operational in the space. They declined and offered one day and somehow thought it appropriate that half our vacation was used literally cleaning up their mess. At this point I started looking up Elliott Realty and realized this is normal for them. They are well aware of the poor management and inattention to these properties and it's well documented on reputable travel sites. If you're still reading you should also know that this week is week two of the Bike Weeks hosted at Myrtle Beach. And though we didn't plan our trip around this, based on our interaction with a manager at Elliott, it seemed that he made that assumption. Honestly it felt prejudiced and his tone was such that he felt he was doing is a favor by "giving" us back money for one day. We called him out on it and he stuttered out a little more and offered a comped 5 day stay in the off season. Um no. We select this week every year. I was so exhausted by listening to what was happening that I don't even know what we ended up with. And get this: the business office was literally across the street from Ocean Bay and they never came over. I personally will never rent from Elliott and will tell everyone I know not to either. The peeling wallpaper and inch of dust everywhere, not to mention that the pan left for me to prepare food was so disgusting, I wouldn't consider using it. The walls had some kind of gross brown stuff dripped down, and the towel bars in the bathrooms fell off every time you used a towel. Thank goodness I didn't trust them with providing linens. who know what I would've found on them?? When I called and sent pictures of the above, they offered me a $200.00 off on my next visit !!!!! Carolina Blue is a property managed by Elliot. Our family has been coming to Myrtle Beach for many years renting great beach houses from Elliot. This year was the exception! Do not stay at Carolina Blue! The pictures on the website do not represent what you will find.The house was dirty, and the furniture stained. There was mold growing inside one of the refrigerators ! When we let the Elliot team know how disappointed we were, they sent a cleaning person out that afternoon. This house has not been really clean in a long time. Our family rented 2 Condo's unit #1210 and unit #1303 at the Ocean Bay Club from Elliott Realty, July 3-10,2021. They were both nasty but unit #1210 was disgusting. We had to call at 6:45 to see if our condos were ready, they didn't bother to call us. All they did in unit #1210 was put Clorox on the floor and mopped a couple of places. We turned one of the bed covers back and there was candy stuck to the mattress cover. There was poop on a chair and they have NEVER cleaned the toilet. We had to put sheets on all the furniture before we could sit on it. The day of the tropical storm/hurricane there was so much water coming in the sliding glass doors we had to mop the floors. Even the common areas were nasty, such as the outside hallways needed to be vacuumed. We were so disappointed because these condos were not clean. The night we checked in we had to go buy cleaning supplies, blankets and socks for the kids so they could walk on the nasty floors. They only gave us back the cleaning service money and the money for the cleaning supplies we bought which only totaled $500.00. Our family that stayed in 1210 came to our condo to eat all meals because theirs was so nasty. We had 7 children with us and two were crawling babies so therefore we had to put blankets down before we could put them on the floor. I do not recommend Elliott Realty nor Ocean Bay Club for your beach vacation. When I told someone at the realty company I was writing reviews he said " it won't hurt us because we have been in business forever" Please, Please find another place to stay unless you like to clean on your vacation!! read more

I will start by saying if I can give this place no stars I would. Elliot beach rentals doesn't even deserve one star. We had a reservation in Baywatch Tower 2 , 17th floor from 4/9/22-4/17/22. We drove 13 hours from NY for a vacation to have the people next to us smoking the entire time. When In fact it is a no smoking property and it is posted all over. We Went down to complain to the front desk who did come up and knock on their door to tell them that it was a no smoking property. However, They continued to smoke both inside and on the balcony. The next day we went down to the Elliot real estate office and spoke with Jamie at the desk who was very understanding to our concern and called over to Baywatch to talk to the manager who went up and talked to them again. That night was a nightmare - smoking continued and doors were being slammed and extremely loud talking in hallway up until midnight. We called Elliot after hours and she told us that an office Manager will call us on Friday morning. We decided Friday to go back to the Elliot office again and spoke with Jamie again, who you can see sincerely felt bad. She addressed it to her manager Dawn who told us "that everybody should have a chance" She said we give them three chances so if we would've complained one more time to the front desk because another guest also complained about these people, they would've evicted them. That policy was never told to us. Why would a non smoking on premises/ balcony give someone 3 chances ??? That is a ridiculous policy. Especially to someone who is an asthmatic and myself a cancer survivor. Needless to say we had already packed to leave before going to the office bc we couldn't take it any longer. Come to find out bc they were checking out that morning. Her only offer to us was that we could go back bc they were leaving. Our vacation was cut short by 2 days , lost tickets to a show at Legends and all we received from the manager was a sorry. I would definitely be skeptical if you go through Elliott they don't care if you have health issues or if you were put out for any reason. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before booking. I rented 808 Beach Cove from Elliot. Never again. I found a dog toe nail on the couch, half eaten pixie sticks in my bed, and dirty floors. I tried to call when I first arrived, no answer. Went over there and told them - I was told "its in the fine print" by a lady that had a big smirk on her face. They could care less. I decided to clean it myself after looking at the cancellation policy. While there I ran into an older gentleman that explained to me the ups and downs of being an owner of a condo there because he had owned his since 2008. Very informative. Long story short - unit was filthy and nobody at Elliot cared. I hope they use the money they made off of me to buy cleaning supplies. read more

We rented a 3 bedroom condo for SOS spring week. The condo was filthy! They came in and placed the white paper across the toilets as if they had been cleaned. They were disgusting!! I called Elliot and they said for us to leave and they would send someone to clean it. We went dancing for hours that afternoon and when we returned, there was a sponge and cleaning cloth in the trash with the trash lid open but nothing had been touched! Crumbs on the floor, sticky drink rings on the kitchen table, every surface was dusty and dirty, ketchup fingerprints on the fridge, none of the toilets had been touched! Thing is, they had come in and cleaned the master toilet, put the white paper thing on it and left. My sister and I cleaned every surface, bathroom and vacuumed floors and were too tired to go out dancing/shagging and stayed in that Friday night!!! I tried to hook up to the internet and guess what....it didn't work. After talking to 5 people who couldn't help me, I went in and reset everything. Voila! On my way out I stopped at their office to tell them how unhappy I was. They didn't charge me for the clean up crew coming in after I left and gave me $100. The next day, Elliot called my friends and told them they were not renting them the beautiful home for 16 people that had been reserved and paid for for a year! After raising hell, Elliot finally put them in a nice place but it was a mile further down the road. SOS is all about staying within walking distance of the clubs so you can walk home. I don't usually give bad reviews but unfortunately with this experience I don't have any choice. We rented Windcrest 202 apartment through Elliott Beach Rentals. We arrived after office hours on Saturday and picked up our key/door code from Elliott lock box. We arrived to the apartment after 8pm and realized immediately that we need to start our vacation by cleaning. Toilets/bathrooms were filthy. There was urine on a toilet seat and hair balls in a bath tub. Refrigerator had not been wiped because it had still sticky food stains on it. King bed mattress cover had bloody stains and we found even dirty socks next to the bed. I decided that I will go the next day in person to the office to complain. I drove to there to find out that it is closed on Sunday's. This was a surprise too since I had received a text message from Elliott mandating me to come into the office the next day to sign my documents. I tried to call them several times on Sunday (phone service is open on Sundays) without any luck. That night we also realized that the dishwasher isn't working either. I drove first thing on Monday morning to Elliott's office to give my feedback. They were sorry and promised to figure out how to compensate the problems. I didn't hear back from Elliott on Monday. Finally on Tuesday afternoon a dishwasher guy came to announce that the dishwasher is broken and needs to a new part or a new dishwasher. We never heard back about the dishwasher after that. I was so tired already about everything so I didn't want to drive back to Elliott anymore. Friday morning I received a call from Elliott asking if we've enjoyed our stay at Windcrest 202? I thought that this must be a joke! We went again through all the issues we've had. Elliott offered that they can waive our cleaning fee which sounded more like another joke! We did the cleaning ourselves and the compensation would be that we don't need to pay for our own work? Next I asked them about the dishwasher? They said that they can compensate $15 per day for the broken dishwasher. In addition they could offer a discount for future Elliott Beach Rental stays! OMG, third joke on one call. I gave up. My advice is that do you research before renting anything. I didn't do mine and found out the hard way that not all rental providers do what they promise. read more

We rented a 3 bedroom house on 4th Avenue in a duplex unit. It was so close to the boardwalk, I couldn't believe we snag this last minute. The unit had 2 kings and a queen bed. It has that beach house feel with large upstairs patio and a jacuzzi on the ground floor. We paid a $300 refundable deposit for our schnauzer. Everything was perfect besides one of the king beds mattress REEKED of urine. Elliot Realty sent someone out to replace the mattress, but when the guy arrived, he just showed up with a mattress topper. A topper will not disguise the smell of urine, no way! We were them informed that king mattresses are over $200 dollars so the owner had to replace it not the company. I can't be mad at the maintenance man that came through. He was pawn in all of this. So now we are down to only 2 beds. Elliot Realty then told us they will reimburse us $100 for the issue, cool. EXCEPT they tried to write it off on our bill as a clean up fee. So it didn't help us out, because we already cleaned up. So we had to call them back, they checked their notes, and then reimbursed us. That Sunday when we checked out, the office was closed so we had to put the key in a lock box, no problem. We didn't expect to get refunded right away, so we waited a week, checked account and only thing that came in was the $100 dollars. Calling the company again, they lady tells us our account had already been credited and that our bank is holding the money & to give it 5-7 business days, it will show up on our account (we are now 2 weeks out from check out date). Those business days go by and NOTHING. We decide to call our bank who informed us the only transaction they received from this company was the $100 reimbursement from the urine mattress. And that they do not hold electronic transactions, only paper. We call them again and a guy claims the paperwork for it was never printed out and he will give it to collections. So now almost a month later they still have not given us back out $300. They get one star because it was a great location for a not bad price. But their overall service will bring your weekend down!! read more

My personal experience has not been pleasant. My family planned a trip and then COVID hit. I understand policy but we were not given a refund because the unit we rented was unable to rent for the same week. Again, I understand normally but this happened during a global pandemic. Just think a little grace should be given under the circumstances. read more

We have used Elliott for years and been very pleased, however the last two years have been a disaster! The one unit we rented for a month needed so many repairs, dishwasher broke with water coming up into the sink whenever it was running as well as on the floor. That's just one of the things that went wrong, aside from the fact the unit was in need of cleaning. Jumping ahead to this year. Have been in this unit, different place, for 3 weeks now and there has been one thing after another go wrong. The one bathroom, the biggest one, the shower doesn't work and it's dirty. Repairman came to look at it and said he would have the parts needed in a couple days, never heard from him. Called Elliott and they said he would be out on a Monday, this was a Friday that we called. Never heard or saw him. The sofa bed was DISGUSTING! Food and stains were on the mattress, the freezer wasn't cleaned as there was, what I would guess, chocolate ice cream that had melted in there, chunks of food on the outside of the cupboards, no fan in the one bathroom, as well as no bathroom mat on the floor so we bought one as the humidity was high from the bathroom being small and no fan. Lights were flickering in the hallway so we changed the lightbulbs, pieces of trim on the floor were coming up, found that out when I tripped on it, so we nailed it down. There were two like that, both came up. The unit is old, not a problem however no excuse for it not being clean. The kitchen faucet has so much "dirt" it's sickening to look at, refuse to clean it. We have one more week here, will not use Elliott again. The office staff is very nice but it seems to us Elliott should be more in tune of when they take on a person's unit to rent in regard to the condition it's in. We stayed in Somers by the Sea in July of 2021. The duplex was the nastiest house we have ever stayed in. The entire downstairs was covered in a brown splatter. It was all over the blinds, walls, ceilings, cabinets. You never go on vacation expecting to have to clean the house when you arrive, but we did just that. Every single surface that we touched was filthy. The house was full of cockroaches. It would take me a year to go over every single detail of this house, but my point is that if you want a stress free vacation, I would suggest not going with Elliott. read more

DEPLORABLE CONDITIONS RUINED MY VACATION. We rented the Sunchaser house. Beyond disappointed with this home, and also this company. Started my vacation walking into the house with it not even being cleaned. There was toothpaste splashes on the mirrors, urine on the walls, body hair still on the toilets, clogged showers, and sand on every single bed spread. You could almost compare it to a college dorm. We spent the first 3 hours of our vacation cleaning, and had the cleaning company back out to the house, where they only cleaned the bathrooms, when they were also asked to clean the stairs that were coated in sand and food. On top of all of these issues, we found cockroaches in the kitchen and the lower bedrooms. We had to be extremely careful with not only our food, but also with our luggage because who wants to bring home cockroaches?! While the cleaning ladies were there we found the first cockroach, and gave it to them to take back to the office. So on top of cleaning for the first 3 hours, we then had to go to the store, and buy cockroach traps and ziplock freezer bags to store our food in. They wanted to exterminate while we were there, but we had infants who were with us. They used this against us when we called, saying it is our problem then since we won't let them exterminate. We called and told Elliot Rental about the problems during our vacation, and were told they would put it on file or "take" notes. After our vacation was over we called and reported our problems for the 3rd time and were told that it is our fault we didn't spend more time on the phone complaining. For all of these problems that we encountered, they only compensated us $180, which in my opinion is a joke. Hope that whoever rents this house out next does not experience these problems. read more

We have a large group from Michigan that make this a yearly event and we plan almost a year in advance. We have rented thru VBRO and other vacation rental agencies in the past including Elliot. We rent about 8 units in average so we plan in advance and spent a lot of time reviewing each unit. Some of the families have small children and do not want carpet in the units (allergies, cleanliness). We have experienced issues when going thru Elliot a few years back and against our better judgement, we went thru them this year. 3 out 5 of the rentals thru Elliot were either cancelled the week before, replaced with a less updated unit going from ocean/pool view to parking lot view. Our ocean front condo fortunately was not cancelled but was not ready for check until almost 8:00 in the evening. We sat in the hallway with all our luggage/belongings arguing with "Joe" from Elliot about the unit being available to check in. "Joe" matter of factly told my husband to go "do something" with your family. You are in a tourist town. The condo was eventually cleaned and we got in just after 8:00. I highly recommend paying extra and renting thru VBRO. The people are far more professional and accommodating then Elliot. From the Elliot personnel at Ocean Forest Villas to every person we contacted calling, we experienced not one compassionate, professional understanding person. Please do not take the risk of losing a whole days vacation by dealing with this company. read more

Well, "not good" doesn't exactly describe our experience. Our stay was 5/22-5/29/2021. We received a text that Ocean Bay Club 305 was ready. Went to the office and was given a key code. After 1 hour in the hallway with our bags, it was determined the battery was bad and we had to wait for a locksmith. The HOA manager, Debbie, was a life saver and allowed us to use a bathroom while we waited--we traveled from 4 states. The place was filthy: dirty floors, toilets, sinks and dirty-stained rugs. We complained at the office next door and at 9 p.m. cleaning arrived! Well we had already cleaned up as best we could--they handed us a roll of trash bags "for your trouble." Due to COVID-19, we expected extra care in cleanliness. What could we do, but pray none of us caught a disease from the conditions and continue our prepaid stay. A simple walk-through before guest arrive surely is in order. Who is checking on the cleaning crew? Obviously, no one. This was truly a sad experience. We will go back to renting through Thomas Realty. read more

Worst experience with renting that we've ever had! We booked prior to 1/31/12 with the promise on their website that we would get 15% of if we did. It even said it in the confirmation email we received! We never received the discount. According to the rental company, many owners do not participate in this discount. Yet we had confirmation that it would be received! BEWARE of fraudulent business practices. False advertising. I have reported to the Better Business Bureau as I have written documentation stating we would receive discount! Also, went with my family and didn't know it was biker week. We found out most rental companies warn people of this, we never would have gone that time of year! When we wrote expressing our distaste, one of us did not get a response, and the other of us got a horrible, condescending response from a Nicole. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! read more

Like many other who have commented here DO NOT use Elliott Rentals. We arrived on a Wednesday and no one told us the office is closed on wednesdays! No one told us our keys and parking passes were in a lockbox that we did not have the code for! And of course it did no good to call them - the office is closed! Thankfully someone drove up who knew the code and we were able to get them. And like others stated, no toilet paper anywhere! The first thing we notice is a large bag of someone else's dirty linens sitting in our condo. And yes you are required to make up your own beds. The couch was so filthy we covered it with a blanket for the week. And out of 5 TV's in the condo only 2 were working. The main living room TV had the cable pulled right out of the box! We called first thing the next morning to complain, and twice the following day before someone from Elliott showed up to see what was wrong. When did the cable company show up? The evening before we left while we were in the middle of packing our suitcases! This was our first time using Elliott but we will not rent from them again. We will use Condo World like we have numerous times before. The Bay Watch building itself was very nice and we loved the location. read more

This place was terrible. Walking into the condo and you just smell filth. Dead cockroaches were bellied up all over. It seemed as though no one cleaned the place ever. There were dead cockroaches under the bed. The dishes in the dishwasher were dirty upon arrival. Centipede looking things were crawling all over my things. This place was absolutely unacceptable. I have never been so disgusted. I was afraid to sleep at night and every morning waking up my chest felt heavy from all the dust and filth. There were rotting crumbs and dirt under all the furniture. This was just the worst experience I have ever had. I could have gotten a condo in the hood for half the price and it would have been cleaner. We are going to leave a two star just for the simple fact that they gave us a different house. We booked a place called lemon tree south with some friends of ours. They went before us and were complaining how dirty the house was when they arrived and how the pictures didn't match , as well as nothing being in the house to cook or clean with. They called and were told that someone will be out to clean up. No one ever showed up. We drove through the night and arrived at 5 AM to pull up to a house that did not match the pictures by any stretch of the imagination. This property was filthy dirty and should never be rented. The outside and inside we're just completely unacceptable for anyone to live in or rent. We never went to sleep that night because when we went inside the bathrooms were filthy, floors were filthy there was mold all over the windows and water damage in multiple other places as well as on the ceilings. How are we supposed to stay in place with five children and one pregnant person without thinking we're going to get sick. From the moment that we pulled up my wife and I said to ourselves we are not staying in this house. If they are not going to give us our money back or move us to another place that we are just going to pay to stay somewhere else. That is how bad it was. We were waiting at the door when they opened on Monday morning. Much to the dismay of the employees. We know how it can be when you have someone coming to complain as soon as you walk in the door. Patricia at the counter seemed like we were really bothering her but it turns out that she had a very rough night because she had been under the weather. She did go above and beyond to make sure that she found us another place that would suit our needs. She was able to find us another house in a close by location that also was on the beach. This house was clean and fully stocked with all the necessities you would need for a kitchen or cooking. Unlike the other house. This one was called a pink paradise which is why we will give them two stars instead of just one because that really was a great location which we may consider renting again in the future. When we first went in were complaining about the house and how everything was they were saying they were going to have somebody come look at it. That was not going to work for us especially since we are on vacation why would we want to go back and wait for someone to come look at a house that is trashed and uninhabitable. We told them that the pictures do not match what is on line and that is some serious voice advertising and they said they would let their marketing department now. Pictures would happen that what we saw we definitely would not have even considered booking this location of lemon tree south. We did not realize that this company had such a bad rap on yelp. But reading through some of the other reviews that are here they match up with what we experienced. The fact that they are going to charge you a cleaning fee if you do not clean the house but they don't even send anyone to go check it anyways seems kind of pointless. Then some of the houses that they have had clean don't seem like they are clean very well. If you were going to spend a few thousand dollars or more on renting a house for a week they should have comfortable beds and a clean place with a stocked kitchen or whatever you may need at a minimum! We have used Elliott in the past with great success but never again!! We arrived for a late checkin, which they were completely aware of in advance, and not 1 of the 3 bathrooms had ANY toilet paper, we had to make the beds with dinghy looking sheets, and the condo was filthy. It only had 2 TVs, which was fine, but only one worked. When we went to the rental office the next day to sign the checkin papers, we talked about our issues with the girl working at the desk. She didn't seem too concerned about any of it but would send a repairman for the TV. REALLY?? That was your major concern? Her comment about it being filthy was "it hasn't had its deep cleaning yet this season". WOW - so do they not clean regularly? There were smudges on the mirror, thick dust and dirt EVERYWHERE. There are several issues about the condo itself, beyond the management aspect, but that's a whole separate review. Elliott, you've lost a loyal customer. This was unacceptable and your lack of concern is disturbing. read more

We rented a unit at baywatch resort from Elliott realty. Initial customer service was good. When we got to our unit, it was nearly 11pm, and first thing I realized was that there wasn't a real blanket on the bed. It was one of those fake bedspread things you use just for looks. Take that off and realize I need to make the bed. We rent condo units all the time in our travels and I've never had to do that before. But ok, I pull out the linens and unwrap them, they are all stained. Like someone slept with makeup on and it was all over the pillowcases. And the pillowcases don't even match the sheets. This may seem petty but it's about presentation and first impression. Top it off with the fact that room smells musty like it's been locked up for years. Also, in all the condos on all the states we have visited, every single condo unit has had at least a starter kit of toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Not this one. Imagine my surprise at 11pm that we now need to go to the nearest store for toilet paper. And a blanket, we had to buy a blanket or sleep with no cover. I called the office and left a message for someone to call me but never heard back. Fast forward to the last day of our trip- We have been out all day and we return to our unit before going to the hot tub and find that someone has been in our unit. Sitting on the edge of our bed when we walk in are 2 blankets folded. Since I never did get to speak to someone about my not having a blanket of can not understand why someone would have been in my room. Total violation of privacy imo. If they thought we needed blankets and we didn't answer the door, they should have left us a note that they were at the lobby desk. Not just go in my unit with all my personal belongings. read more

After a week without response, I called and finally reached someone in housekeeping. She said they have taken pictures of the room, and will respond to me ASAP. I will say their sales people are very helpful. Only giving a 2 rating due to lack of customer service. First off I don't believe the place was cleaned. I actually went into the place (digital key) around 5:45 on Saturday and there was a dirty rag on the kitchen counter. We decided to go to dinner and passed the Elliot cleaning van. 5 minutes later we got a text your place is now ready. How is that possible? When I called and questioned if it was cleaned, they said yes it was earlier that day. If so, why couldn't I get in until after 6? Answer I was given, because of the linen service which we did not get? Also, received a call on Monday telling me the place is being viewed on Wednesday at 12:30...it's for sale. I pleaded with them to not show the place as we are not wanting to be inconvenienced. I was basically told too bad we are giving you ample notice. I called Tuesday evening to see if they would consider cancelling the showing and again was told no. In addition to this we had an agent show up banging on the door Monday around 12:30. He wanted to get pictures of the ocean view. He was very nice, so I let him in. Just wondering if he had access to come in if I wasn't here? If you rent here make sure the place is not for sale. They don't care about inconveniencing you. You would think after asking twice they would move the showing to Saturday. read more
