I hate to leave bad reviews but I need to warn people - especially those that may not be as 'car…read moresavvy' as others. So I was involved in an accident that left both my driver's side tires blown out and both rims with extensive damage. I had heard good things about Northside so I had my vehicle taken to Northside in Dewitt (I live in the Syracuse area). The Dewitt location said they were backed up so they were sending my truck to the Greece location. I received a call from one of their reps so he could find out what happened in the accident and hear my concerns regarding other damages my truck may have incurred since we could only see the tires and rims were damaged. We had a quick but good conversation and he asked me if I wanted the new tires in the front or back since you cannot have unevenly worn tires on either side. (Differing treads should be placed opposite one another i.e. one set of same treads in front and other set of treads in rear) You cannot do this side to side as the vehicle will pull, essentially fight itself as the treads try to do their thing. Anyways - having him ask me that was reassuring that he knew what he was doing so I felt less anxious. They said my vehicle would be ready 7/2. I didn't hear anything that day but I figured with the upcoming holiday, they were probably a little behind (no biggie - I had a great rental ;) So I called on 7/7 after not hearing anything and they said my truck was in quality control and they were about to call me later that day to arrange for pick up (back in Dewitt) So I arrived at their Dewitt location and spoke with two nice ladies who explained to me that they had an alignment done on my truck - they 'subcontract' alignments through Monroe Tire and Muffler. But they said they had to replace the upper ball joint so again I felt better knowing they found that - which led me to believe they actually had taken a serious approach to my concern. So I drove off - happy as a clam. Until I did my own test and found that my truck was pulling to the left. And not slightly - I took my hand off the wheel and it immediately started veering into the oncoming lane. So I got home and took a closer look. They installed the new rims and tires on the driver's side and hadn't rotated them so the more-worn tires were in the back and new tires were in the front. I wouldn't have been so angry if the rep hadn't specifically mentioned they were going to do just that! And the quality control inspection? WHAT THE F@$K WERE THEY INSPECTING?!?!? I will say that when I called the rep he did apologize several times and offered to fix it if I brought it in. But that would be more of a waste of my time and jockeying cars and rides etc that I didn't want to deal with. So I fixed it myself in an hour in my garage. This is a concern to me because my original tires are still fairly new (purchased last fall). But what if another customer was in there, down on their luck, whose original tires weren't in the best shape? That could cause an accident and someone could be hurt. I also want to mention that I have a sneaking suspicion that Northside 'subcontracted' the entire project to Monroe, who slapped the tires on there and called it good and Northside was being lazy and didn't follow up. They just made Monroe do all the work for half what the insurance company was paying them. That's pretty low Northside. Your reputation just took a big hit in my book.

Within a few minutes or so Adam took care of the mark problem solved! Adam was so patient and described the most likely cause, etc.. I hooked up my auto tire pump machine and got 4 pounds out of it. I guess the air was blowing out as fast as it was pumping it in. I called Triple AAA and gave them my information. They said my wait time was about an hour and a half. Humm, well I know the towing and wrecking business when I did it years ago. And when you get busy you do get busy. I said fine, no problem. About half hour goes by and in comes Excel. I have worked with them before. The drivers name was Mark. Mark's a 17 year veteran wrecker operator. Truck number 23. :) He did a great job in record time, very polite and professional. If you need a wrecker, call Excel, they do great work.

His attitude was extremely negative. People like this should not be working with the public. He was unpleasant and dismissive when I asked a question. In my experience, this company is the worst ever. If you don't know how to be kind when someone is having a problem on the roadside, which is already nerve-racking as an older adult, you shouldn't be in business. This was the first and last time I'll ever use this very rude and not compassionate company. If I had a -1000 as a review, I would definitely give it to this company. They definitely excel at being rude and not client-oriented. The tolling driver Matthew Spontaneo literally showed up, didn't even address us, didn't say hello, when greeted and wouldn't have a conversation and stated that he didn't have time to talk to anyone. A very unpleasantly individual. I hope no one else has to experience this unpleasant situation with this toll driver or anyone from this company. DO NOT USE THEN!!!

This is one of the few gas stations left that offers full service as well as self serve, which is pretty nice during the winters if you're glove less or just don't want to be cold. I usually head to Costco or Valero for fuel, but Mobil is listed as one of the retailers of Top Tier Detergent Gasoline so that's a decent incentive for my trips here. They have small store items and a microwave for getting snacks and drinks on the go. I admit that I have not tried them out for auto repairs or service, but I have been referred to them in the past. I may give them a shot when I drive my winter beater again. When I asked an employee how much it was to use their air pump to fix a flat, he responded, "it's free; one of the few things left free in this world." You couldn't be more right, man.

Gates Towing was incredibly accommodating. They worked with me to create a flexible plan: I picked up his keys during his break, left them in the car, and called them once everything was set.
