Just got my stereo put in my truck all JL audio as normal for lees the system sounds amazing the quality of work in the install shows with their years of experience and reputation they also convinced me to put an alarm in the truck since I invested so much in to it which makes sense even threw in a couple of things that weren't in the original quote which is much appreciated all and all I'm very happy with how things turned out the system has great bass and good mids and highs they said if I wanted to increase the mids I can always put an amp in for the door speakers but suggested that I give it a week or so to see how I like it so far I'm very impressed thanks for your hard work in making my audio in my truck sound amazing!!! read more

Wow, that the best thing I can say. I came in with a 18 year old boat with a stereo that just "cracked". After much trouble shooting, Tim found it was just the amp. Luis agreed. I did business yrs ago with Lee's Stereo when it was The Place to go to for stereo systems. Lee would greet me & customer service was great & I knew the job would be done right. Now yrs later I need a new stereo unit for my pick-up & planned to go to Lee's. But after reading the bad reviews about lousy customer service & RIP-offs, I'm leery of going there. After buying a new 2020 Toyota Camry from one of Groppetti's dealership. That same day I purchased a $900 Viper remote start system. I was told that the system would be professionally installed. However what I was not told was that our vehicle would be sent to Lee's Stereos for install. So long story short after the install the vehicle's TPWS warning light came on with the warning "malfunction see your dealer immediately". First off I called Lee's and spoke with Luis who was also the person who installed the system. He told me the light was on when I dropped off the vehicle to which I told him it was not. I told Luis it was a brand new vehicle and there was absolutely no warning lights on until after the install. He stuck to his story and that was the end of it. My next step was contacting the dealership and having the vehicle inspected by their technicians. I was then told that the technician found some wire damage to the tire pressure system which could have only been caused by the installer of the remote start! What I find disturbing is the fact that this complaint Lee's Stereos did not assume responsibility for what they caused! Further more Luis went a step further by telling me the light was on the day I dropped off our vehicle which was 100% inaccurate !! No honesty, no integrity bad for business! I will never personally use your business nor refer you to anyone. read more

I took in a JL audio amp to get repaired and ended up throwing away $47 for literally nothing . They said they could repair amps, so I decided to take it to them because they are an authorized JL audio dealer . I was quoted about 3 days repair time if they did it themselves and I left them my phone number . Well apparently they couldn't fix it because they couldn't get the parts they needed to fix it. They did NOT call me so I had to call them and see what the issue was . They said they tried calling me, but they did not. We then agreed to ship the amp out to Florida to JL audio headquarters to see if they can repair the amp for me. I was pretty sure that JL audio would not repair it because they only service amps that are bought through authorized dealers and not on Amazon . I explained this to Lee and he said they should fix it as long as I have a receipt , which I had to look for from 5 years ago. Again I left my phone number TWICE, they said they'd call me when they get a response . They said it'd be about 3-4 weeks for them to get it back. About 5 weeks later , I get no response at all. I was assuming that because of covid-19 , JL headquarters Was closed and I understood that I had to wait a little longer . When I called them , they said they had called me to pick up the amp but I RECEIVED NO PHONE CALL. They did this to me twice , saying that they tried calling me but they did not. To make things worse, they didn't even fix my amp and made me pay for shipping and inspection . So I basically threw away $47 for nothing read more

After 2 min of awkward silence; he told me how much and walked away, another older gentleman came in and he greeted him with smiles and jokes. Literally the worst company I have ever done business with. Went in there prepared to spend money on automated locks and an alarm system for my new Jeep. after 2 days of work I came to pick up my vehicle and spent 400$ on an alarm system. Did not have automated locks and did not have remote start so basically I spent 400$ on a remote that made noice if I pressed a button. I did not give permission for the system to be installed. To which they claimed to have called me and never did!! Luis and Kevin were two of the worst people I have ever met! When asked for them to take it out and give me a refund Kevin (the manager who never shows up for work!) agreed After waiting 2 weeks. I came back and waited a day and when I was ready to get my refund they only wanted to give me 200$. I asked to speak to Kevin and he had locked himself in the bathroom and refused to come speak with me like wtf! that's the worst customer service I have ever heard of. I ended up excepting 250 just to get the hell out of there. Will never go back!!! read more

First off, always be prepared to negotiate the price down with these people. Do research beforehand if possible. I learned the hard way when I paid full price for a GPS navigation system, one of the bigger ticket items they have. When I came back to the store to have it installed, I heard another customer offering the salesman $300 for a $500 stereo unit. After some back and forth and persistence of the customer, he finally got it for the price he wanted. Good for him, but I was stunned thinking how much extra I just paid for not haggling. Lesson learned! The guys who did the installation were very approachable and friendly. The salesmen are just there to tell you to buy extra stuff. And to top it off, the owner yelled at me when I walked my dog past the store (the veterinarian is next door) because he was more worried about his patch of grass than keeping a customer. When my wife wanted to get a system put in her car, we avoided Lee's like the plague. She had a much better experience taking her car elsewhere. read more

This would be your last place you wanna go for your home music system. I bought Pioneer receiver from these guys first of all I am pretty sure they sell me old receiver for the price of new one. It never worked since the time I bought it when I needed the most. The people who installed it had no idea what they are doing. They hired inexperienced people. They charge you $150.00 for home visit nd come don't fix anything. So far worst experience . I decided to go with them because I believe to give business to local people . Best place to purchase stereo equipment/installation from. You might pay a little bit extra than you would at other places, but if you're already spending $1,000 then what's the difference if it's $1,100. They will service your stereo for free, even if the issue is user error and not covered by warranty. Great place.. I've had 2 stereos installed here in 3 years and my father had 4 or 5 whole stereo purchases/installations previous as well. We will always come back here. read more

I have always tried to support local businesses and with so many home audio & video stores going out of business because of the ease of purchasing online I always chose a store first. I just moved to Visalia and was in the need for some new speakers I checked out Lees. First let me say I love my audio and I spend hours upon hours listening to speakers before I decided to buy. I knew exactly what speakers I wanted since I had been out listening for the past year. I went to get a quote on the very pair of speakers and realized that they had to be ordered but I was fine with that the sells man just wanted to upsale me (which this upsaled speaker was not as good) something they had instock. In fact I never even got the quote. It was a lot of back and forth back and forth. Finally I left. Im sorry guys but I guess I will just order them direct from the manufacture myself. read more

The worst place to get service done ,my bumper got destroyed and I had to help pay for it to get repaired, they have no knowledge of tuning a audio control dsp or to wire it up right for that matter, common sense is to research the product before installing it into a customer vehicle-youtube- that would of worked wonders buy no ,they plug in two inputs ,level speaker and rca input but no out coming out of dsp, and 1month and half it took .plus they made me a box wit no carpet just in front WTF, I'm not even done yet the acr3 remote they said it didnt work- DUH- U THINK U GOTTA PROGRAM IT FIRST,that's what kinda workers they have they did no research of the dsp.so now I'm taking it to another shop to have the dsp hooked up right and to go over what they did to my set up believe me if they damaged my stuff I'm gonna sue Lee's stereo , I had over $3k worth of equipment the were in charge of to install if its damage at all I'm gonna sue there incompetent ass's.. read more

Lee's did a great job on a custom installation for my truck. They have done work for me many times and over the years. There products are good quality products and at a fair price. I've compared them to online stereo products and there price is always close when compared to shipping costs for a online purchase. One thing is that they are always there to help after the sale, you can't hardly get anyone to talk to you after a online purchase. Everyone is always friendly and wants to help. If there busy I've had to what for a while. I also like that they are locally owned and that the owner Lee is there and takes pride in his store. read more
