One of these was going to be the first line of this yelp. They couldn't all be first. But they are all true. Re: hands (and feet) looking good. Um yes, its a simple color on both. But it is to the edge on each finger and toe nail. Not smudged; not even one teenanchy lil bit because (surprise) they did my _manicure primero_ without me having to ask. Yessssss! Re: Manicurist M, yes, she let me have the water as hot as I wanted it. Let me soak as long as I wanted to. And took special care not to excise the skin tag off my heel. Nice! Re: kitchen tools. Um yeah, they use a giant extra sharp cheese grater (think ped egg) and a mixer with this "garage workshop" pumice stone sander attachment to eradicate all the dead skin. The workers who do 'fill-ins' or 'gels' have your buffet type "sneeze guard" plexiglass between the sanding of the finger and their face/nose. I guess that minimizes the inhalation of all those nail filings. Re: workers doing a great job. Yes, Manicurist M. nipped my cuticles like a surgeon. She was precise! Exact! Thorough! She even got to this under nail hang nail thing I have on one finger. Usually, I drive myself nearly insane trying to nibble it off with my teeth. Thanks M for nipping it off for me! Also they do the "twirl each toe (or finger) around, then pull it" action during the hand/foot massage. I love that. [Side Re: hole-wall. Yes, it is your run-of-the-mill, Asian owned, slightly scungy nail shop. Do not come here expecting soothin lavender-scented eye patches and thick white, terrycloth robes to lounge in while you wait for your appointment. No. This place gives you the mani-pedi: get-in, get-out. Why only four stars? A little Cuban man came into the shop during the last 10 minutes of my service and starts talking Very LOUDLY IN SPANISH about black people in general, and me specifically. He thought I didn't understand him. Hmmm. I sure understood enough to know he was talking about ME. Plus Manicurist M. and the next manicurist [1] tried unsuccessfully to shush him; and [2] would-not, could-not even LOOK at me when the talking was done; she could not even take my payment. Dam. Oh well, I'm above that fray. I got my 2 sessions under the nail dryer, pulled out the toe separator, left a decent tip, and blazed out. That was pretty much it. I'd go back... I'm "pleased" with Lee's. Not blown away. Just pleased. I went during my lunch hour again today... I mean... I really want to love them because, for the most part, my pedicure was done well... But I guess I'm held up by the fact that: My technician couldn't properly communicate with me (A little misunderstanding about the lotion. Don't ask, don't tell.)... The place is cash only (Had to stop by an ATM on the way there)... There is NO parking (Had to illegally park at the Walgreens across the street - said a prayer of thanks for my car still being there when I went back to it)... The polish selection is pretty cheap (Can I get one bottle of OPI in the place???)... Why did I go back? The bottom of my feet were very well taken care of. They're nice and smooooth now. Gotta show some appreciation for that! 3 stars for a good job that comes with a lot of inconvenience. :-/ read more

My best friend and I went here to get our nails done.. amazing!!!! I was very hesitant because it's not a well-known spot and it's surprisingly cheap. I had coffin with regular polish for only $25!!! At my usual place it would cost about $35-$40. Definitely coming here again!! Very fast as well. There was loud conversation from some Hispanic workers but it didn't bother. read more

I got So upset It's cash only which they have an atm that charges you a fee of $3.00 . They have terrible customer service, nobody knows anything. I saw roaches in the bathroom!!! I wanted to sceam! Yuck!!! It smells extremely bad. They add water to their nail polishes, I caught one of them. Stay away from here, there is plenty of nail places around the area. read more

Let me start with the parking. THE WORST!!! Be prepared to spend at least 10 minutes looking for a place to park. Next be prepared to wait a very long time to get your nails done all while listening to loud Hispanic women (workers included) having loud obnoxious conversations about nothing. The old man in the front will butcher your nails so don't go to him. He left me with cuts everywhere and a horrible paint job. Never again. They put water in the nail polish. And you can forget about find opi here. There is a old racist Hispanic man that always seems to be there talking about black people which I find offensive and rude. The owner Jenny seems to not care that he's always there disrespecting people. VERY UNETHICAL. They don't clean their tools so you can imagine all the bacteria, etc on them. The negative reviews here were placed some time ago. I was going to an individual at Westland mall in Hialeah for about 4 1/2 years. I came across this place after I started to become dissatisfied with my prior nail ladies work. Arletty is thebomb.com. She leaves my nails absolutely impeccable. I did my french nails approximately a week ago and they're still going strong, no chips whatsoever. She takes off all my cuticle with such delicacy, has not once nicked me incorrectly nor made me bleed. She shapes the nails to your preference and paints them perfectly. No bubbles, No mistakes, No tiny lint on nail, just flawless definition. I found my new nail lady from heaven lol. My 2-3x a month visits will surely be at this location. read more

I scrolled and read some of the reviews on this place only to get insulted. I would like to start off my review by saying that I have been doing my nails here since I was 15 and I am now 32. The staff is very sweet and friendly. I read something about parking ... LOL please don't make me laugh. HELLO wake up and smell the flowers, you live in Miami. What place in Miami doesn't have an issue with parking these days?!?!?! Next, as far as the wait inside. Connect your brain before you begin to ramble. Think about it, if the place is sooo terrible like you say why would there be a wait?? It would be empty don't you think?? Believe me the wait is there for a reason ... Umm why?? Cause they are awesome and don't rip you off. Besides if you didn't want to have to wait, why didn't you call in AHEAD of time and make an appointment?? As for a comment that I read about Jenny, she is extremely professional, skilled, sweet and keeps all of her appointments under control, unlike some places you go (even doctor's offices) and they make you wait. Also the comment about the Hispanic women that work there ... lol sounds like you're the racist one. They are all very sweet and extremely skilled. By the way, I don't know if you noticed but the area where Lee's nails is located is in a very HISPANIC neighborhood so in order to make the community feel at home they have both English and Spanish speaking staff. Even Jenny enjoys speaking Spanish in order to keep a conversation going with her clients and make them feel at ease. In short, all I have to say is that if you are afraid of going to this place because of the reviews that you have read below, give them a try and see for yourself that this is a great place. Every place is always going to have people that prefer to go into a place and get seated right away without an appointment and walk out with chunks instead of nails before having to wait or make an appointment. If they are so unhappy with the parking, staff, and wait, why don't they just go to a spa at the Four Seasons or something where the valet parking alone will cost them as much as a full set at Lee's ... and wow let's not even go into details about the pricing in there, not to mention how their nails are going to look. I've seen so many people unhappy with their nails and complain about how much they spent or where they had them done, then I send them over to Lee's and they remain forever customers, hoping that Lee's Nails never closes down. Asian girls are now gone, replaced with only Spanish speaking Cuban immigrants. The nails suck. They leave you waiting for a long time. The male Asian does not know how to put on gel. The Cuban girls do not file your nails, at least not with the machine. I came here to get my nails done for my wedding and regret it. The woman did not even know how to put on bling on the nail as design. Keep away, save your money. They have no work ethic here. Bring back the Asian girls! read more
