Delicious and fresh donuts!! There was a short line around 2pm but it moved very fast. Donuts were so soft and fluffy. The maple flavor was the real deal. The smell of maple stayed on my fingers after enjoying this treat. Definitely recommend!
I stopped by Lee's Donuts on Granville Island and tried the honey donut. They're located in the Public Market by a secondary entrance door. Tried one of the honey flavored donuts. Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination but that thang was damn good. Soft, fresh, and sweet. It hit exactly like a treat should after walking around the area. Customer service was nice, quick, and straightforward. I just grabbed one since I had already eaten lunch, but honestly I wanted more. I had to stop myself. If you're in the area, treat yo self!!!! Unless you're feeding an army cause really, $35 CAD for a dozen donuts is crazy.
During my vacation in Vancouver, Lee's Donuts was on my list of must try spots. I had a tour that stopped at Granville Island Market, so I was happy to find out there was a Lee's Donuts there. As much as I wanted to try several flavors, I had to tell myself to order just one because there were other desserts at the market I wanted to try. I decided to go with the Honey Dip donut. It looks like a regular glazed donut, but there was something special about it. It was really, really good. The donut was incredibly soft, and the dough had a dense, chewy texture that I really enjoyed. It reminded me of a Krispy Kreme Original Glazed donut, but bigger and less sweet. It was such a great treat, and I'm glad I finally got to try it.
The donuts where very good! I would totally come back. They accidentally gave us the wrong donut and kindly gave us two more of the correct one when we let them know. Long lines but moves fast. Located in the market so no tables or counter to dine at.
100% lived up to the hype! We're from Texas visiting Vancouver so of course I researched the heck out of every neighborhood and resto and treat spot, etc. Lee's was always on every list and TBH I usually can pass on a donut but man oh man these are not regular donuts and now I completely get why this place is a must-stop!!! We tried the "most popular" honey dipped and don't let the honey name fool you (I don't love honey so was skeptical but my husband thought we needed to try the most popular) - it was like an upgraded, superior glazed donut. Fabulous flavor, dense but delicious- so so good! We also tried the strawberry lemonade and OMG best donut ever?! Like in my life?! Truly I've never had a better donut experience than this. Also - all the staff was SO friendly and sweet and the line moved quickly. For real, keep Lee's on your list!!!
They have a good selection of donuts available. We visited on a Monday morning around 11am and there was a short line with maybe 3 people ahead of us. I got a honey dipped and a matcha donut. The honey dipped was good but it was a pretty standard glazed donut. I liked how light and fluffy the donut tasted. The matcha donut was a cake donut rolled in matcha powder. It tasted nothing like matcha though so I would probably skip this one. Overall, nice little treat but nothing amazing.
My wife and I stopped by for an after lunch snack. The honey dipped donuts are incredible. Really nice folks working here. If you are anywhere near here do yourself a favor and get a DONUT!
While visiting vancouver for the first time, we knew we gad to visit the donut shop that is all over Tiktok. Definitely worth the hype! We ordered the Bavarian cream filled donut, honey dip donut, coconut donut, cheesecake donut. The Bavarian cream donut was nothing special but the honey dip, coconut and cheesecake donut was so delicious. All donuts are soft, pillowy, airy and perfect amount of sweetness.i was surprised the cheesecake donut was a cake donut but so delicious! Service was quick but not too friendly.
I'm a simple gal. All I am ever looking for is a perfect glazed donut. Well. We did it folks. Lee's famous honey dip donut was the yeasted donut of my dreams. It was light and airy yet still had an incredible chew to it. The glaze was the perfect thickness and perfect sweetness. I could've housed a dozen of these bad boys on my own. I also tried two of the cake donuts: the glazed cake and the peanut. They were fine. The peanut was at least a novelty that I've not had before, but the cake batter itself was a little too dense for my preference. It was $10 for 3 donuts which is definitely on the pricey side, but honestly I would pay that again and again for their yeast donuts.
When thinking of places to try in Vancouver, Lee's Donuts came highly recommended! I'm always on the hunt for the best donuts in each city I travel to, and this one was truly the best! I got to check out one located in the Public Market at Granville Island. The staff were so kind and the abundance of flavours to choose from were great! When it comes to the donuts, it truly is a cake donut. The pillowy softness of these donuts is what I think makes them so special. I got to try the Bavarian Cream, Glazed Cake and Funfetti Donut which were all delicious. I could totally see myself coming back here the next time I come visit Vancouver! 9/10 recommend!
I was lucky enough to stop in here when there was no line - although a long line out the door formed when I exited the line! Good timing for me! I picked out 4 donuts to try, Honey Dipped, matcha, churro, and the flavor of the month - Strawberry. The Strawberry donut was a fail. It had a red icing on top, but nothing about it tasted like strawberry. Matcha and churro donuts were good, but I honestly didn't taste much matcha on the donut or icing. But the honey dip donut stole the show. It wasn't overly sweet, and the texture was different than other yeast donuts I've had. Not like a regular glaze I get at home. My whole family also liked the honey dip the best. Be sure to pick up one of these when you come here!
Good donut option in the vast Granville Public Market area. They have a huge variety of flavors. The price point was a bit on the higher side but to be expected for the area. Line was long but moved quickly.
Great donuts in the market. Famous. Got a honey glazed. Tasted good. Lots of sugar and glaze. The drip coffee is decent. Didn't taste overly different for a house roast.
I finally tried Lee's Donuts for the first time after so many years hearing good thing (and long line up) about it. Got there right on Monday morning when they were just open so no line up for me. The two donuts that I tried had good flavor but they are more like American donuts that have dense (yet soft) texture. I prefer my donut to be fluffy and light so it's not my cup of tea. - Chocolate sprinkle: good chocolately donut. My kid devoured it because who doesn't like chocolate & sprinkles! - Bavarian: good creamy custard but the vanilla taste was weak. The donut was soft and I prefer this over the chocolate. read more
Lee's donuts landed on my itinerary for a must visit while staying in Vancouver for my fiancés birthday. Visited the Granville island location and this was our 1st stop. We ordered a half of a dozen donuts. We could not keep our hands out of the donut box. Donuts and flavors were amazing and delicious. Service here was fast and friendly. I definitely recommend stopping by. I would definitely come here again if in Vancouver! read more

Well... worth the 20 minutes waiting in line? The simple answer, is maybe, but I wouldn't travel purposely there, unless I was already on the island. It's a great donut, by all standards, a solid tasting one. It's made probably like they good donuts were made in the 30s, with fat, flour, yeast, likely milk and other full fat items. Which is HOW THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE MADE. Don't give me that organic, vegan, plant-based jargon, I didn't see any of that (they might have that, I didn't check), but I'm here for the real, unprocessed glazed and sugar covered goodies. So this time, we got a half-dozen, including the Honey-dipped (yeasted), chocolate-chocolate (cakey), and Blueberry Filled. All were good, and tasty. - So if you are on Granville Island, then it's likely a must. - If you are in the long line of cars that entangle the island, around noon, then probably even more worth it, since you just survived the quest to find parking. - If you are not on the island, and not heading that direction... then probably not worth it. Regardless... solid donut. read more
What a change since my last visit. Noticed no lines to get to their front counter, now I know why, absolutely no filled donuts available, how could that be possible!! Guess it takes them more effort to make jelly filled donuts. No smiles from young female service staff, just a take it or leave it attitude. Taking advantage of tourists should not be tolerated. Maybe it was the time of the day as I went on a Thursday at approx 1245, all bakers must have been out to lunch. Cashier didn't look too happy when I choose the no tip option when paying via credit card. Did notice a tray of raspberry filled donuts was available when I walked past their counter around 1330, too late, they lost my business. Complacency will be their downfall, nuff said read more
WHEN: Sat @10:30am Apparently this place is super popular. And with there being a short line, I figure I should hop in and give this place a try. I love the branding and packaging. The staff is quite friendly and make conversation. I thought I try their most popular item: HONEY DIP DONUT - $2.50 CAD It just tastes like a regular glazed donut. I don't taste any honey. I don't get the hype. The conversion rate made me feel better because it was $2 USD for me. If I knew I was sharing I would have gotten the FRITTER which looked amazing. I'm glad I only waited like 10 minutes in line. Too bad they don't sell coffee or milk. They have water bottles for $2 CAD. read more
I'm scratching my head on the hype of these donuts. It was bustling on a Tuesday around noon with a line about 20 deep. It was fast though! Cute little logo boxes available with purchases of 6 or 12. Otherwise, they're placed in a paper baggie. We were trying to not be over gluttonous and got a coconut, mango filled and honey dipped. They were your run of the mill donut, and honestly more on the dense side. The mango filled donut had the skimpiest amount of jelly I've ever seen. Credit card payments only. read more
I really wish I liked this spot but the hype was not a hype but in fact a waste of time. I was just glad when we did wait, the line wasn't very long. I'm not saying Lee's was terrible but coming from L.A, California where doughnuts are famously delicious (Hype is real!). The evolution of doughnuts in LA has changed the game soooo yes, I've had better. But, if this is all you know as dope, then do you, CHEERS! read more

The raspberry filled donut is favorite! The raspberry isn't to sweet and slight tangy flavor. The dough on the donut is very light on the stomach. I also got the honey dip, which is their #1 best seller and the straberry iced ring. The honey dip is a standard donut, you can't go wrong with it. And the straberry iced ring has a different texture of donut and more bready. I enjoyed the flavor of the strawberry glazed more than the donut itself. It is inside Granville market and it can be a very long line, but it goes fairly quickly. We only waited about 10 minutes. read more
I saw a long line for this place the first time we were in town so I skipped it. FOMO got the best of me the second time so I got in line while it was only three people long and grabbed a chocolate glazed donut. Classic donut shop, classic donut! read more
Freshness, value proposition and cheerful staff are what make this place a winner. Out of 6 donuts, 2 were above average rest were gimmicky and meh. Yes they were relatively fresh "presentation-wise" but the "Monster" and "Oreo" were both stale and regrettable. The "most popular" honey glazed is alright. Slightly larger and more expensive than average Tim Horton's. They are a classic donut joint, freshness and value seems to be their hallmark. read more
Went on a Sunday so not sure what other days are like but there was a long wait line outside but it moves pretty quick. Took us maybe 10 minutes to get in and order. They have a large selection but I only tried one donut I overheard in the line several times. The Bavarian Cream donut. It sounded legendary and it did not disappoint. Would've liked a bit more of the filling bu the donut itself was soft and sweet so i don't mind. Also, the donut wasn't just fresh, but it was warm, and that's the best way to have a donut! read more

Twas ok. A few YouTubers mentions this place as a must try. Stopped by and there was a short line that moved quick. We got some chocolate, glazed and lemon. They all tasted like regular donuts, nothing special. Also the lemon donut has lemon filling... not what I expected. read more
I thought they were good but not as good as they're hyped up to be. It just tastes like a fluffier version of a donut from a standard mom and pop donut shop. I am more into fancier donuts but if you like the standard donut shop donut, you will like these. My favorite was definitely the maple donut. The maple frosting is probably the best I've tasted... most likely because it's Canada. The line seems long but goes very fast, staff are friendly and efficient. There's a lot of choices. I accidentally ordered the matcha sugar one instead of the matcha frosting and didn't like it very much. I wouldn't recommend the matcha sugar one. It's worth trying to see what the hype is.... I don't think I would return and would expend my calories elsewhere lol read more

We stopped by here around 9:30am and only had to wait around 5-10 minutes. We had heard the line can be quite long so it was lucky that we happened to come early. We ordered a half dozen donuts with some of the classic flavors like Honey Dip, chocolate frosting and Baverian cream. The Honey Dip just tasted like a regular glazed donut? Didn't really taste the honey at all, but honey is just sugar after all. Honestly their donuts are solid. They've got a wide variety of flavors such as matcha and gingerbread for the holidays. I just wouldn't wait in long lines. I think they hype got my hopes up, but the donuts were just okay. I think I could get a similar quality donut elsewhere, but if you are interested in trying some of their more unique flavors then check it out! read more
Okay, it's worth the hype. I'm not the biggest donut fan, but I loved these donuts. The regular vanilla cake donut is one of the best cake donuts I've ever had. Maybe because it was fresh, but the donut had a nice crispy exterior, and a warm and soft interior. The donut wasn't too sweet either. The raspberry-filled yeast donut had a nice balance of jam and donut. It wasn't overly sweet as well. Service was friendly and the staff will take the time to describe the offerings. Fortunately, I came early the two times I visited, so the lines weren't that long. However, once you get to the mid-day, you'll probably have to wait a bit. read more

Stopped by Lee's Donuts while visiting Granville Public Market. The line was out the door, but it moved quickly. They have a large variety of donuts available, but I ended up getting their classic honey dip, the Dutch chocolate, and a raspberry jelly filled donut. All the donuts were delicious. My favorite was the honey dip, which was extremely soft and basically dissolved in your mouth. The raspberry jelly donut was still warm when I got it, and it was also very good. The Dutch chocolate was a cake donut, so the texture was different. I preferred the other two. Worth the wait if you're visiting the market. read more

This is my second time here. I decided to try it again since the line wasn't crazy out the door like it usually is. I still have the same sentiment this time around. Not sure what the hype is about, it's a basic cake donut. Matcha 3/5 - no matcha flavor at all Orange Cream 3/5 - orangy but definitely super sweet Peanut 3/5 - just plain read more
An instagrammable donut that is equally delicious as photographed. I grabbed a half dozen and slowly ate my way through the box--shares of course. The classic maple is not as sweet as you may be used to making a great balance of sweetness (sometimes I feel like I need to chug a gallon of water to dilute the sugar but it was not the case here!). The cream / jelly filled options are a must try. I've heard the lines are usually quite long but in a Sunday morning, it wasn't too bad--granted I got here when it was only open for a few hours. Standing in line you'll get to peer into the window to see all the donuts being carefully made and crafted by the team. It may be a little chilly standing outside so make sure you've got a jacket. Line didn't go super fast but it also wasn't super slow. Ask for their recommendations! read more

Amazing donut. Got a box of 6 and the texture was so good! Very fluffy and soft. Not too sweet. They have huge variety. Line is not too long. Took me about 10minutes to get my order. Parking can be challenging as it is inside Granville. Fast service. Definitely will come back again! read more
The famous donut shop in Granville Island! This a family owned donut shop that's been around for many years serving up some of the best donuts I've ever had. There's normally a line out the door and way down the property, but I got lucky during my last visit--which was especially odd considering it was a Saturday afternoon. I had the Dutch crunch donut and matcha donuts. Both of which I just inhaled. Donuts were soft and not too sweet. Just the perfect amount of sugar and carb levels to not knock you out after finishing a donut. read more
Love the Graville Island public market so much!!! Lee's Donuts is an iconic donut shop here and there is always a line infront of the shop. They have been serving delicious, handmade, quality, classic donuts from scratch since 1979. On their website, they say the Honey dip is their favorite and Seth Rogan's favourite is Jelly filled. I was there late and because their donuts are hand made fresh in small batches I only get one with sugar and one with matcha sugar. And they are delicious!!!!!!!event the matcha donut is not warm anymore ,their flavor and fragrance are distinctive and well-balanced. they are sweet but not cloying and the donut is so soft!!!!! Just love it!! read more
Tons of hype regarding Lee's Donuts and in my opinion, it definitely lives up to it. When we went, there was a pretty long line, but it was worth it! They carry a number of great flavors, but whatever you do, you need to get at least one honey dip..and I know a lot of other reviews say the same. There isn't really any parking right outside of Lee's, but there are quite a few lots in the area. read more
Long lines, no problem! This place is worth it. You can bypass the lines by ordering online and going inside and picking it up but than you will miss watching them make those donuts and glaze them through the glass window. This part was fun as you see them processing a variety of donuts from scratch. Staff here are amazing. With nut allergies they were able to grab a freshly made donuts with zero cross contamination from the back. It's a very fast paced ordering process so you need to know what you want. Donuts are yum. My favorite was the maple and glazed. The chocolate one was really good as well. They all were good, hard to decided which one was the best. It's all fluffy dough glazed with sweet heaven lol if you are in Granville island, do recommend checking this place out. read more
Our bellies were full and happy after lunch at the public market, and on the way out I saw a long line for Lee's Donuts, and oh my I just had to try it! I could smell the warm maple icing from afar and the line was moving pretty quickly! We only had room for 2 donuts so we got one of their #1 best selling, which was a honey dipped donut, and I got the maple icing. To be honest, the honey dipped was disappointing, it was not as fresh and the dough was not as fluffy as I had imagine! I think Kripsy Kreme is actually better. But, their maple icing old fashion donut was BOMB! I would totally get it again! read more
Delicious melt-in-your-mouth donuts for $2.5 each. I'm not usually a huge fan of cake donuts, but boy these are delicious. There was a big line out the door, but it moved pretty quickly and I had donuts in my hand within 5 minutes. I got the matcha cheesecake donut - delicious wow. I'll definitely be back here when I'm in the area! read more
Solid donuts, with a very fun variety of flavors to choose from - the selection we tried, including Matcha and Reese's peanut butter weren't especially different from anything I've had before; tasty but a tiny bit on the dry side... Maybe we got there at an unlucky time, maybe we just didn't try the best of what they had to offer, but all in all they were still good, and it's a real cute spot. Not much in the way of seating or parking specifically for the donut shop but it's a section of a much larger market so no real reason to fault them for that, there's plenty of tables and benches nearby. Definitely worth a try if you're already visiting Granville Island - if I went again, I'd go out of my way to try the Honeydip #1 and the Bavarian Cream as recommended by other reviewers here :) read more

Came by this tiny, bright donut shop for a morning snack. Quick service. The popular Honey Dip and Dutch Crumb just tasted okay. Textures and flavors did not stand out. read more
Lee's Donut in Granville Island. If you are in the market building you will see the store but the lineup (and there always is one apparently) starts at the side of the building. I got my donut 30 minutes before closing so there were only a couple of people ahead of me. I was alone and travelling so I only got 1 donut - coconut (just under 3 bucks). Lots of hype about this place (hence the line-up). Verdict? Texture reminded me of cake...fluffy...not too dense...it was okay...not sure it's worth the line-up. read more
Lee's Donuts is a Granville Island institution and line ups are known to snake out the door. Thankfully we came on a quiet day and there was only two parties before us so we didn't have to wait in the cold. There was plenty to choose from but we limited ourselves to two. We got one Bavarian Filled and one Buttercrunch. Both are different in texture and flavor, but I liked that neither were too cloyingly sweet. Filled donuts tend to be overly sweet in the filling, but their Bavarian was well balanced against the dough of the donut. Best enjoyed with a hot tea! read more
