I do like certain Chinese American dishes and I have no problem with take out, though there are several sit down restaurants I like as well. This little place does have a small amount of seating , but it is primarily a take out spot, one of 4 or 5 I go to on a rather regular basis- including China House, Mr Lu's, East China, and China Kitchen, maybe another 1 or 2 as a drive by! On this visit I tried a favorite, Shrimp Chop Suey, and this was a very good version, a nice amount of fresh tasting shrimp and a nice amount of crunchy veggies. I've been here twice for take out, and both times I was very pleased with the results. I'll let others worry about labeling food, deciding on what they term authenticity is - I eat the food I like, and it covers a broad range. This place is a stop on that range! read more

Ordered chicken teriyaki on sticks - more like chicken jerky! Was terribly dry. The two entrees were far better, thankfully. Order Singapore Mai fun - less flavor than other Chinese restaurants but edible (we like spice and heat). Our regular Chinese place is closed on Mondays, so, we gave the takeout a try at Lee's. Chicken fried rice- no onions, egg drop soup, crab Rangoon . Got home, and there is onions in the rice, the soup was tasteless and had way too much thickening in it. Pretty decent Chinese takeout. Didn't think it was anything exceptional, but nothing terrible to say either. I will say I feel like the food here was not as salty as most Chinese food places. The chicken and broccoli was really light on flavor and I would have liked more, but the texture of the chicken was really good. My husband got the general Tso's which I liked better than my chicken and broccoli. Heads up it's an up charge to get pork fried rice in a combo meal- not a deal breaker, just saying! We got our combos with egg rolls which we really liked, but also liked the fact that you can choose you side. You can either get an egg roll, dumplings, or soup whereas most other places you don't have a choice. We got a small side of boneless spare ribs and while the texture was good, again I would have liked more flavor and was actually really surprised by the presentation. Do not waste your money. We ordered $50 worth of food and had 80% of it left over. The tangerine beef and sesame chicken was over breaded with no flavor, the dumplings were flavorless and dry, and the fried rice was again... flavorless so I'm sure you see a trend. Small Chinese restaurant located in the strip mall in Tanglewood (technically Clemmons). It's the strip mall with Harris Teeter that is right across the street from Tanglewood park (158). Easy access from I40. Just take the Tanglewood exit off I40, between Bermuda Run and Clemmons. Quick Summary - No wait service, You go to the front and order - Pretty decent Chinese food. - It's fast, reasonably priced and decent quality. - Small dining area. They appear to cater to pickup and delivery orders. - The side sauces (hot mustard, etc) are the prepackaged crap. If you are in the Bermuda Run / Clemmons area and need to satisfy your Chinese fix then I got to recommend this place. read more

I have lived in the area for 22 years, and Lee's will always be my go-to spot for Chinese food. Polite, friendly staff, delicious food, and convenient location-- it's hard to beat! When I order takeout the food is ready by the time I arrive with plenty of soy sauce and fortune cookies for my family, and the order has ALWAYS been correct! Never once have I gotten home with the wrong food in all my years of ordering from here. The fried rice is especially great, and the lo mein is unbeatable. read more

Ordered 2 meals last night; 1 combination plate, and my order was only 2 appetizers and it came to $30!!!! We both ordered House special fried rice which was a $3 up charge each!!! I had 1 a shrimp in my rice!!! What a rip off!!! I ordered the spare ribs but couldn't enjoy as they were undercooked. I ate 1 of the 4 and it was like jerky, so tough, and just terrible!!! Will put the reminders in the oven to cook further. What a huge disappointment. The only thing that was decent was the egg rolls. Two things the South struggles with are bagels and Chinese food. Bagels are another story, but Lee's is good Chinese food that can hold its own against a big city Chinese joint. While certainly not perfect, It's definitely one of the better places, if not the best, in the Advance/Clemmons/Lewisville area. Prices are good and the portions are as well. It's conveniently located across from Tanglewood in the Harris Teeter plaza. I recommend the General Tso's Chicken for some good Chinese eats. read more

The food is delivered to your house in record time. My favorite there is the General Tso Chicken. You get a huge amount of chicken and the sauce is great. I also love their steamed dumplings. They are the perfect way to start your meal. While the restaurant decor isn't all that great, you have to remember that it's mainly a take out place. Lee's is okay if you want quick chinese takeout but it's not the best option around. I went there for the first time this week and ordered the general tsos chicken to go. It was just OK. General tsos usually has a little spice and it wasn't there and the flavor wasn't anything to write home about.. Not mad I tried it but will probably order from somewhere else next time read more

BEWARE FOOD POISONING!! I got egg drop soup and my husband got wonton soup. My soup was delicious. However, they gave my husband bad soup. He said the wontons tasted weird and stopped eating it after one wonton. I don't know if it was old or not prepared but properly, but he got really bad food poisoning and spent the entire night vomiting. read more

Lee's is our local choice. We have been enjoying a meal from here ever couple weeks for years. Mrs. Lee always is quick and courteous. Our favorites have to be General Tso's chicken, the lo mein and their steamed dumplings. And always get a side of brown sauce to put over any left over rice. I have lived about 2 miles from this restaurant for 16 years. Every so often I forget how bad they are and give them another chance. Today we ordered takeout for delivery and the food was disgusting. I just don't understand, there is so much potential in this area because there are many transplants from big cities who value good Chinese food. They are in an affluent neighborhood where people will pay higher prices if it means good quality meats and fresh food. The pu pu platter was disgraceful, the shrimp toast was extremely salty, the ribs smelled and tasted like a wet dog (?), and there was hardly any filling in the oily crab rangoon. The sesame chicken wasn't crispy and the sauce overly sweet and watery, and the pork lo mein was overcooked and had too much sauce. I've never written a poor review for them because they are a local business and I feel bad, but I feel robbed. I ate the food about an hour ago and already starting to feel sick.
