I had a horrible experience with Lee's Carpets. I scheduled a cleaning for our office, area rug, and couch. I was told someone would come out Monday to give an estimate, but later that day, the owner Lee called and quoted me $279 over the phone. I agreed to that price. When the crew arrived, one of the workers complained that cleaning the couch would be difficult with the handheld tools they brought, saying the person who scheduled it "doesn't go out into the field and doesn't know anything." They went ahead anyway, but once they left, we moved the couch and found spiderwebs, a dead spider, and chip crumbs underneath -- clearly not cleaned. To make matters worse, they charged me $140 more than the original quote. When I called to ask about it, Lee was extremely rude, denied I mentioned the rug or couch, called me a liar, and said I "needed better communication skills." I wasn't rude -- I just wanted to further understand the charges and see if there was anything my that could be done. After using Stanley Steemer several times in the past, I tried Lee's for the first time this year. I was able to get an appointment within a few days of my call. Two men came to complete the job, which they did quickly yet thoroughly. They worked diligently at a few spots in my dining room that the previous company half-heartedly tried and failed to remove, and the Lee's crew got them out! Although I was pleased with the outcome of the cleaning completed on the carpeting on the second floor and stairs, I was a bit disappointed in the response from the owner to my concern. The technician cleaned a wool area rug in my foyer, without asking! My wood floors on the first floor had just been re-finished and the lack of consideration in the tech asking if I wanted the foyer rug cleaned caused me a much larger expense than I had anticipated. The water/chemicals leaked through the area rug and non slip pad underneath. When speaking with the technician, he was arrogant in saying that "we do it all the time and it will dry" - Well, it did not dry without causing damage. I had to spend $150 taking the rippled area rug to my dry cleaners to have it steamed and stretched. I also had to have the wood floor underneath re-polished and waxed (refinished) for $200. I was not asking for any compensation when discussing my concern with the owner and he was quite dismissive blaming others and me for not being grateful for a "complimentary" cleaning. After checking my ring security cameras, I was able to quash what, apparently, the technician's story/excuse was that the owner was being told. I will not use this company again. These guys are unbelievable. We used them before we moved into this house because the cat Snell was unbearable. I didn't believe it could be fixed and was planning new flooring throughout. A friend at work said to call these guys and if I wasn't satisfied he'd pay the bill. Needless to say they more than met our expectations. Very friendly, prompt and professional. Bought my house 4 years ago and have never really gotten my kitchen floor - light cream colored ceramic tile - really clean. Despite my best efforts, it always looked dirty; especially in those "high traffic" areas. But I didn't know who to call since the tile is quite expensive and I knew if someone wrecked it I couldn't afford to replace it. I was referred to Lee's Carpeting Cleaning by a friend of a general contractor I recently hired to rehab a bathroom. It turned out to be a wonderful referral. I sent a message to Lee's Carpeting Cleaning through their website and got an email response within a couple of hours telling me someone would call me the next day. The next day Paul called and we discussed my kitchen floor - type of tile, approximate number of square feet (I wasn't totally sure), how the cleaning is done, etc. - and he gave me an estimate. He also explained that the estimate might change when he got to my house and saw the size of the kitchen. He assured me he would give me a definite price before the work was done. I was offered an appointment a few days away but, because of my work schedule, chose an appointment a week after my call. After talking to Paul, I decided that as long as the kitchen tile was being cleaned, I would have the tile in two of my bathrooms cleaned also. So I called the company to see if they could add those rooms to my "order" or if I needed to rescheduled because of the extra time involved. I was told it was no problem to just add the bathrooms to the job, that I would be given a price before the work was done, and I could decide at that point exactly what floors I wanted cleaned. My appointment was scheduled for 9 a.m. Paul and his helper (sorry I can't recall his name) arrived on time. We discussed the scope of the work, the cost, how long it would take, and the cleaning process. I also asked going forward what the best way to clean my floors would be, since they obviously weren't as clean as they could be. In the end, the tile floors in my kitchen, two bathrooms, and a small foyer between my backdoor and kitchen were cleaned. The area rugs in the foyer were also cleaned. It didn't take much time, the price was extremely reasonable, and I'm so very happy with the work that was done. In fact, it exceeded my expectations. I only wish I would have found this company a few years ago. I plan to have them come clean my tile floors every couple of years because they did a much better job than I do. I can't say enough good things about the service I received, the quality of the work, and the guys who did the work. I highly recommend this company. read more

We are very disappointed with the "job" that we hired them to complete. They were supposed to clean our carpeting throughout our home. They left fur on the carpet and didn't get all the stains out. I called the boss while they were still at my home and was told these were the best workers and at least my carpeting was sanitized. I talked to the workers and was told they put spot remover and couldn't get all the stains out. I complained about the fur, they couldn't do that either. This is totally unacceptable. All the boss could tell me was at least my carpets were sanitized when I told him before making the appointment what needed to be done. None of what we hired them for was done-absolutely inexcusable- I hope nobody else hires them and has to deal with the incompetency of this business- I rated them 1 star but they real don't deserve that- read more

The service guys couldn't make the meeting on time - which was during my lunch break -and when I called to let him know that I'll leave the door open but have to go back to office, the response was "I don't have time for this. I have plenty of other work". I almost laughed thinking that I've never known somebody more clueless about running a business. News Flash - I pay you... I'm the customer. Not the other way round. I found Lee's Carpet Cleaning at Google as they don't have many reviews, I checked their Facebook page, and I could see some before and after pictures. I left a voice mail, and they called me back in the same day. The guy was very helpful and kind. Today, I had my carpet cleaned. My carpet was really bad. It is very clean now, and I am very happy. The guys are nice and quick. I think because it is winter, and the heater is on all the time, the carpet is dry after 6 hours which it is pretty nice. I highly recommend! read more

Just had terrible experience. I've used Lee's for years with absolutely no issues. Last good experience was in Oct 2020. Had 5 bedrooms, 3 area rugs and landing cleaned for $359. Called last week for just the 3 area rugs and landing (not 5 bedrooms). I booked the time slot. Guy said he'd call me back with quote. Never called. Showed up for the appt with a quote of $289. Only $70 cheaper without cleaning 5 bedrooms?!? I called and the guy but he was too busy to talk and discuss the pricing. The price is the price. Normally super nice but not today. Unfortunately done with Lee's. The cleaning tech is great but didn't have authority to make pricing decisions. read more

They have helped me numerous times. Most recently they came because of our dog having accidents and bleeding. They were able to clean up the stains and waived my emergency fee (I think they saw my stress from a terminally ill dog). Lee, Pat, and Paul were all a pleasure to deal with during the process of having my job site cleaned up. While working with another contractor on an apartment remodel, the entry way and staircase leading to the unit got dirty from many boots, saw dust, dirt, even some paint, etc. I called Lee to see how soon he would be able to get someone out as I had a property management association breathing down my neck to get this area cleaned up asap. Lee was friendly and easy to work with the whole time. I called on the weekend and he was able to get someone out to my job site by Monday for what I thought would be an estimate, but they actually had the area cleaned within about an hour of arriving there! I dealt with Pat to get details about the job and then getting in there as I couldn't be there myself, he was also friendly and easy to deal with. We have used Lee's Carpets twice now. They are professional, courteous and do an outstanding job, Lee headed the crew that came out today to clean our family room couches. They were very attentive to detail and did a great job. Our chenile covered couches had some tough stains which we have attempted to get cleaned in the past BUT nobody had any success until Lee' and his team came around. In a time when most service is slam/bam, out the door Lee and the guys are a throw back to the time when service professionals took pride in their work. I wouldn't consider calling anyone else out for any work that they can do when we need it. I find it hard to believe anyone would be disappointed using Lee's Carpet Cleaning. read more

We have been using Lee's Carpet Cleaning for about 7 years, starting with our home in Arlington Heights. When we moved, we had last minute date shuffling that Lee's was able to accommodate without questions. Most recently, our dogs trashed the family room carpet after multiple accidents. I called Lee's on a Sunday, knowing that they're closed, but wanting to have visibility on Monday morning. To my surprise, I received a call back on Sunday saying that they would try to get us in. Lee's came to our home early Monday afternoon. They were short-staffed and had a full schedule, so the owner and another gentleman came over to get the job done. I cannot say enough great things about the service that this company provides. They always do a fantastic job on the carpets, they are courteous and accommodating. I had a question about the process used, as the carpet still needs attention. Unfortunately, I was not given an invoice after the service was performed. Here are the facts. We've used Lee's Carpet Cleaning several times. The pricing has steadily gone up some 10-20% each time. The first year cost was $375 for approx. 2200 sq. ft. of carpet. The estimate for this year (08/5/2021) was $529 for only the first floor and second floor excluding the basement carpet, approx. 1500 sq. ft. Yes, the agreed amount was $529, but I was not part of the decision, so I called the owner to lodge a complaint and let him know we had to have the carpets cleaned before a big family reunion next week or we would might have cancelled. I wanted him to know of my displeasure with the cost for less than an hour's work and advise him if he wanted us as a return customer, he needed to re-think his future pricing. His sarcastic answer was he has 17 other customers and he didn't need us a customer anymore. The cleaners that completed the service were polite, respectful, and efficient. Opinion: The "I don't need you" comment is an indicator of what to expect from his customer care. There may be other carpet cleaning services around with the same pricing, but I highly doubt they treat customers in the same manner. I'm sure the pandemic has been rough on a lot of small businesses, but I don't think price gouging is a way of inducing people to use the services. The crew showed up on time and were very polite and educational about the carpet cleaning process. Paul and Carlos were absolutely fantastic! My carpets came out cleaner than i had hoped for and especially as an allergy sufferer, I felt like I could finally breathe! I was not happy with the service from Lee's Carpet Cleaning. It was $195 for a quick in and out service, very mediocre. I made several attempts to have them come back to rectify a few spots, stairs, and a portion of the top of the stairs. To no avail, they calls were argumentative (at least 6 calls) leaving me to believe they would come back. The day I had an appointment to rectify, I waited, called, and Lee himself said the guys said the stairs were "beautiful". He had "no knowledge of who I talked to" and was condescending. They had no intention of coming back out even though I had an appointment. I went to the credit card company to try to dispute since I needed to repeat the service as every spot came back through within weeks. Lee got to keep his money, I paid someone else to fix it. I was talked down to, argued with, stood up, dismissed, and pretty much called a liar. I'm embarrassed for this company as the carpet store recommended them and they did a great job the first time I used them. The "boys" who did the job did NOT want to be here that day and snowed their boss. What happened to taking care f the client. I was not asking for anything I didn't already pay for. read more
