Located conveniently within MSP Airport, this fast-casual eatery impresses right away with its clean, open-concept design. The layout is smart and streamlined--ideal for travelers in a hurry but still a hot meal. The serving stations are spotless and inviting, see my pic, with well-lit displays and staff that keep the line moving efficiently. The bar deserves a nod of its own--well-stocked and open, it invites travelers to relax with a quick pre-flight drink. As for the food, everything is easy to access for quick selections. I tried the egg roll, which looked crisp in the case, though once bitten into, the wrapper had lost a bit of its crunch. That said, the filling was fresh, tasty, and generously portioned, with a satisfying stuffing-to-wrapping ratio. The Orange Chicken delivered on flavor with a bright, sweet citrus sauce and juicy chicken. However, the breading was on the heavier side. A second chicken dish - possibly a soy-glazed variety - was equally moist and had a bold, rich sauce that layered well with rice.

I travel a lot and this time when I stopped in MSP I was hungry! I have walked by this joint several times and today the smells captivated me. I picked the choose three combo and got Mongolian chicken, Peking chicken, and Bourbon chicken. All were hot and freshly made: Nothing special, thus the four star, but cheap by airport standards! Service is friendly and quick.

I should have read the reviews before we got food from this joint. We have been eating southern comfort and American food for the last 2 weeks. My daughter and I needed some Asian food in our lives. We ran into this and decided to grab a quick meal. The food options were looking scarce. You can tell the food had been sitting for a while. Some of the sauces were dried up in the dishes from sitting in the warming plate for so long. It was truly slim pickings but there were a couple options that looked decent. I asked the cashier if they would be making more food. It was a little after 9 and they close at 10. "No" she said. "The kitchen is closed". I got noodles with the orange chicken and Thai chicken curry. My daughter got the noodles with tofu, orange chicken and some green beans. I asked if the green beans count as a portion. There was barely any in the first place. That's why I asked her if they were making more. I'm happy she didn't consider it as a portion, I would have made her put it back. My daughter literally got 6 green beans and 1 of the 6 was actually a long stem. Needless to say, the food was not worth the money I paid. The noodles were flavorless and so oily. The orange chicken was definitely cooked earlier and had sat for a long time. It had gummy texture from the sauce sitting on the breading for too long. The Thai curry chicken did have good heat to it but the chicken was dry and not rich in curry. Just know there are so many food options in this airport before you make the same mistake and commit to this place. Don't do it. You're going to eat it, regret it and then have shoppers guilt for spending your hard earned money on this food. Go save yourself some money and eat at Chick Fil A.

The photo looks good but it was the WORST FOOD EVER. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I didn't have high expectations coming into this already seeing as how it's airport food, but holy cow it is the only time I've thrown out food because it's not worth the pain to keep trying to stomach it. Everything tasted off, from the rice to the meat to the sauce. I don't even know how to explain it - everything tasted weird like it was stale? Cooked in a pan with burnt residue? Reused some old oil? All of the above? I didn't think it was possible to mess up fried rice but here we are... 100% do NOT RECOMMEND.

Last month, I was at Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport (MSP), waiting to catch my flight home to Toronto. When I got to the airport, my flight was automatically 1.5 hours late. Nothing new. It's Air Canada. This mid-afternoon flight rarely gets cancelled, so I knew that I was good. I did need to grab a late lunch. Where should I go? After I cleared security, I made a right. I normally don't do that. It was time to explore a bit. I saw this Leeann Chin. It's across from the tram that takes you to most C gates. The Chinese restaurant chain has been around for eons. I had never stepped foot in one. It was time. This eatery has a bar. No one was drinking at around 3 pm. It felt like going to a food court to grab some fast food. I had a helpful man as I tried to figure out what protein I wanted. I did know that I wanted a protein with two sides. I got fried rice, bourbon chicken, and garlic soy green beans. I had an iced drink from Caribou Coffee with me, so I didn't need to get a beverage here. I paid with a credit card at the counter. The transaction was smooth. I got my food in a plastic container with a lid and plastic cutlery. I proceeded to find a spot facing the tram station, sit down, and enjoy my food. I like that there are outlets. I charged my phone as I ate. My food cost $12. It was pretty decent for the price. The fried rice was yummy. The bourbon chicken was flavourful and moist. The garlic soy green beans were the star. They were excellent. If I could order a huge bowl of them alone, I'd be in heaven. They were done perfectly. I loved the garlic and soy combination. I'm drooling as I recount how yummy these green beans were. As someone who is sensitive to salty food, I was fine with the sodium in this food. Other reviews have said that the food is overly salty. I did not down a ton of beverages after my meal. I spoke to a male staffer as I went to throw my empty container. He said to throw all my stuff into the garbage, even though there were different places to dispose of your recyclable items. He said that it didn't matter, which was funny and odd. He was friendly. I wished him a great day and went to explore the terminal some more. I'm glad that I checked this place out. It's good westernized Chinese food if you want fast food at a decent price. I'd return for more, especially when I have time to kill before my flight and I'm hungry. (363)

A plate with 3 entries: garlic soy green beans, sesame chicken, firecracker shrimps

I was going to Panda Express but saw this restaurant was closer and similar so I gave it a try. Even with prepared lower expectations for airport food, this restaurant still managed to disappoint us. We ordered a plate with 3 entries: garlic soy string beans, sesame chicken, firecracker shrimps. The rice here is less than the amount that Panda Express gives you. Flavor-wise: -String beans were very salty. If they make it less salty, maybe it'll be more eatable -Sesame chicken and shrimps were decent. The place ambiance and seating is pretty good. Seems to be clean and spacious. Not sure if the bar is still open because no employees were standing in the bar area. Service was definitely not good. They're not rude but not friendly. After my order, they ran out of rice AND noodles. All people behind me had to wait for at least 10 minutes to get their food. For me, I had to wait ~10 before I could pay because they had some issues. If I had more time, I'd walk a little more to eat at Panda Express.

2 Item Combo. Noodles with Mongolian Chicken and Bourbon Chicken.

I was excited to find Leeann Chin during a long layover at the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport. It is located just outside Concourse D. This place has its own private seating area. Leeann Chin is very similar to Panda Express but with 3- 4 variations of orange chicken. I ordered noodles with Mongolian Chicken and Bourbon Chicken. The 1 side + 2 entree combo cost about $10. Service was fast with minimal waiting. The chicken entrees taste as expected. The noodles were flavorful. My daughter's order of steam vegetables were raw. If you're hungry for Chinese mall food, then Leeann Chin will fulfill your craving.

Asian food in the airport. I had low expectations but it was worse than I expected. We got the you pick three and selected fried rice, firecracker shrimp 4/5, sesame chicken 3/4 and garlic soy green beans 1/5. Everything was overly salty. The firecracker shrimp was the best option I tried. They ran out of both noodles and fried rice and there was long line because no one could order until they made more. That took about 5 minutes for the noodles and 20 minutes for the rice. Service was not great. I think they were overwhelmed because there was a line and the food was not ready but they were not friendly at all. The manager had to come out a one point to help the cashier and he was rude to the employee, I felt bad for the cashier. They have a bar but no one staffing it so even if you wanted a drink you couldn't order one. They have a decent amount of seats and the tables were surprisingly clean because no employee were available to clean them. They were likely only clean because customers cleaned up after themselves. Overall I was not happy with the experience and would not come back.

Great price. Food is not bad, not great. 2 meat plate is $10 and 3 meat plate is $12.60.

This is definitely one of the better fast food style places to eat in Terminal One, for a number of reasons: 1) The staff: While there are definitely some fast food outlets in the airport who's workers are fairly ambivilant to the service they are providing, the staff here does a great job making sure everything is just right. The manager, who must work 80 hours per week (he's always there!) is especially friendly and bends over backwards to make sure every guest gets exactly the meal they want. 2) The food: this is a fairly standard Leeann Chin when it comes to the offerings, but for those of you who aren't local, this is basically a Panda Express with a lot more choices. Yes, you can get Orange Chicken here, but you can also get Thai Curry and Korean Gochujang Beef, two items you can't find at that other Asian fusion places. And, also unlike Panda, they usually have every one of their dishes in stock. Finally, they have a lot of dairy-free options, and pretty much all of the dairy free dishes that don't include meat are also vegan. 3) The atmosphere: fairly chill, with a side bar where you can grab beer and mixed drinks, and TVs that are always showing sports. 4) The prices: great for the amount of food you get, especially for an airport...I rarely spend more than $11 for a huge plate of food. 5) The location: very central, right next to the tram station and the south security checkpoint, and steps from the main food court and Terminal D. All in all, this is a great choice for fast food at MSP, especially if you are craving Asian.

A really bad place to eat

Horrible service!!! You can tell that no one of the employees want to work at this place. It is not worth it , just get your food somewhere else. I saw a employee lecturing a customer over the order, the cashier throwing the plate to a customer over the counter, and one of the employees that was serving the food playing with his hair on top of the food. You could see the tantrum slowly falling over the food!!! I could not keep eating after that!!! Definitive stay away from this place as far as you can. I shout have look at Yelp before going to this place, mistake that I will not make again!!

Fried rice, thai chicken curry, chicken bourbon, and tofu.

The interior is sterile, but at the same time a bit messy. It isn't the most welcoming space and could use an upgrade for individuals to dine in. Counter service was friendly and our food arrived decently quick. This spot falls into a similar family as Dave's Hot Chicken, with sandwiches and tenders available in a variety of spice levels. I had the tenders, with BBQ and Mild sauce. They were super yummy and juicy and came with a great dipping sauce. I also appreciated the seasoning on the fries and the pickles served with the tenders. Overall, the food outshown the ambiance of the space. I'd recommend take out if you're in the mood for some yummy chicken in the area.

The chicken here is outstanding. It's so nice to have that real chicken meat texture that tears apart instead of something more ground up with filler in it. It's juicy and tastes high quality plus the spices coated on the outside elevate things nicely. I heard the food can be pretty spicy here so I played it safe with the "Mini Coop" spice-level, which suited me well. Just the right amount to feel flavorful but the spice doesn't last once I take a bite or swig of something else. My sister can't handle spice at all so she opted for the "MN Nice" which she actually said was still kind of spicy for her. So take that as you will if you're not a fan of spice! Their special sauce is good and might remind me of Raising Cane's, though I haven't eaten there recently. The French fries and coleslaw kind of felt standard, to be honest. But I really liked the Texas Toast! Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the pint of ice cream. My wife picked up the order and didn't realize she should have looked for it in the bag. When I called the restaurant about the missing pint, they were incredibly apologetic and offered to make up for it with a pint and more next time I'd come in, but since we don't live nearby, I said just refunding the pint was fine. But knowing how much they care about customer service really did leave a good impression! I'd definitely love to eat from here again.

A great way to try out some Korean cuisine!…read more We were seated quickly and the waitress gave us enough time to look over the menu. We really enjoyed the Mandu dumplings, that are crispy and have a flavorful inside. The Korean fried chicken was also a hit. We got the bone in and enjoyed the K barbecue sauce style. But I actually liked the tofu soup and army stew. These soups were not very spicy, but had the spice of the Korean chili flake nicely infused to a flavorful broth. I'm a big fan of glass noodles so the army stew had some nice salty notes with the spam and hotdog. My friend liked the tofu soup and it came with three Bach Chan side dishes. Would be nice for them to have a bean sprout side but the vinegar dikon radish was good! The space was inviting but maybe too bright for me with the lighting. Overall would recommend!
