However that quickly changed when I went into the store looking for something simple, batteries, and overheard a conversation between a middle aged woman and a couple of the employees, where the lady was clearly complaining and bad mouthing other employees. I later found out that woman is not just their boss, but the Owner of the business. To talk about your employees in that fashion is completely unprofessional and unethical. I won't repeat the exact words I heard, but they weren't pleasant. Every time I go into this store the staff is always helpful and polite so it was a complete shock to hear. I refuse to do business with someone who treats their employees like this. As a long time customer service professional, 40+ years, it was less than. Treat your employees with a little more respect and basic human kindness, it does wonders for morale.

We have four hardware/home improvement stores in town and today I visited two looking for this little part. The first had all the staff sitting and looking apathetic. I was barely acknowledged, asked where bulbs were and I was greeted with a response that reminded me of when my kids were teenagers and they huffed and rolled their eyes. Then when I returned empty handed and asked if it could be ordered , I got that x. After listening to the conversation with the boss I knew what was to come, started to get but thought it just isn't worth it. I wonder if customer service is . I know life is very tough now. Prices are high, wages are low and we are greeted daily with more designed to divided us and keep us agitated. Having to work under these conditions tests the best of us, we should remember it doesn't take any more effort to be kind and we are the ambassadors for our businesses. How would you want your employees to be if you were the owner or manager?

We recently gathered a few supplies and made our way to the register. Some of the items were in pre-packaged bags. Some of them were tiny parts collected from bins, with price's and amounts written on bags. We could see they provided small brown paper bags, along with short pre-sharpened pencils. We spent time looking for what we needed then carefully wrote the amount of money that each item cost, and the number of items for said amount. The total amount of tiny collected items added up to roughly $1.75. At the checkout register, we were informed that the store requires the customer go back and write down separate SKU numbers for each tiny item in the bags, in addition to what we already wrote on the bag the price and the amount. We did not have time to walk all the way back go through the bins again to get the SKU numbers so we offered to pay over the price and give 2 . The store held tight on their policy and would not take the two dollars. Rossi's answer was "NO" The Rossi employee rejected our offer in front of everybody else in line. We kindly asked if it would be possible to have a customer service representative gather the SKU numbers for us while we scanned and purchased the remaining items that had SKU numbers already. Rossi's answer was "NO" We continued with the transaction excluding the items that we had collected from the bins. At the end of the sale, i opened my wallet and pulled out a $5. dollar bill cash for the $1.75. worth of items in the bags. Then asked a Rossi employee if it would be acceptable to pay a huge overage and get the items we needed without having to go all the way back and dig up all the SKU numbers on the separate little items .................. Rossi's answer was "NO" Respectfully, citizens of Albion, FortBragg, Mendocino, and beyond

I asked for help figuring which one was the proper match and two of the staff came to my aid, which was wonderful. The part was perfect and priced right. I highly recommend this spot for all your needs.

They just have a very poor regard for loyal and long term customers. I will no longer pledge my business to this company. On the other hand, Rossi's in town is very welcoming to their customers and the people bending over backwards to earn your business. I'm not a huge customer and I'm sure changing my loyalty will have little to no effect on their bottom line, but if you have an option go to one of the other reputable, customer service oriented hardware store.

I came looking for large dry goods, storage containers for pasta/legumes, but ended up doing a grocery shop while here. You can find pretty much anything you may need. As with the Gualala Supermarket and Surf Market, prices tend to be higher because of the remote location. Definitely recommend if you are looking for frozen items - as their selection is broader/cheaper than what you see in Gualala! Open daily from 8am-7pm, great place to get staples or odds and ends for the home.

The clerk rather rudely put the cable in front of and pointed to the A part of the cable. Got back home and learned I should have asked for an A and micro cable rather than the C end. I went back to the store and the "manager" came out and refused to take it back due store policy of not taking electronics back. The this was in the span of 30 minutes. I had the receipt and packaging undamaged. What a horrible store along with rude staff! The clerk actually started laughing at me. I am 69 years old and am not used having such little respect. Went to ACE nearby great friendly and helpful staff and well stocked store. Definitely recommend ACE v True Value/ Radio Shack.

Nothing much to say about this location other than that it is a convenient stop for emergency…read morebatteries etc. After a long drive to Fort Bragg, we realized that my Prius key fob was low on battery; obviously, that would be a big issue if I could not turn on my car engine due to no battery. Thankfully this Radioshack has the exact battery model I was looking for and saved us in a pinch. I would recommend visiting this Radioshack for battery or emergency items during your travels. Pricing is also reasonable but in general, I feel tourist towns like Fort Bragg have everything slightly marked up so expect to pay a bit more for your battery here than elsewhere.

Every employee here was a pleasure to speak with; helplful, friendly and funny! Great pricing and did I say an incredible offering of products. Their wood/pellet burning stoves are awesome! I picked up several bags of very affordably priced wood pellets. Oh, they educated me on the differences as well. Just an excellent experience. Whenever I need anything for the house in Willits, they will be my "go to".

I recognized one of the workers, she helped us with a couple extra set of car keys in the past. Her name is Desiree she told us about the Astro program. It sounded really good, we qualified. The program is simple to sign up for and it rewards those who have rescued a dog from a shelter. We did our shopping and then returned a day or two later.... As we were walking in Desiree spotted us, stopped what she was doing, and came over to help us out. If you haven't seen the pet section at Mendo Mill/ace hardware you need to... it's really sweet.... We found out that Desiree is in charge of that area.... There are so many cute/sweet touches. Desiree just has the kindest way about her.... She took a sincere interest in us and our dog, just like the previous visit . she had great recommendations, answered all our questions. Desiree let our dog try a couple flavors of the treats that came with the backpack/food as part of the Astro problem. There are pics of customers animals, there are pics of pets who recommend their favorite toys, treats, etc. it really touched me after the passing of our bulldog, we bought her a bunch of the kong toys over the 2 years we had her.... Everyone at Mendo Mill has always been great to my wife and I.... Desiree was our rockstar the last 2-3 times we went there, and my wife and I will seek her out - you should too.. Our dog sought out Desiree when my wife went to get a couple more things for our new little guy

Amazing customer service…read more Gualala Building Supply is my new go-to whenever I have a home-repair question. I've called and visited in-person a number of times to ask about supplies and what time of year to undertake various projects. As a new homeowner, I am realizing that home ownership entails constant upkeep projects! Most recently, I needed firebricks to line my wood burning stove. When they did not have enough in store, Gualala Building Supply promptly ordered more and called me directly when they arrived. I appreciate their employees making themselves available for recommendations, as well as their follow through on orders!
