As a local I appreciate being able to afford something off the rack as a lot of clothing stores around here are geared towards millionaire tourists. When there is a dress in the window that has a tag of $300+, it pushes it out of reach for most locals, Ripple isn't like that. Also a great cross generational style offered. Both my daughter and I found multiple things we both loved here.

It isn't thin or the cheap stuff that will get ruined in a matter of time. It's soft and really comfortable to the touch. So many choices of hooded sweaters, T-shirts, cool socks, scarves, wrist warmers, beanies and other Knick knacks. You name it they got it in here and at decent prices. New stock apparently comes in on the frequent and when that happens you'll find the old going on sale and that's asking for my pocketbook to go empty. I definitely had to hold myself back. Friendly staff nearby ready to help if there was any to be had and simply just to hold some conversation. Definitely recommend to stop by and pick something up in case you forget a warm covering along with a souvenir.

They have a huge selection of finger puppets, small to large stuffed animals. They have puppets with those clingy arms. The awwwwww factor is high. A nice selection of clothes that I like--cotton drawstring pants, SOCKS, hand knit hats (my head is too big :{ sadly) Life is Good tee-shirts and other girly/shabby stuff. There is a limited selection of stuff for men. Cool pirate maps, small bottle of pirate "gold" too. EARRINGS--nice selection--I can't believe I actually didn't buy a pair. They also have decorative stuff that I liked but I would never buy since they are so fragile---"Stained" glass pictures on stands--I loved the one with the b/w cat. They also have soaps and lotions, jams, etc. They have a lot of stuff in a small space. It is neat and tidy. A must-see for shopaholics, Husbands and sons will not appreciate it!

It was actually my favorite shop this time around with some amazing stained glass (I purchased a beautiful piece as a souvenir) and other fun items. I don't recall exactly what wasn't my style last time I visited, but Tangents is actually a cool little shop. They're located across from Harvest Market in Mendocino with plenty of street parking. The staff was very welcoming and helped check on prices of items that needed a ladder. They do charge a 3.5% fee on credit card purchases, so bring cash if you're planning on a bigger purchase. Still, the stained glass piece I bought was very well priced for its size and considering it was locally made.
