We entered on the east side, purchased an extension cord and exited on the west side. Perfect... thank you!

Needed an auto charger for my iPhone. The Radio Shack section of the store had exactly what I needed, and it was reasonably priced.

This review was originally going to be a positive one, to praise a couple of the employees, namely…read moreAndrew in Radio Shack for going above and beyond helping me multiple times, and the gun guy in the back for being possibly the most knowledgeable, albeit depressed looking person I've ever spoken to about firearms. However that quickly changed when I went into the store looking for something simple, batteries, and overheard a conversation between a middle aged woman and a couple of the employees, where the lady was clearly complaining and bad mouthing other employees. I later found out that woman is not just their boss, but the Owner of the business. To talk about your employees in that fashion is completely unprofessional and unethical. I won't repeat the exact words I heard, but they weren't pleasant. Every time I go into this store the staff is always helpful and polite so it was a complete shock to hear. I refuse to do business with someone who treats their employees like this. As a long time customer service professional, 40+ years, it was less than. Treat your employees with a little more respect and basic human kindness, it does wonders for morale.

Living in a small town should provide us a chance to get better service as we are always bound to…read morerun into each other AND word of mouth spreads fast. I am not going to name and names AND I would have pondered speaking to the manager if I didn't overhear his conversation with the employee. We have four hardware/home improvement stores in town and today I visited two looking for this little part. The first had all the staff sitting and looking apathetic. I was barely acknowledged, asked where bulbs were and I was greeted with a response that reminded me of when my kids were teenagers and they huffed and rolled their eyes. Then when I returned empty handed and asked if it could be ordered , I got that x. After listening to the conversation with the boss I knew what was to come, started to get but thought it just isn't worth it. I wonder if customer service is . I know life is very tough now. Prices are high, wages are low and we are greeted daily with more designed to divided us and keep us agitated. Having to work under these conditions tests the best of us, we should remember it doesn't take any more effort to be kind and we are the ambassadors for our businesses. How would you want your employees to be if you were the owner or manager?

Easily our best home improvement store on the coast at least in my humble opinion. Clean store that…read moreflows well and you can find everything easily. Great staff that is wicked knowledgeable and eager to help. Prices are best In town too and the selection is .

This facility does have a fair bit of quality product, however and unfortunately, the reason we…read moregive two stars is because this "HARDWARE STORE" has totally lost track of what a hardware store is all about. We recently gathered a few supplies and made our way to the register. Some of the items were in pre-packaged bags. Some of them were tiny parts collected from bins, with price's and amounts written on bags. We could see they provided small brown paper bags, along with short pre-sharpened pencils. We spent time looking for what we needed then carefully wrote the amount of money that each item cost, and the number of items for said amount. The total amount of tiny collected items added up to roughly $1.75. At the checkout register, we were informed that the store requires the customer go back and write down separate SKU numbers for each tiny item in the bags, in addition to what we already wrote on the bag the price and the amount. We did not have time to walk all the way back go through the bins again to get the SKU numbers so we offered to pay over the price and give 2 . The store held tight on their policy and would not take the two dollars. Rossi's answer was "NO" The Rossi employee rejected our offer in front of everybody else in line. We kindly asked if it would be possible to have a customer service representative gather the SKU numbers for us while we scanned and purchased the remaining items that had SKU numbers already. Rossi's answer was "NO" We continued with the transaction excluding the items that we had collected from the bins. At the end of the sale, i opened my wallet and pulled out a $5. dollar bill cash for the $1.75. worth of items in the bags. Then asked a Rossi employee if it would be acceptable to pay a huge overage and get the items we needed without having to go all the way back and dig up all the SKU numbers on the separate little items .................. Rossi's answer was "NO" Respectfully, citizens of Albion, FortBragg, Mendocino, and beyond

Just ordered a new blade for a vintage Stanley hand plane from Hock Tools, and felt compelled to…read morewrite a review because of the excellent service. The item was shipped next morning, and arrived priority mail within just a few days, nicely packaged and seems to be a really high quality blade. We were recommended this company by a master craftsman furniture maker in Chicago who specializes in hand tools and 18th century woodworking, and highly recommend using Hock Tools for your woodworking blade needs.

As I understand it, he started working with James Krenov when Krenov was at the College of the Redwoods - Ron making blades for him and his students. I've only purchased a few of his blades but I will certainly continue to buy more, as I can afford them and as I need them. They are so much better than others I own. They hold a great edge and are wonderfully thick, preventing chatter. I've made Krenov-type planes around his wooden body plane blades and love them. I can't wait to get one of his spokeshave blades as well. And all the rest, to be honest. I've got a crappy block plane that I want a Hock blade for but the blade would cost more than the plane by far. It's not that the blades are that expensive, it's that I bought that horrible a block plane. I'll wait and make another woodie instead. I've recently purchased some good steel and made a couple blades myself. While they turned out better than the stock blades I own they really aren't nearly as good as the Hock Tool blades. I also didn't save any money by the time I add up all the tools and heat treating stuff I needed. It was fun, but not a great saving. Ron Hock has also written a great book on sharpening tools of all sorts. In my few calls there I've spoken to both a lady working there and Ron Hock himself and both were helpful and friendly.
