I recognized one of the workers, she helped us with a couple extra set of car keys in the past. Her name is Desiree she told us about the Astro program. It sounded really good, we qualified. The program is simple to sign up for and it rewards those who have rescued a dog from a shelter. We did our shopping and then returned a day or two later.... As we were walking in Desiree spotted us, stopped what she was doing, and came over to help us out. If you haven't seen the pet section at Mendo Mill/ace hardware you need to... it's really sweet.... We found out that Desiree is in charge of that area.... There are so many cute/sweet touches. Desiree just has the kindest way about her.... She took a sincere interest in us and our dog, just like the previous visit . she had great recommendations, answered all our questions. Desiree let our dog try a couple flavors of the treats that came with the backpack/food as part of the Astro problem. There are pics of customers animals, there are pics of pets who recommend their favorite toys, treats, etc. it really touched me after the passing of our bulldog, we bought her a bunch of the kong toys over the 2 years we had her....
