Simply Succulents isn't just a succulent business. It's a succulent lover's dream, complete with seemingly endless rows of every succulent imaginable. I'm not a gardener, plant enthusiast or green thumb, yet I could more than appreciate the love and care they've put into cultivating such a magnificent collection. When you first see the odd green building off the main road, you might think "Is this all it's cracked up to be?" Well, drive behind that building for a succulent wonderland, everything from tiny little potted gardens to giant cactus exist between their gates. There was a gentleman and a lady there who both took a lot of time to explain the layout and listen to what we were looking for. We ended up walking away with three small succulents at a reasonable price which will go in our back garden. All very beautiful! A very important note: CASH ONLY! We only found this out when checking out. Fortunately, we had enough cash on hand!

    Our treasure.

Not cheap, but this place is so much fun. The people who staff it are experts in succulents. They know their stuff. And the selection is rich. We walked away with a treasure!

Great selection and knowledgeable staff but SO OVERPRICED. 3" pots are $6.50! Maybe this is normal up here, but dang. You can get a 4" pot in the bay area for $6. Bigger and cheaper. I only bought one small plant there because it was one I don't normally see other places, but I would avoid this place if you don't want to overpay, or if you're just desperate.

Lots of pretty succulents here, priced from $4 up. They also have a good selection of ceramic pots, potting soil, cacti, plus some other plants. It's all in the back of the property. Friendly staff. Check the hours before you go, I think they are only open on weekends.

Rella is so knowledgeable, she and her staff are very friendly and helpful! If you're looking for something specific they can help you locate it on the property or if you're just hoping to walk around and spark inspiration- there is something for you. From outdoor full sun to indoor and even a "pokey" section, you'll find something you love. They also have unique planters available as well. CASH OR CHECK ONLY and no dogs allowed in the nursery.

My small succulents & cacti purchase.

OMG This is my Heaven and Addiction! I love collecting Cacti & Succulents. This place has some beauties that you cannot find just any where and that just makes them the #1 place I will go to add to my collection of pots & pallet gardens. (They do not currently take credit cards so it was the only thing that held me back here). My husband had to warn them that giggling, omg's, emotional out bursts, might happen and not to worry because I was that excited to discover the Gem this place is. I am a life customer now! The time from Cloverdale to here is a drive to be excited about and friend are welcome to come along with me or call me up and say lets go.

Wow what a great place. The best selection of succulents I've ever seen. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgable . They are cash and check only so bring cash.

So many more than what you see in these photos.

I love a good independent nursery And stop at any one I can. this one was an utter disappointment…read moreand when I got home I was sorry I had bought anything there. they do have some interesting plants, but they also have LOTS of plants that should have been thrown out a long time ago. Or at least been pruned heavily and repotted about a year ago.there are also many many pots that don't have any labels and many had labels shoved into pots that they clearly weren't to. there Is no signage to inform on pricing for various pot sizes and no pricing on the labels that are actually in pots. I mean when I go to a nursery I really want to buy plants, and I know a lot about plants so it's fun to look for fun new things I don't have. I felt like my efforts were being frustrated from the get go. Maybe it's because it was a Sunday that there were just two teenagers kicking around outside, but even they weren't asking if any help was needed. I had to go find one Just to find out prices which is really basic. i did find a few things and went inside. I was very impressed by the tool selection which included all the parts for Felco pruners and an extensive organic fertilizer section, interesting seeds, and all kinds of other fun things. I wanted to look at it all! There was one guy in there who kinda seemed like he may work there but he didn't say hello and then finally asked if I wanted to pay for my plants. I told him I wanted to look around at all the cool stuff which he seemed annoyed at. Like just pay and leave already. I complimented the selection to dead silence. I looked around despite that and found a few other things. He watched me like I was going to steal stuff I guess because I was so interested in everything. I told him I was ready to check out. He complained when I wanted to pay with a credit card, didn't want to give me a receipt, and didnt say thank you or anything. What a grump! if anyone came in who actually needed help with something they certainly weren't going to get any. I felt like please take my money and was rewarded with Mr. I hate customers. I will not be returning to this nursery Nor recommend it. I ran a retail business for 35 years and these guys aren't even doing the basics. North Star Nursery in Fort Bragg is way way better as far as customer service, organization, friendliness, and plant selection.

Hare Creek Nursery and Saw Shop ROKK! (I'm an 80's Dude. Trust me, it's the TOP compliment!)…read more The story "grows," so please read on. OH... I will be placing the same review on the Yelp for Hare Creek NURSERY, as it looks like they have their own Yelp. You only need to read one or the other. (Or you can read both if it helps their business!) SO... I brought an old, neglected Poulan 4000 chainsaw to Hare Creek Nursery and Saw Shop in Ft. Bragg today. (We are moving to our place in the area permanently this summer after YEARS of visits and my wife growing up here and so on...) I brought it in for a service and sharpening at around 11:00am, after the saw sat unused for almost 20 years. (My little electric saw has sufficed over the years "down there.") The Woman at the counter was super helpful, and explained how the diagnostic fee worked and would be applied if the saw could be serviced, but she also gently let me know that the age of the saw and the lack of attention over 20 years could be an issue. After she told Suburban-Me why I couldn't fit a larger bar to it. Because I asked. (At least I knew what the bar was...) Said they would call me early next week with the news, as they weren't super busy. (Stoked! Because I actually called them last August, and was told I could drop said saw off but it might be 4-5 weeks before it was done. Which I now understand. And still should have just dropped off.) So maybe an hour and 15 minutes later, as my daughter and I were finishing lunch at Laurel's Deli, (another GREAT place with ROKKEN service), I got a call from Hare Creek Nursery and Saw Shop. (Because cell service!) Saw was done. Had some issues, but they got it sharpened up and running and should be good for a few more years of real work. I was kinda shocked. They HAD me for the sale of a new Husqvarna. But they salvaged my old saw. (Which was my Father's, and before that my Great Uncle's.) When I picked it up, the Senior Manager came out and told me that when I dropped it off, he overheard me say that I had some trees down on my property that were a problem. So he said he "put the shop on it since it was slow anyway." That is legit SERVICE, the way it should be. That is old-school CLASS, the way it USED to be. THAT is how you create a customer for LIFE.
