As far as allergies go... this place is the holy grail. Almost everything is gluten free. They make their own rice paper and their own soy sauce. ... that being said, it breaks my heart saying this... but this was some of the worst Asian food we have ever ordered. We got a variety of items and everything was below or just average. Drunken noodles were inedible. Smells like pure celery powder. The noodle texture was good, but the sauce... awful. Peppered beef sauce was thin and runny, lacked flavor and $25... way overpriced. Red curry was ok. Potstickers were not fried, and just doughy so they were super disappointing. Spring rolls were good, but oddly not very filled. We ended up just throwing away the leftovers, cause no one wanted to eat them. And usually we're fighting over leftovers. I would come back, just cause it's not very often you can find a variety of gluten free foods... maybe it was an off day.... Maybe we ordered wrong items, open to suggestions. read more

The woman working there personally drove the food out to us during a snowstorm since I couldn't leave my street, and the third party delivery site didn't have drivers available. Disclaimer: I had no idea that this place is mostly gluten-free. We ordered food without knowing that information. The service was fine, but the food was pretty strange. Pad Thai had a lot of "gravy" sauce on it, almost like a Chinese dish. I've had a lot of pad Thai at many different places in my life, and this was some of the soupiest Pad Thai I've ever had. It tasted just ok, and I would not order this again. Portion was enormous. Pad See Ew was fine, but not that great. It didn't really taste like Pad See Ew. We came to Lee's Thai and had a wonderful experience! We got the drunken noodles, green curry both with tofu and the veggie curry puff. All the dishes were tasty and I liked the curry puff the best. The sauce with the curry puffs was so good! The restaurant was pretty empty for dine in on a Sunday night, but they got a lot of takeout orders while we were there. Lee's Thai is a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant that should be considered a local Falls Church treasure. The owner is very accommodating to your requests and checked with us to make sure that we were satisfied. Their lunch specials provide good value for the price. I order the #21 Garlic Fresh Ginger with chicken lunch special. It was good and had pungent pieces of ginger in it. They have an extensive list of lunch specials along with their regular menu. Ordered delivery from here and it's a little pricier than some places but it's worth every penny. The Massaman Curry with beef was just right and a large portion with tons of flavor and more carrots and potatoes than most place which gave it a little something extra compared to your run of the mill curry. The fresh veggie rolls are the perfect alternative to egg/spring rolls for those of us who aren't always big fans of fried foods. They're similar to a spring roll but in a non-fried rice paper shell and filled with lots of vegetables. Try them with the garlic tasting dipping sauce and you won't be disappointed. The mango sticky rice was interesting and I'm glad I tried it and enjoyed it but not sure I'd get it regularly. There was a weird glitch about them offering me a $10 off coupon that didn't work so don't expect the coupon to work if you order online. Consistently great takeout food, and has become our household staple. They have earned their popularity!! Have tried many, many Thai food take out places in the DMV, and this is by far our favorite. We love ordering the Thai-level spiciness for our main dishes, like the pad thai and drunken noodles. Perfect amount of spice for us (aka for those who love a decent kick from their food). We came in at ~5:15p and the lady taking our order was so kind and sweet and we enjoyed the warm lights and pictures on the wall. I went to the bathroom which was of a nice size and smelled great. Newly opened in December 2021, this little spot has amazing spring rolls, comforting curry and nice and chewy pad Thai. The panang could've been more flavorful with coconut but it was still rich in the other flavors and lighter in spices. The pad Thai is a bit sweeter than what I'm used to...this one tasted a bit more like sweet and sour instead of the rich peanutty flavor I'm used to. I would ask for light sauce and you can always ask for more on the side, or cut it with lots of lime. The veggie spring rolls were SO crispy and piping hot. Ordered Pad Makur (stir fried eggplant) with pork. No wok hei from proper stir frying. Very little eggplant, very little meat. Corn starchy gravy like a Chinese restaurant. I suspect all their stir fry dishes are much the same. They only got two stars bc the lady waiting on me was super nice. Small Resturant with huge Thai and Loas inspired menu. Some interesting dishes not normally found in most Thai food establishments and extremely tasty. The owners have a great kitchen you can see from their counter and watch food prepped or sit in the dining room. I have tried this place a couple times, early in the weekend mornings, and I can tell the food is not fresh. I can smell the slight hint of sourness in some ingredients (probably the veggies). It is not the acidity from tomatoes or whatnot. The crab fried rice was so smelly from the old crab meat, for example. The flavor was great, though. What a waste for a pricey menu... It's OK. Our appetizers were very good, but our main dishes were just average. They charged 10% tax on our takeout bill, though -- and that's on top of a $1.50 "convenience fee." Virginia sales tax on food in restaurants varies but should never be over 6.3%, so they're clearly overcharging. Why do something illegal? Just raise your prices slightly to compensate for increased costs. I recommend Rabeing and Duangrat for Thai food in this area, instead. We only tried Lee's because those other restaurants close ridiculously early. Lee's food was fine, but the tax overcharge just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. read more

The ambiance was very good for what it was worth! Just like a real Thai-owned store since the owners, I think, are family. The server and the service were fantastic also!! For dinner, we had the chicken satay and pad Thai with drunken noodle. All very good options. The Thai tea is phenomenal! If you don't like overly sweet things, it might be the one for you, though. There weren't that many staff, but it's very understandable considering they have to deal with taking care of family and big online orders. Once again, I love the workers. They were so nice and apologetic of the slightly long waiting time. But it was all very worth it. I went with 3 others and the portions filled us UP!!
