As far as allergies go... this place is the holy grail. Almost everything is gluten free. They make their own rice paper and their own soy sauce. ... that being said, it breaks my heart saying this... but this was some of the worst Asian food we have ever ordered. We got a variety of items and everything was below or just average. Drunken noodles were inedible. Smells like pure celery powder. The noodle texture was good, but the sauce... awful. Peppered beef sauce was thin and runny, lacked flavor and $25... way overpriced. Red curry was ok. Potstickers were not fried, and just doughy so they were super disappointing. Spring rolls were good, but oddly not very filled. We ended up just throwing away the leftovers, cause no one wanted to eat them. And usually we're fighting over leftovers. I would come back, just cause it's not very often you can find a variety of gluten free foods... maybe it was an off day.... Maybe we ordered wrong items, open to suggestions.

Dreamy ambiance w meditation music playing, lots of green plants and classic art on the walls and comfy seating. Lady who greeted / seated / served us was very friendly and helped me order vegan. The Thai mango sticky rice is a delicate and delicious treat, artfully displayed . Next time we stop in I will order a full meal but this afternoon was just in the mood for a light dessert. YEZ: vegan friendly

We came to Lee's Thai and had a wonderful experience! We got the drunken noodles, green curry both with tofu and the veggie curry puff. All the dishes were tasty and I liked the curry puff the best. The sauce with the curry puffs was so good! The restaurant was pretty empty for dine in on a Sunday night, but they got a lot of takeout orders while we were there. The food came out pretty quickly and the service was super nice! Would recommend it if you're in the Falls Church area.

#21 Lunch Special Garlic Fresh Ginger with Chicken

Lee's Thai is a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant that should be considered a local Falls Church treasure. The owner is very accommodating to your requests and checked with us to make sure that we were satisfied. Their lunch specials provide good value for the price. I order the #21 Garlic Fresh Ginger with chicken lunch special. It was good and had pungent pieces of ginger in it. They have an extensive list of lunch specials along with their regular menu. A limited, but adequate selection of beer and wine is available along with desserts. I highly recommend Lee's Thai.

Ordered delivery from here and it's a little pricier than some places but it's worth every penny. The Massaman Curry with beef was just right and a large portion with tons of flavor and more carrots and potatoes than most place which gave it a little something extra compared to your run of the mill curry. The fresh veggie rolls are the perfect alternative to egg/spring rolls for those of us who aren't always big fans of fried foods. They're similar to a spring roll but in a non-fried rice paper shell and filled with lots of vegetables. Try them with the garlic tasting dipping sauce and you won't be disappointed. The mango sticky rice was interesting and I'm glad I tried it and enjoyed it but not sure I'd get it regularly. There was a weird glitch about them offering me a $10 off coupon that didn't work so don't expect the coupon to work if you order online. Overal,l it's worth the price and I'll order delivery from here again for sure.

My husband and I came here after much debate about which Thai restaurant to go to in the area. Ultimately, the variety is what won us over to check this restaurant out. The restaurant is a quaint, no fuss place. The service was great. Our waitress who I believe owned the restaurant made excellent recommendations and thanked us for supporting her small business. My husband and I had the fried tofu appetizer and for our main entree we had the drunken noodle and massaman curry. All food was delicious. The drunken noodle was the perfect amount of spicy and the massaman curry was spot on. We will definitely be back!

First, service is amazing. The server is super friendly and nice. While it doesn't appear to be much on the outside, there's free parking and it's comfortable inside. The food is very good and I love their lunch specials. Wide variety and they fill you up.

Very good food, service and atmosphere. Parking is shared with other businesses so it's availability varies. Clean, modern inside, with booths and table that seats 10 Each booth features an array of spices to add if you desire more than cooked by the kitchen I had the garden veggie salad but asked for the spices and lime juice used normally for the beef salad - it was fantastic I had the spring rolls but I made a mistake ordering them because they were fried and I intended to order the ones where you see thru them but guess different places in the country call those garden rolls The have a very good menu and a lunch special until 4 pm daily that promises to fill you up and give you a good value for $14.99 I highly recommend this establishment

drunken noodle with chicken

I ordered drunken noodle with chicken, portion is too small and there is way too much onion , 4 thin pieces chicken as topping. I am not coming back for $15.99.

Waited for this food for an hour and a half. What came out was disgusting. Wonton soup made me gag. Chicken was sickening.

For entrees, everyone needs to try the coconut curry risotto. The creamy rice seems like there's a gallon of cream. So full of flavor, this was the hands down winner. Drinks are also really good! Food highlights have been the fried chicken, crispy whole fish, eggplant dip. Drinks are unique, my favorite is Garden in the Sky. However, their service and timing could be improved. Between the two visits, issues included: - seated 20 minutes past our reservation. No proactive updates from the host, had to keep going up to ask. - waiting at least 15 minutes just for our server to come by for our drink order and water. At that point we just ordered everything. - drinks (both visits) are extremely slow to come out of the bar. Both visits had to ask the server where they were. We were getting them almost 30 minutes after receiving food And also - there is a booth-style table right at the entrance of the main dining area. They shouldn't seat parties of 6 here - the people not seated in the booth are partially blocking the entrance, and it was extremely uncomfortable. I think the food here definitely lives up to the hype, but if they really want a special restaurant they need to work on some service basics.

Hoang Viet Restaurant can be hard to spot, as it's inside one of the little indoor shopping complexes in the corner of the broader Eden Center complex, right across the street from Happy Lamb Hot Pot. However, if you are lucky enough to find this shop, prepare to be wowed with some of the best and most authentic Hue cooking in the DMV. This no-frills restaurant centers on Central / Northern Vietnam, with a particular focus on Bun Bo Hue, a super flavorful spicy beef and pork noodle soup with a rich, spicy broth and tons of mix-ins. I'm still dreaming about their bun rieu, a beautiful crab and shrimp noodle soup that comes with a generous helping of chewy rice noodles, tender and juicy shrimp, and a deeply flavorful, slightly spicy, and slightly sour and tangy broth made with tomatoes and crab. It comes topped with fresh scallions and green onions, as well as a few fried onions for a bit of crunch. The service is efficient and friendly, and the food comes out incredibly quickly. That was a big mistake because Truong Tien is inside and it is amazing! My son and I started with Banh Beo Nhan Kho Tom Chay, a dish of steamed rice cake topped with fried shallots, dried powdered shrimp (prawn floss) and chicharron which you then can top with a spicy sauce. They come in little tiny dishes that you can kind of slurp the rice cake from like an oyster. The combination of textures and temperatures and flavors was delicious - and not too filling as a starter. We wanted to have a Banh Khoai Nuoc Leo (crispy pancake taco-like dish with a dipping sauce) but they were out for the day (we were there at about 4pm) so instead we had vermicelli bowls (Bun Nem Nuong) with Asian style sausage and fried spring rolls. Topped with peanuts and fish sauce, it was fresh and delicious. The host greets you warmly and offers ice water, hot or iced tea (complimentary) and the restaurant decor is absolutely beautiful. There's also a gorgeous display of food for sale near the register, including fried bananas and donut/beignet sort of treats. I also loved the spicy fermented tofu dipping sauce. All of the dishes can be dipped in any and all of the dipping sauces accompanied by the other dishes. The waitress also brought a small bowl of rice with lemongrass pork for my baby to eat (on the house). The waitress was awesome :) Before tip the total came out to be $52. Our server seemed a bit impatient and abrupt when taking our order (we asked how many spring rolls come in each order, and added beef meatballs to one of our pho orders), but we were mainly there for the food. The space itself is roomy, casual and comfortable, with tables spaced and seated far enough apart to not feel crowded. We started with the pork and taro spring rolls, which came out hot, cut in half, and impressively crispy! (Just as a heads up so you don't get scolded like we did - the pork and taro spring rolls come with two per order, and the price for both is a great deal compared to most pho establishments!) For our mains, we ordered three pho bowls and one dry noodle dish. The pho arrived warm, and adding bean sprouts cooled it down further rather than cooking them through. The dry noodle dish, on the other hand, was excellent in flavor, though also not very hot - likely due to the fresh vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber) mixed in. Overall, a solid, filling meal, even if the service and the temperature of the food could be improved. Why we keep coming back: The Pho Sate is absolutely exceptional - we've tried this dish at countless Vietnamese restaurants over the years, and honestly can't find it done this well anywhere else. After 10+ years, the quality has never wavered. The broth is rich and flavorful with that perfect balance of spice and depth, the beef is always tender, and the fresh lettuce, herbs, and crispy garlic add amazing texture. But the real star? Their legendary roasted chili sauce (see photo) - that golden-orange chili oil is what dreams are made of! Savory, spicy, aromatic, and absolutely addictive. We've been eating this sauce for over a decade and it never gets old. If you love bold, authentic flavors, this alone is worth the visit. Consistently friendly and attentive staff - over all these years, the service has remained excellent. They recognize regulars, are genuinely warm and welcoming, and clearly take pride in their food and customer relationships. Plenty of parking - a practical bonus that makes every visit hassle-free. Why this deserves 5 stars: When you return to the same restaurant for over a decade, it's because they're doing everything right. The consistency in food quality, the authentic flavors, the warm hospitality - all of it has kept us coming back year after year. This isn't just good food; it's a place that's become part of our dining routine. Bottom line: After 10+ years as customers, we can confidently say this is the real deal. The Pho Sate is unmatched, that roasted chili sauce is legendary, and the entire experience is consistently excellent. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out on some of the best Vietnamese food around! Must-try: Pho Sate with the roasted chili sauce - trust us, we've been ordering it for a decade!

In the last year, we usually order the Mi Nam Vang and Mi Bo Kho, and both are consistently excellent. This past weekend, we finally decided to eat at the restaurant in person at Eden Center, and it was just as good as when we order delivery. The guy seating people was very polite and friendly, and our food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the Bun Mam and Mi Nam Vang, and both were amazing. Everything tasted fresh and came out super hot, which I love. There are plenty of condiments on the table if needed, but honestly the broth is so flavorful that you do not really need them. They also give a great portion of protein, which I really appreciate. The place was packed and clearly very popular, and I can see why. I will definitely continue to support Hai Duong and hope they get even more business. And I appreciate that they got so much better compared to during COVID times, Great work, Hai Duong!
