We specifically asked if we needed to get a permit thru the City before removing these trees. We were told no and that in the 40 years he has worked in Redding he has never had to get one. Well.... he was wrong! If we had been given the facts, a permit would have cost us about $450.00. We paid him $6,500.00 to do the work and then the City came to us and hit us with a $16,000.00 fine. The City of Redding will not waive the fine! When we tried to talk with Bill's Tree Service and ask for our money back due to their error, they told us to basically kick rocks. Avoid doing business with this company! You are better off using a different company who knows the laws and it will save you thousands of dollars.
