This was forced on me! My wife wanted to do a salt cave but they were all booked so we decided to stop by for a soak and foot massage. I've done one of these before at a different establishment and I enjoyed it. The foot massage was solid not too much pressure but more than a simple rub. My only thing was the atmosphere. It was pretty crowded in terms of stations, so instead of a tranquil and peaceful space you had a lot of things going on in the background. Dropped in with a party of five women getting ready for an upcoming wedding. We had a variety of services needed, manis, pedi's, gels, fill ins and brows. We were seated immediately. Excellent service. With all the running around for the wedding, the massaging chair felt wonderful while getting a pedi done. A good assortment of nail colors available to choose from. Lots of OPI, which is a favorite. Mani pedi was $40.00, Pedi was $25.00, Brows $8.00, Liquid Gels were $40.00. I liked that all employees were women. We had stopped first at another local place which had nothing but slovenly dressed men, not a good first impression. Very happy with our time here. read more

This was my first visit because the place I usually go was closed. The establishment is beautiful and comfortable. The employees seemed a little rude. I ignored that. I didn't go there to make friends. I went for a pedicure. The person doing my toes was very rough. She cut to much of my cuticle. I stopped her from cutting because I wanted to leave with the same ten toes I came in with. Once the girl was done with my feet, she started on another lady beside me. It's so hit or miss coming here. I get my nails done once a week. When I can't get in with my normal girl I come here. I had one person do my fill in and another apply my polish. I knew from the start of my policy application, the end result would not be good. She didn't know how many base coats of gel polish to put on and she missed a lot of my nail, so I knew the polish wouldn't stick. After I left, I spent the next ten minutes sitting in my car picking the extra gel polish off from around and under my nails, that had no base coat to stick to and was essentially flopping around. I'm sorry, but no. I came here with a bridal party of six, and the one upside is that we were all accomodated fairly quickly. Most of us requested both manicures and pedicures, and myself and two others did shellac instead of polish. I frequently get shellac on my nails so I am familiar with the process. Unfortunately, no matter how nice my manicurist was, I was completely unimpressed with the job. My nails have ridges and bumps in the polish and there is gel on my cuticles and the surrounding skin. I chose a light, neutral pink color (which of course doesn't help hide imperfections), but the quality of the job was just ridiculous. One of the other bridesmaids had her shellac manicure chip the next day. What?! On top of all of this, a shellac manicure and pedicure was $75. That is insane for New Bern! I wouldn't mind paying that if the service was outstanding, but it was so far from it I was actually left disgusted. Bottom line: find somewhere else to get your nails done. read more

My pedicure looks pretty good. The manicurist cut my toe a little bit, but it wasn't that big of a deal. I was satisfied with the work. The manicurist was pleasant. Terrible customer service!! I wanted to get my nails done and called ahead to make sure they weren't busy. The girl that answered said they were busy but come at 4. I went at the time she said and I waited for 45 minutes. Women that came in after me went ahead and had their nails done. I questioned it and they acted very uncaring and didn't help me. I finally got up and said I'm leaving and one girl said we are getting you ready now. She asked if I had picked out a color and I said no.... I've been waiting for 50 minutes. I went and sat in a salon chair and waiting another 5 minutes with NO ONE helping me and so I got up and left! I will never go back there. AWFUL customer service! read more

Horrible place for a pedicure. The water was room temp turning cold, they use cheap nail polish that looks old, the tech was so soft handed I couldn't tell the difference between massage time or rinsing or applying products. They don't scrub your calluses or heels. She started my pedicure before finding out which one I wanted on the menu. My tech and the one working on my mom has a horrible attitude, unprofessional. Also the pedicure I ordered was a shellac pedicure for $48, at the end my tech said there's an additional $20 charge to use the shellac polish. DO NOT TRUST THIS SALON!!!!!!!!! THEY WILL LIE STRAIGHT TO YOUR FACE ABOUT THE PRODUCTS THEY'RE USING IF THEY FEEL LIKE THEY CAN GET OVER ON YOU. Me and a friend came here to get our nails done I told them we wanted GEL full sets, my friend went and started her manicure while I did my pedicure. When I went over to start my nails my technician automatically brought purple monomer and acrylic powder out, so immediately I stopped her and told her I wanted gel nails and polish she attempted to offer me the gel powder, but insisted you use the monomer with it. I told her NO I want liquid gel! Because I know you do not use monomer with gel wether it's the liquid or the dipping if it's gel there will never be monomer used with it!!! My friend notices there's a difference so she asked why hers were different I pointed out that if there's a monomer and powder it's definitely acrylic, she had even directly stated TO the technician before she started that she wanted gel nails and polish and the technician insisted that's what she was doing and even after they had been caught she still insisted on lying straight to her face and brought out two tubs of powder out insisting the gel powder is the one she used. I don't know who isn't aware, but gel powder is not applied with monomer. If your nail salon is following the proper protocol they would apply an adhesive to the nail and SPRINKLE THE GEL POWDER OVER THE NAIL!! BECAUSE DIPPING IT is UNSANITARY!!!! This woman and establishment took advantage of someone's lack of knowledge and lied and ripped off a guest! BUT IT DOESN'T STOP THERE!! After the ladies refused to acknowledge what they had done they charged her for gel nails and then when we finally got in contact with the "MANAGER" he was rude and nasty said he would refund us our money but we weren't allowed back and hung up on me. My friend went to get her money back and low and behold they didn't give it to her cussed her and made her get out! Trash trash trash! Scam artist's. And I can promise you if they're low enough to treat a paying customer like this I know for 100% fact they're using illegal PRODUCTS! They should be using ethyl methacrylate which is approved by the FDA but I know their products are methyl methacrylate. The difference being methyl is used to make bulletproof glass and can actually cause you to have an allergic reaction to where even if you use the proper ethyl methacrylate your nails will still reject and they always will from the time that you use that product and have the allergic reaction. Thank you and I know you guys will be seeing this . I will be coming up there and she will get her money back or you can expect me to be outside the business exposing you to every guest personally. The fact that you not only scammed and lied to a customer's face and didn't pay her back WHEN THE MANAGER HIMSELF STATED HE WOULD PAY HER BACK IS DISGUSTING. I HOPE YOU GET SHUT DOWN. read more

I've been getting gel powder nails here for years. It is always clean and tidy inside. The owners are always there and on top of customer relations. If I ever have a chip or any other issue that pops up between appointments they always fix it free of charge even if it's my fault. They also wax my eyebrows and it's always been a good experience. It's a convenient location and they are quick so I can get back to work or home to my family fast! read more

Clean and beautifully decorated Salon. I was greeted multiple times when I came in which I loved! There were 15 or 16 girls working which was great. The place was very large and had pedicure chairs on both sides, also a plus. The girls spoke English and smiled a lot but were also a little shy. I had a pedicure and a shellac manicure and paid $55 which wasn't bad considering the long foot massage and the manicure came with a lotion massage and my hands were dipped in hot wax. I gave 5 stars for my overall experience & because Melinda was very sweet and did not rush doing my pedicure. read more
