I have been coming to Jan Nails since it opened. It is a lovely family owned business. Last week it would have gotten 4 stars. However, due to 3 mincommunications in a row, I will not be going back. Last week I took full credit for the miscommunication, and tipped well. This week I know for sure what I scheduled, because I clarified services desired several times before leaving salon last week. I just got my nails done here and they did a great job. I am very picky about my nails being done good. The place I was going always left an uneven space on the edge where it was sharp and my hair would get underneath this space. I expressed that I did not want this to happen. So she was extremely careful to get the edges smooth. I am happy with their work and will be back. I recommend this place for nails. read more

I come here regularly for shellac. Reasonably priced and I can usually walk in. The staff is friendly. They will also do shellac pedicures. The also have a discount card. I like that they remember me and even my friends who visit from out of town. read more

This place does amazing nails....unfortunately it's not somewhere to go if you want to RELAX. Every time I've been they have at least 3 of their young children in there....and the technicians usually have an iPad infront of them playing very loudly while they are doing your nails, or EATING. Last time I went was my final straw as my manicurist daughter who was maybe 3 was in there with a fever while 2 other young kids ran around. I really hope they can get it together, the owners are really sweet people but I can't handle the headache I have when I leave here. read more

I had been to this salon 5 times. The prices are reasonable but their time management is horrible. They only have 2-3 people working. The first time, I was there for 2 hours having a pedi & full-set done. I thought maybe because I was having a full-set was the reason for the time. I had fills done 3 times after that with a pedi and was there for 2-3 hours. The full-set job was okay, I've had better done. I over heard a couple ladies ask for Jan, so I decided I should check out her nail job. My 5th time going I arrived 3 minuets late, so they gave my appointment away. I waited a hour for a pedi and only because I had an event I was attending the next day, I couldn't go looking for a different salon. After my pedi I waited another 20 minuets for Jan. By then I had been there a little over 2 hours. Between my full-set she stop to start on another customers nails and her child would ask her for things. She stopped two different times for her daughter. By then I was there for over 3 hours and I knew I would never return to this salon.
