I only came to this nail salon because it's near my job and decided to give it a try. They have a ton of no-chip colors but when you actually see the colors in the fake nail roller where you choose your color(s) is way off! They don't even match. I went in for a repair because I was going out for the evening and couldn't get to my regular nail salon. The guy who did my nail repair has NO idea why he is doing. Ive been a random patron of this place over the years, and consistently was disappointed in the quality of the work. My whole family goes here, so I thought maybe one day I would actually get a good mani-pedi. I don't like anything too fancy, and usually just like my hands cleaned up and cut very short and painted clear. They always give me a hard time and always are insisting that I get tips or gels. I always decline, and they rush through my mani, and my nails are always chipped by the next day. Now onto the real disaster... I went to Lee for a party where we all got our mani-pedi's. We had a blast by ourselves, and then the nail technicians came up. My sisters nail tech kept yelling at her about her cuticles. My other sisters nail tech kept being very rude to her and made everyone feel uncomfortable. My nail tech was quiet, but cut my cuticle on my hand and made me bleed once. My sister noticed that when they go crazy with the skin razor on your heels that they pull a tray out from under the pedicure station where they catch the skin. She said it was disgusting and they don't empty it, and they just push it back under the chair when they are done. Piles of skin sitting under a pedi station is just not sanitary. On top of that, the tools they use do not seem so sanitary. I left my party and a few days later I saw a strange white spot under my finger nail. Then my whole nail from that spot started to fall off!!! I finally went to a higher end nail salon where I was told that I had either had a nail fungus from Lee or that they had damaged my nail bed. Needless to say- this was my last trip to Lee nails ever again. read more

This place isn't too far from my apartment, so I thought I'd give them a try. I stopped by one Sunday afternoon for a manicure and pedicure. I ended up getting a male nail tech, which was a first for me. Still, I don't discriminate, so I hopped up in the chair and tried to relax while soaking my feet. Unfortunately, this guy kept trying to chat with me, which I found rather annoying. Like, HELLO..... I'm trying to watch Geraldo. Anyway, he eventually got the hint and just focused on my feet. Except then, I thought maybe he was focusing on my feet a little TOO much as he gave me a foot massage that seemed to last a little longer than necessary. But there are worse things, I guess, weirdness factor aside, so I just let it go. After a basic french pedi, he did my nails. He seemed totally confused when I asked him to make my nails shorter (my job requires a LOT of typing) and almost begrudgingly obliged me. Whatever. He then he proceeds to trim my nails in possibly the most piss-poor manner possible. Seriously, about two weeks after visiting this place, I had hangnails on 8 out of 10 fingers. NOT GOOD. I decided on a french manicure to match my pedi. It looked decent enough, with the exception of the bubbles in my polish. Grrrr. I won't be back. My bf loves being pampered) anyway, She said, Clear nail polish or buffer? and i said "Buffer" and she said, "buffer?" and I said no clear polish, two totally different words, right? and she said, "Buffer?" and I said, what the hell, yea buffer. Went for my 1st time ever pedi. After many races I just needed one. It was well worth it and I LOVED it!! Went a 2nd time to have the same experience. Couldn't say I did The lady(different from 1st time) was ok, but became annoying after giggling & speaking her language to someone else then looking at me. Very rude ,I must say. Who knows what they were talking about? My toes? It's their specialty. Though it was my first time, I did keep up with my toes. Anyways, I decided to get a full set of nails too cause the Blackhawks had me at the edge of my seat and... my nails. Ughh! Just thinking about it upsets me again. My Acrylic nails were not cleaned underneath, buffed for a smooth finish, they were polished beforehand & the result of them were not great. Got home & cleaned them up. Noticed they looked scratched (of course, they were filed but not buffed). After 3days I noticed the top part near the cuticle was already coming out, as if needing a "fill in" I just got these!!! The place looks clean, 5 STARS!! But... the manicure I received was absolutely wretched. It's like they completely skipped the buffing step and I am staring at the ridges on my nails as I type. Mind you, I did point out the annoying ridges on my nails and how I'd like to see them disappear!! Oh and I had the pleasure of watching in horror as they poured accetone in my brand new $8 bottle of Essie polish (I always bring my own in case the salon doesn't have a shade I want). I wanted to turn around but stayed, because the wait was about 30 min's long. I got my eyebrows waxed and they kept asking if I wanted anything else. I managed to get out of there without getting suckered into any specials of the day. It's been about 6 months and I keep going back. I got my nails done there once. I would never do it again. I told the guy that I was a chef and that my nails needed to be very short. All I wanted was acrylic fullest. I walked out of there with long $50 nails. I've got mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, the ambience is much nicer than many of this kind of nail place. It's clean with a somewhat cohesive decor. As soon as I walk in, they take care of me...and the service is quite attentive. On the other hand, my manicurist was a little rough. I realize that with the language barrier, it's standard to just slap my leg to tell me to put it back in the water, but this gal was not pulling punches. The foot/leg massage portion was woefully short (I'm giving a jealous sideways glance at another review that complains about the massage being too long!). Also, at some point another customer tried to get my manicurist's attention, and this really seemed to bug the manicurist. I'm not sure if she felt like I didn't understand her (I did), but she kept repeating how I was her customer, and she was focused on me. And then proceeded to keep repeating that when I come back, I should ask for her...I mean, she literally said this at least 8 times, and I felt obligated to comfort her. She did a good job, and I may return to give her another chance, but I'm not optimistic. It's kind of a lot of pressure, ya know? read more

You barley take 3 steps into the place and either the owner's daughter or some nail tech yells "Pick a color!". No "How may we help you?" or even a friendly "Hello". One of the guys who sits near the back has ZERO customer service skills, he spent the whole time looking down and barley acknowledged me. He cut my skin while filing too hard and didn't even apologize. They all speak loudly in another language to each while doing your nails which is also extremely rude. If i'm paying for a service it would be nice to have the persons attention and NOT be treated like CATTLE upon arrival. This used to be my go to nail salon, I used to send may friends and coworkers here. We even had many parties up in the party room upstairs. After seeing how much this place has changed, I no longer recommend this place to ANYONE! It seems like the workers only act friendly when the owner Jenny is around. This was my first time visiting Lee Nails. I went in to soak off my no chip manicure and to get a regular mani to give my nails a break from gel. Before the tech wrapped my nails she grabbed the electric nail file drill to file the top of my nails. I don't understand why she did that. Every salon I visit just wraps my nails and let them do its own thing. The other tech who did the polish was exceptional. I removed my regular polish today and I am devastated. My nails have many dents on them from the file drill. They look like someone took a knife and went over each nail. I'm so disappointed. It's going to take months for nails to get back to normal. He snatched the no chip colors out of my hand while I was still looking at them.. ummm ok. Never bother for DIPPING nails here! I gave them 2 tries. Both were horrible experiences. They tried short cuts and it never turned out right. Second time the man tried put acrylic style using the dipping power. Telling me it's all in my not liking acrylic and the shaving of nails; he knows what he was doing. I ended going back up the next day and 2 separate days after because polish would chip off. I decided to remove the whole thing. They looked terrible polish was peeling. The girl damaged my nails while trying to remove the mess the man did. Never again. My daughter gave them 2 tries also. At different days then when I went. Same situation. What's worst is my daughter went back next day and again 2 days later. She decided to remove it and they charged her full price for gel. What is horrible is they do not know what they are doing when it comes to Dipping Nails. Experimenting on the Dipping Nails but charging 45.00 as if they know. I truly believe they are experimenting and shouldn't be charging full price. When I went back to remove it within a week because I was tiered of coming 3 consecutive days to repair 1 nail each time. They still charged full price for my manicure. They won't admit to not having the knowledge for the job or not caring to satisfying the customers. As long as that money comes in they smile and nod their heads. We have been going there for years. Bu Never again. I have friends that go elsewhere for Dipping Nails and that's where I will go from now on. read more

This is probably the only place I go and I trust to go for amazing looking nails. I've gotten regular no chip manis here but I've recently gotten powder with an additional tip for length. Rosa is the best! She is very professional and knowledgeable with their products. I've gotten my nails done by 3 different employees here and I've always been happy with the results. They recently renovated. It's very clean inside. They are always busy which is always a good sign. Must mean they're good at what they do! Which is very true. I'd definitely give this place a try. Let me start off by saying I am super disappointed with how much Lee nails changed over the years .I have been going to this location since I was 18years old. Almost half my life. It used to be so good that even after moving over 10 miles I used to make a trip at least once a month for a pedicure and gel fill. 90% of the time I had Charlie do my nails. Awful. Dirty, disorganized and too many stations crammed in. The grumpy old man "doesn't do pedicures" so he wanted to do my no chip first. I said I usually soak my nails while getting the pedicure and asked if that was enough time to get the current polish off. He yelled at me and said "I know what I doing!" I didn't even get my nails done- if they try and use a drill to remove the top layer off of a no chip, run as fast as you can.
