I try to avoid coming here because the big girl with the colored hair is habitually rude and condescending. So as soon as I came in, she gave her typical attitude as if she is bothered by my presence. I asked for a gel pedicure and a fill on a gel set. I had got here about 12 days ago. In a condescending tone, she questioned me about gel fills, grabbed my hand, (I REALLY do not appreciate being touched without my consent!) took a look, said something in another language to the workers and I was told me to sit. So we are about an 50 minutes into my pedicure and finally someone comes over to do my nails. I can tell the tech is a little frustrated with the previous job. She asks if they were done here I say yes by this time she's over drilled my nails, and they're burning at this point she shakes her head and asks if she can remove one of the nails because it's no good. Then she proceeds to remove another and asks if she can just redo the whole set. I'm already in pain from her removing the gel with a drill and have been sitting here for an hour watching my pedicure be done without gloves start to finish....I'm good thanks! I don't normally go to nail shops in Pomona, but I gave this spot a chance. The location was clean, staff was friendly, and the place was packed with people. I waited about 30 mins. My tech was really nice, no cuts or anything of the sort. However I was very disappointed when I arrived home and saw my toes close up. The tech had put oil, and lotion on my feet before I left, and everything looked nice. Well it wasn't. First, the gel was blotchy, she did three coats... so it was clearly ready to retire. Second my cuticles were ... not properly cleaned nor pushed back like at other places. My toes didn't look shiny and clean. It looked like I did them myself. Don't know if this was just the tech or if that's how they normally run business. But I sadly don't see my self coming back. Ps one of my toes started peeling, and I'm hoping it's nothing. My sister and I went in midday on a Monday to get our nails done. They were able to sit me down right away and my sister had to wait about 10 minutes with no appointment. The ladies in there were very very nice. I wanted a short pink full set and the color that I ended up with was a bit off, but I didn't mind it. I wasn't expecting exactly what was on the picture. Unfortunately, my sister and I were cut multiple times. The person doing my nails pulled back on the skin around my nails in order to move the cuticles back which was pretty painful. If you have sensitive skin i would not recommend this place.The cuts burned for about a week after. Once healed the cuticle area got pretty crusty, I posted a picture. My ring finger specifically started to bleed. After the service the quality of nails was sort of what I expected. A little unevenness due to the service being performed so quickly. Also, I didn't notice until the end but one of my nails is really crooked. Overall together we paid a little over $100 including tip. It's been a little over a week and my nails are holding up, my cuticles look horrible- pretty torn up. My sister was happy with the flower designs she got, but also pretty upset that she was cut on almost all of her fingers. I would always come here every now and then to get a pedicure. This time around was not it. I had made an appointment at 9:00am to get my pedicure done along with another person. We both arrived 15 minutes early. When arriving we can both tell that they were already taking people in. We get in tell them that we here for pedicures appointments. Our service didn't start till almost 9:30. My lady gets started everything seems to be going well up until they were getting busy and she starts to rush me out of there. When she started to use the polish I noticed that there was hardly any more to use in there. Asked to see if maybe there was another bottle and she didn't answer me. She finishes and I did not like how she did my right toe and asked to fix it. She told me no that she'll do it later because another person is waiting. Excuse me it's not my fault I was one time for the appointment and you were 30mins late. I believe the younger girl in there was the manager and told her I will not be tipping if I do not like my service and don't like how the lady was doing my pedicure wouldn't fix my nail. Tried it out as a first timer and paid for a "combo" (approx. $42) and the woman who did the manicure kept saying "no need do salt scrub on your hand, too rough and itchy!" However, I was charged extra to take off some of my gel polish on my fingers. It should've been free since all she did was clean, light massage, and color. The pedicure was ok. And she said my name is No name... I realized that she was being rude, probably got mad because I asked for a different color! "No name took me to her station and I seen her name on the nail dryer! Her name is Lisa ! She's petite, dresses like a teenager and has really large false lashes. She continues with her rudeness. She asked me when was the last time you got nails? I said a long time ago. She replied: no wonder you don't know nothing! I still don't know what I did or said to deserve that type of treatment. She left my nails with layers of polish and uneven, and terrible work. I paid $60 for pedicure and new set of nails. And I tipped her!!! I told my husband that I was so unhappy with the work., he agreed., he didn't like it either and I told him about her rudeness! He wanted so bad to go tell off, but I stopped him. People speak up! I regret not asking what her problem was. I went to another nail place to get them fixed. I ended up paying $89.00! For everything $60 plus $ 10 tip.... then $20 to get them smooth and even plus another $8 tip at the other place. I hope that (noname) Lisa her real name. Really like the sterile bags used to keep equipments. The bowl for pedicure line with new plastic bag. They use gloves and change it before doing nails. The one bad thing is limited English and sometimes I end up paying more cuz I had no idea what she asked me to do. Also no wifi (?? Why) and no place to put my bags. I wish there was a stool instead of putting my bags on floor! On the plus side I love they give you pillows to hold. I don't recommend bringing tots here. The smell of fumes and also the wait time and lack off seating area is going to be an issue. Cost is reasonable .... Unless u end up saying yes to everything cuz you couldn't understand what they saying. Better idea to make appointment or you'll be waiting by the door. I came back the next day and they made me wait over an hour and then asked me to pay an extra 7.00. I refused to pay extra for what they should have fixed right away ( i was on break so when i came in i rushed out and realized my nails looked like the 99 cent store fake nail set i used to use when i was little ). I've given this place a try over and over for acrylic but this was the end for me. Update - manager called me today March 2 and asked me to go back in and they would fix it so I'm happy. read more
