I've always wondered about this place and have driven by literally hundreds of times. It seems very large with few cars out front. Nevertheless, I went in one day to look at potential new ceiling fan replacements. The selection is large, I'll give them that. But one thing they do I will not participate in - there is a reception desk as soon as you walk in and they want you to sign in (name, number, etc.). No, not if I am just browsing! I don't need to be on their mailing list or database. The salesperson I spoke with was sort of a hard-sell type. When I said I was just starting to spec potential brands and models, she lost interest very quickly. I guess they must all work on commission - and from the looks of it, probably directly with builders and interior designers. Lee Lighting isn't bad, but it doesn't seem to be built for retail customers. They are VERY old school and that just doesn't cut it these days. I needed lights for my remodel and visited several places before coming across Lee Lighting in Colleyville. I was hesitant to try them because of their old reviews, however, they made me feel welcome from beginning to end. The sales associate was friendly and helpful, and answered all my questions without hesitation. Everything was available within a reasonable time frame and they communicated with me regarding a backordered item which allowed me to reselect to maintain my instillation time frame. I wish I would have read the reviews before making my purchase here. Horrible customer service, excessive wait times (1 month to receive 1 fan that was supposedly in stock), poor communication, and in the end only received half of the items that we paid for. Not once did we receive an apology for their mistakes, wait time, or falsely communicated information. What they did do is blame their new "system" for their disorganization and then proceeded to be rude. We didn't have to deal with any of this when we went through Wayfair, and we found a better deal with a better fan. read more

We worked with Lee Lighting on all our lights and fans in our new home. Terri S. we worked with initially and she did a great job helping us through all the many selections we had to make. Terri then retired and I have worked closely with Deborah M. now. Deborah has been really wonderful to work with on a few follow up items we have had. She has been extremely responsive, accommodating and helped solve a few things needed to complete our order and installation. It's been a really great and enjoyable experience with everyone at Lee Lighting and certainly Deborah and Terri made that possible. read more

I've been trying to go to this store after work for months and it's always closed before I can get there. Today I got there at 4:58 and the door was already locked. (Close at 5:00). A man came to the door and unlocked it, asking me if I was making a pick-up. I explained that I wanted to run through the store to see if I needed to bring my husband in sometime. He ignored me so I went through the store for about three minutes. I told them I was in love with the store on my way out and the two people sitting behind the desk near the front door ignored me again. As soon as I was out, they did get up and lock the door again. Much of what they have in this store is available on Wayfair. They had some lovely things. I just can't imagine wanting to shop there if they are so ugly to potential customers. My husband has purchased here several times and every time I go in with him I am uncomfortable and just amazed how rude these people are! They literally look at you like "what do you want". So sad that a business owner would allow this kinda of attitude to spread throughout their employees like a virus... unless the owner is the culprit of the bad vibes lol At first I thought it was just us but from the looks of the other reviews these people are just plain rude and it's them!!!!! I stopped in at the Colleyville location on Friday, February 10, 2017....to be greeted by a locked door at the open of the store. I walk in and basically was thrown to the wolves...I expressed what Items I was interested in looking for. I was instructed to look around the store on my own and see if I would find the item I was looking for. Keep in mind I was the only prospective buyer in the store. I told the salesperson Terri it is the same every time I come into the store. She said, is it busy when I come in and I told her....it's never busy. When I go into the ZGALLERIE in Southlake it is like having a personal shopper...unlike Lee Lighting. STEER CLEAR and it you decide to go to LEE LIGHTING.........Good Luck Where are all the totally decaded employees??? I guess a good indication to judge where you should shop is check out the reviews on line prior to going. read more

WORST EVER .....Spent tons on money on their high dollar fan that were awful!!! I even hired their specialist to install their "special " high dollar fans ... which were noisy and shorted out.... When I asked for help .. I got horrible customer service and the tech wouldn't even return my calls. I spent hundreds of dollars on fans and I can assure you the 99.00 fans from Loews and Home Depot were much quieter.... This place SUCKS !!!!! I am from Keller , TX. read more

NEVER SHOP HERE! There were several people involved in the purchase of our lights for our new house, Gail, Christie and Joe. We ordered our lights and fans on 2/5/14, it is now 2/5/15 and we still do not have all of our lights and fans working in our new house and we have been living here for 9 months. First of all we are using LED lights and a home automation system. We had our home automation system and they installed the LED strip lighting. Turns out the 2 were not compatible, this after they charged us 10 times the cost of the LED lighting anywhere else. Then they wanted us to pay to change our automation system so their lights would work. They will not take back their lights as we have another company that will come in a do it at a fraction of the price. They have screwed around with every different transformer under the sun. It take 3 months between visits for them to work on the problem. They show up without an appointment as if we live at their beck and call. A repairman just showed up at our house at 8am without an appointment to see if our fans were "really not working". Funny that Christie was just here on Monday and told me the fans had been ordered months ago! They will not take back the ceiling fans either. I have another light in my attic that I changed my mind about a week after I ordered it and they wont take that back either. Funny how it takes 3 months for something to come in but you can't cancel the order after a week. read more

Found a pendant light on their website that I wanted for my entryway. $558 + 10% off sale, free shipping. Had some questions, so called them. Friendly salesperson quoted me a price of $720...uh, no, your website says $558 minus 10%. She told me they would match the website price, but needed me to talk to a Manager to work it out. Passed me on to her...she said she needed to call corporate and would get back to me, but that they would match the price, no worries. They then send me a quote for $680.03... $628.20 + sales tax. Uh, no... I also re-checked the website and guess what, the website now shows a new price of $698, with a 10% sale price. Interesting... Talked to the manager again and she said corporate approved her to sell it to me for $558, but won't give me the 10% off, even though the website does not say that is a website-only sale price. Somebody either messed up, or is trying to take advantage. No one is claiming ownership. Lee Lighting did all the lighting in both of my custom homes. However, I am walking away over $50 and will NOT be back. read more

I echo the reviews about the poor customer service. My husband and I returned on December 22, 2017 to buy specific outdoor lights which were quite expensive. The front desk salesperson treated us like an interruption. In fact, she surveyed us from head to toe like the infamous snob in "Pretty Woman" at the clothing boutique and demanded, "What do you want to buy?!" We asked if there were any discounts or promotions for these items, and she brushed us off instead of courteously declining. We decided to buy the same light fixtures elsewhere and confronted her for her disregard for customer service. She didn't seem to care. read more

Poor Customer service. We ordered a set of lights for the bar. The lady took our order. We called back after 5 days to see what the hold up was. As it turns out they were out of stock. WHY didn't you tell youthat in the first place? We ordered a different set. Only one of the lights did not match. So we had to go back AGAIN! Went to Lee Lighting and special ordered a dining room pendant light by Elk Lighting. Delivery took 4 weeks. Item arrived with a massive dent and bent support bar. Lee would not allow a return without charging a $100 restocking fee, even though the light arrived with significant damage. Asked if, upon purchase of a different light, the restocking fee could be applied to a new purchase with Lee, the answer was no. Lee stated that this was all Elk Policy and had nothing to do with Lee. We then went to Elk Lighting's very own website and found that Elk offers free shipping, FREE RETURNS, NO RESTOCKING FEE, guaranteed 3 day shipping or $100 back, and a 15% discount code.....things that make you go hmmm. At that point we decided we won't be giving Lee Lighting any more of our business. We have since ordered a new light by Elk Lighting, through their official website (elklightinglight.com), and have saved over $200 (over Lees quoted price) in the process. Bottom line: Elk Lighting obviously wants our continued business, Lee lighting obviously does not. read more
