I wasnt able to locate on yelp or google but its located 2nd floor right next to Macy's . I came on a saturday for a 6:15 pm appointment on February 21st and booked with Dr.Catherine. I was seen by Dr. Steven Lee instead. The visit was great.. Absolutely didn't have to wait a long time. It's been awhile since I last checked out my eyes. Dr. Lee took his time assessing the concerns and issues I had. It was very easy to talk to Dr.Lee . He was patient, I did not feel rushed at all. Compare to all the visits I have had with other locations, all the doctors would rush and I would be done being seen by a doctor within 10 mins while the wait with appointments would take 30 minutes. I highly recommend coming here, time is money. The full appointment took 50 minutes with less than 1 minute wait to be pre-test screening and assessed by a doctor.

That's late. I was told before my exam that my frame size could be accommodated. It could not. No amount of "above and beyond" was needed or would have changed the bad information from the beginning. The shop can't accommodate wide frames. The business owner did offer a free pair of frames (that would not fit), by way of apology. I do not want free things, but thanks for the sentiment. Original post: Dr. Luo was 15 minutes late to her 1st appointment of the day with no apology or even mention. While waiting for my exam, I told the front desk that I needed large frames and asked which brands to look at. I was told that two brands in stock would accommodate me, and that they could order anything else. After the exam, it turns out they do not have a pair of frames that will fit me. They did encourage me many times to get a smaller pair with the hope that the springs would stretch enough. Would still be too small. Since that was certainly not going to be a viable option, I asked for copies of the written prescriptions for reading, computer, and distance, to be filled elsewhere, only to be told that I already had them, and that I misunderstood when Dr. Luo told me she would save distance scripts to their system and that they had printed them out in tandem to save paper. That's not a misunderstanding. That's a miscommunication. All around, poor place.

Whenever I get glasses from them they make my vision worst. They made light burn. Then they blame me and accuse me of faking it. I have 3 skull based injuries from my service in the Navy that requires 3 different brain surgeries. It affects my vision. Doctor Lam prescriptions has always made my vision near perfect. My vision goes in and out and I get double and burry vision but her prescription fixes and stabilizes my vision. I have a tiny hole in my skull and blown inner ear plus 2 other things wrong with my skull that affects my vision. UCLA doheny eye clinic in pasadena , Long Beach VA(UCI) west La VA (ucla) and ucla neurology/brain tumor clinic all cannot fix my prescription. Dr Lam fixed it in 30 mins . West LA VA(UCLA) wants to do 3 different types of brain surgery on me but told me that they cannot fix my vision . The difference is night and day with her prescription. Long Beach VA low vision/blind rehab wanted me to use a white cane . I can see perfectly with her prescription but I still have my head injuries that sometimes make my vision blurry or not focus and not want to focus but her prescription fixes most my major vision issues .

I only took off a star because it seems like receptionist doesn't really know what they are doing since they had a hard time look up my insurance (saying that they don't accept it when they do) or understand what my insurance covered (copay and etc. coverage). Parking is easy to find in the lot, but you can easily get parking on the street too.

Dr. Kenneth Cao was very nice and professional. He took the time to explain my mom's and I's eye health/condition to each of us through whatever language accommodations we needed. He took his time to throughly examine our eyes and provided his genuine opinion as an OD for what's best for our eye health. I also got contacts and the whole check up for that was very quick and easy. I felt no discomfort when testing out my new contact prescriptions. Everything was done efficiently with ease. The front receptionist did a decent job with taking care of the paper work, but when it came to the issue of referrals to an ophthalmologist, she did not do well in explaining the process nor guiding us on what the next best steps would be. Which is the only reason why I am giving a 4 star instead of a 5 star review.
