Walked into this optometrist in hopes to find some prescription sunglasses for myself but was shot down by their poor customer service. They were not friendly at all. I was greeted by an older Asian man who just did not want to be there nor did he want to help me. He followed me around the store as if I was going to steal something. WOW. If I were to say something positive about this place, it would have to be their selection of glasses. There was a great variety to choose from. But OVERALL, If I wanted to be treated poorly and discriminated against, I would rather shop online than to spend my money at a place like that. read more

Been looking for a new optometrist since my old one honestly went to sh*t. Came here about about a week ago, give or take, to ask about my new insurance that I receive from my new employer and if they take that insurance. Long story short I had some issues with Dr. Wang obtaining my info about my insurance but she told me she would take care of it & scheduled me in for today. She told me that if she didn't call me back regarding my insurance situation before my appointment date then it meant that she resolved it. I called a couple minutes before my appointment time to double check that everything was good before going in, and it was. She resolved the issue & I'm grateful she did. Usually Dr.'s, at least the ones I've dealt with, let the patients handle anything insurance on their own and that can sometimes be stressful on the patients but the fact that Dr. Wang took it upon herself to resolve it herself was much appreciated. I came in today for my appointment and I didn't wait or anything. I was the only patient which was great. I don't know if that's bc of COVID or if it's normally like that here but I loved it either way. I immediately filled out the new patient forms & she took me to the back to start the exam process. She explained everything that she was going to do, which I already knew since I've worn glasses all my life, but it was a nice reminder. I had a little issue with my current glasses which I explained to her & she happily explained what were the possible reasoning behind it which made so much sense to me. She even said that once we stayed the frame selection that she would help me with that issue. After the exam ended she allowed me to check out their glasses selection & even asked what kind of style I was going for. They have great options & I really loved everything. Her & another older lady began to help me. Both so so sweet & helpful. Dr. Wang really knew what style I was going for & immediately brought me one that I instantly fell in love with. Dr. Amy Wang is a wonderful person who cares for her patients and doesn't push products and sales aggressively at all, unlike so many other places. Since it's a small business, she is able to take the time with patients. A top notch optometrist, up to date on the latest technology and studies plus is in touch with other medical professionals who might help patients if they needed. My husband was experiencing loss of vision in his right eye that lasted a half hour and Dr. Amy was there for us. We have recommended friends to her who love her. This is my regular optometrist, and although I don't usually review optometrists, I recently reviewed another one so I should give my regular optometrist some attention too. This place is very clean and professional-looking. The frames are all well organized and the equipment looks new and up to date. The doctor is very friendly and accommodating, and is very good at explaining all my questions, and even adjusts my prescription based on my personal requests. Basically if I come here, I feel like this place is legit and will give me an informed professional service. However, after the exam, the nice friendly feeling gets replaced by a disinterested feeling. The other staff there aren't very helpful with frame selection. I used to not realize this until I went to Fremont Optometry with my grandparents; the opticians there went into great detail about which kinds of frames are good for what, their strengths and selling points, etc. However the opticians here mostly gave me a quick, "yeah that looks good on you" or something, and they say that for every frame I pick up, so it's not very helpful or informative. On top of that for whatever reason they've never shown me the higher end frames that I was interested in. I remember looking at some Silhouettes and asking if they're for sale, and they said yes, but led me back to the other frames. What, are they judging me and think I can't pay for an expensive frame or something? Anyway, opposite problem from the other optometry I went to; there the doctor had attitude problems but the opticians were helpful. The search for the perfect optometry office continues I suppose. This is a good place to get an exam but if you want an informed opinion about your frame and/or lenses, bring your prescription elsewhere. read more

Traveled over 45 minutes to come here! I opted out of the place I use to go in Long Beach, which is closer to us. But, this place has more selection! And, super helpful and friendly! They help pick out and say yes or no on some you aren't so sure about! They don't rush you out! And care about satisfying your needs! Amy will even look on the computer to even further more ideas! However, it wasn't necessary. I got 2 that I wanted right away! One of them being aviator sun glasses in prescription. Never thought I could get these type prescribed! I was very happy about that!!! DO NOT GO HERE. I went here to have my perfectly fine glasses tightened a little because the sides were becoming a bit loose. They actually tightened it SO much that when I unfolded my glasses to try them on the earpiece SNAPPED. Shocked about what had happened, I was frantically considering what I would do because I needed these for driving and school. They took this opportunity to sell me a new frame. What was supposed to be a free procedure ended up costing me a few bills. I was such a dupe. They should've compensated me for BREAKING MY GLASSES. Learn from my mistake--do NOT go here. I've been wearing glasses for a very long time and decided to get contacts to get rid of my glasses tan line on the side of my face hahaha Amy was very nice and helpful during my two visit. First was for the exam and second was for a fallow up on my temporary contact lenceses, making sure I was comfortable and had no issues wearing them. I ended up needing stronger contacts after my second fallow up and now I have eagles eyes! Lol thank you Amy for being so professional and helpful! read more

Been here a couple of times to get check ups and contacts. The doctor is super friendly and detailed in her work. I was able to get an appointment in an emergency situation.
