Less than 1 star if I could!! The General Manager (Amy…read moreDuda) at the Woodstock VT branch was extremely rude when I raised a concern brought forth by a service tech (not a Dead River tech which I am sure played a role in her attitude) who was at my house over the weekend to fix my furnace and told me the issue that almost caused my house to burn down was most likely due to the tank not being filled regularly cause a large build-up of sludge which in turn burnt out all the electrical aspects inside the furnace - $800+ and tank needs replacement this spring, but thank god we still have our house and out fur-babies are still alive as we were not home when the issue occurred!! She was very belittling and extremely rude when I didn't use the correct terminology (I don't work in the fuel business). She even told me to research how sludge builds up in tanks, saying the tank not being full is not a contributing factor. So here is the research (special attention to the last line "This process is exacerbated by oil impurities, and internal tank rust, especially when tanks aren't kept full"): Sludge builds up in #2 heating oil tanks due to condensation, creating water at the bottom that fuels microbial growth (bacteria/fungi) that feed on the oil, producing waste that mixes with rust flakes, dirt, and oxidized oil to form a thick, sticky residue. This process is exacerbated by air exposure (oxidation), oil impurities, and internal tank rust, especially when tanks aren't kept full, creating ideal conditions for contaminants to settle at the bottom. It appears that both oil impurities and the tank not being full for months are contributing factors to the issue! I wasn't saying they were the only issue, but my research only strengthened my decision to change companies, as the lack of timely deliveries IS a factor in the issues we currently have! Please do better!! Customer beware: call the main office in Maine if you have an issue, as the Woodstock office is horrible!

(Actually, a bit earlier, but that was better, and we had spoken on the phone.) The job was difficult...pipe broken in 3 places, but he and his assistant worked diligently to find solutions for us, and they were finished in about 3.5 hours. He approached a difficult task with a can-do attitude, and a hearty laugh. And he stuck to his quote. On top of it, after they dug up our yard, they meticulously raked it back out and even the tire tracks leading up to the work site. You really couldn't tell they'd been there. I can't recommend Terry and TRJF Services highly enough.

The folks at Carriage Shed were easy to deal with, and happy and responsive in answering any questions we had. We were very impressed with the delivery and Jake's expertise in positioning the gazebo EXACTLY where it needed to be. We would definitely go with them again if we needed another outbuilding.

He was so friendly and professional, and the price he gave me on the phone was exactly what he charged me, didn't try to upcharge me last minute like some other places do. They also take credit/debit cards in addition to cash, which is a lifesaver because it's hard to find cash in unexpected situations like this. I would highly recommend Chad and his Fortified team to everyone!
