Let me tell you about my experience with Wolfeboro Oil, now a part of Eastern Propane and Oil…read more.. We are NYer's for now, but are going to be spending 1/2 of our time in the home we purchased last week in Wolfeboro. Today is Tuesday and we moved in Friday. This home has a very complex mixed system (radiant and baseboard) with 5 zones, old parts cobbled together by the builder, etc. It is a potential nightmare. First, I called the office and spoke with Jody and set up an account. She was awesome and helpful. I explained to her that I was concerned about the heating system and needed some help understanding it. She said "you need Troy, I spoke with him and he knows that system". Today, I meet Troy Glidden. He had called me a few times and he said he'd be able to stop by and walk me through things. So Troy just left, and what a top notch guy. He spent 30-45 minutes walking me through things, and I have a feeling that since the system is going to need some attention - that we are going to get to know each other well. He is a thoughtful, nice guy and he knows his stuff. He's going to be back to do a tune up and we will be addressing some issues with things here as we go. Troy is very impressive. Oh, and for today, no charge...he came out because I was a new customer and he knows the system. That doesn't happen in New York.

During the extreme cold in Feb 2023, my furnace stopped working. After an hour wait on the phone,…read morethe oil company sent a technician who said the furnace was broken. The tenants had to move into a hotel while I desperately searched for someone to replace the furnace. I use Cota at our ludlow home and called the WRJ location to see if they could help. They were out within an hour and fixed the furnace. Needless to say, I switched over to Cota Oil to handle all my homes. Can't say enough good things. It's rare to find exceptional service. Thank you so so much. Ps. Our ludlow house also had heat problems and Cota was out 11pm at night to fix that issue as well. I've been using Cota and Cota for about three years and they have saved me on a number of occasions: frozen pipes, burst toilet seal, etc.

Absolutely the worst company my wife and I have ever done business with. At the beginning of…read moreOctober they cam to our residence to install a 500# propane tank. They also ran 2 propane lines. One for our home and one for our generator. A couple days later they filled the tank. They informed us that they would not be able to make connections to the house or generator until November 13 as they had a full schedule. Today November 13. They show up and hook the propane to the house but did not connect the generator. I called the office to find out what was happening as they knew that they ran 2 lines. The office informs me that they needed to get a couple parts and the soonest they could return was mid January. Needless to say. We will be getting a new propane company that is competent I don't recommend Dead River to anyone that has to deal with the Bristol NH office.

Their trucks are a ubiquitous presence in the neighborhoods and highways. We've been dealing with Rymes since we bought our home three years ago. We're highly satisfied with their service both propane and also customer orientation. The automatic delivery system frees us from having to constantly check on our propane - even though I am cognizant of the level just because I'm obsessed with preparedness and I start calling when the level goes below 40% (the same propane tank powers the standby whole-house generator so a good supply is necessary). I gather they've got used to my consternation and the tank seldom goes below 50% before I have a tanker pulling to the house. Rymes offers convenient payment plans, whether market rate, fixed rate, graduated, etc. Some are clear winners if the price remains stable or decreases, some grant peace of mind against fluctuating prices during the Winter. Something for everyone. We most recently purchased a new water heater as replacement for our old one. Dealing with Jeff in the pricing, purchase and installation has been a pleasure. Wholeheartedly recommended.
