    Pipe Dreams Sewer & Drain

    Pipe Dreams Sewer & Drain

    (8 reviews)

Tyler of Pipe Dreams Sewer & Drain is *fantastic*. I've lived in my townhouse condo for nearly 12…read moreyears, and the kitchen sink has never drained marvelously well. I had understood that it was due at least in part to a shallow grade of the outlet pipe...whatever. A couple of years ago, it had gradually become clogged enough that it was draining painfully slowly. I had RotoRooter out to clear it, and when the work was done, it was much better. It drained just fine, like before. Over two or three months this past fall, it gradually slowed down again, and I waited because I remembered how expensive it was the last time. Finally, there was no more waiting. It had become gross, it was so *disgustingly* slow, and I was even wondering whether it would require major work of some kind. I am so happy to have seen the glowing reviews here of Pipe Dreams. I called them & they were able to get me in in two days. Tyler was here for about an hour, and the tools he used were very different from the long, manual snake that RotoRooter had used. It/they were motorized things that had a reach far down the pipes. Tyler explained that he was staying mindful of the neighbors' pipes and not disturbing those. When he was done, he filled the sink with water & then released it. Since we bought this place all those years ago, I had NEVER seen it empty so fast, and I didn't even think it was possible. The water began to spin and make the most beautiful whirlpool and then was gone. The whole time he was here, Tyler could not have been more considerate, clear in his communication, and helpful. He also gave me tips on how to keep the drain clear. I kept meaning to write this review soon after he was here, but it's now been three months - oops! Here is the bright side to the delay: I can report that the sink has been draining wonderfully ever since, and it makes me soooo happy every time I use the sink. Call Pipe Dreams! You will be glad you did.

Oh, if only you could leave a negative star review…read more There has been a portapotty at my house FOR 7 DAYS. ok, so really it's only 5 days longer than it was supposed to be here. It smells AWESOME!! The guests we had last night who had the pleasure of camping next to it - big fans. I called to see when it was being picked up. 'Oh, today, for sure today (already one day late). The next day: 'oh, I think they were all picked up (looking out my window, I must disagree) Following day: 'for sure today. We're really busy (clearly not with the rental side of the business) 10 AM Day four: 'it will absolutely be picked up today'. 3PM Day four: (out running errands before guests arrive) 'we have picked it up' 5PM Day four: ummm, so it's still here 'oh, yes. Our truck broke down, we'll get it tomorrow' Day five: arrive home 2PM. You'll never guess. 'We had an emergency and our technician was called out. Crickets.... Any suggestions on removal of an abandoned portapotty are most welcome.

He was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. He not only unplugged my pipes, but took the time on New Year's Eve to teach me a couple of things, about how this could happen. They made wake me up on New Year's Day, a much more pleasurable experience. Thank you Angie... Thank you Bruce! I am in customer service and work with the public every day. I don't recommend companies or people on a whim. Ask my customers ( cosmetologist), however, I would give this company a 5... With the experience I had with them. Thank you guys!

Had Bubs out to fix two small leaks and prime our well pump. My mistake was letting them start…read morewithout asking for their rate or an estimate. Getting water running again was our priority but he suggested starting on the leaks. Not long after beginning, Bub's father told me they couldn't attach their fitting to the well line because water was coming through; realizing my well line is gravity-fed after beginning. I had to pull the well line above the water level myself before they could install a shut-off valve. My well cover is about 300lbs and the line is 8ft down. I'm not sure what their plan would've been if I was not there. After saying the water was flowing again, they later told me my pump was done for and not to run it. They quoted $925 for a new pump, not including labor. With two hours of labor, the bill also came to $925 and my family was no closer to having running water. The materials installed were six feet of copper pipe, several compression fittings, a shut off valve, and a pipe hanger. I called another plumber afterward, who knew right away (just from a phone call) that my pump was fine. He had it running smoothly in minutes by clearing a port of sediment and then adjusting the pressure switch. Bub talked a lot about his experience and showed up with help but needed me to find a way to stop the water in order to address the first leak and then either missed or ignored the step that would've gotten my pump working. Their website claims they're transparent and budget-friendly, but I wasn't told his extreme rate upfront, the bill wasn't itemized (still waiting 9 days after he confirmed he would), and I nearly paid for an unnecessary pump replacement. Leaving 2 stars because the copper work itself was solid, but charging $250 per hour for six feet of easily accessible pipe work feels unreasonable. Being given the wrong diagnosis on the pump was unacceptable and raises concerns about their expertise or honesty.
