The plumber scheduled to come to my…read morehouse who had a "death in the family" which turned out to be his dog died I found that out later, but I didn't like being lied to a death in the family implies your wife or your mother or somebody. In any case they sent over a plumbing apprentice and electrical apprentice to do the job which they charged me an arm and a leg for they had to redo much of the work under the supervision over the phone from the plumber, who was supposed to be on the job. I know the details because I had disclosed that we have cameras all over the house for our business because we have a business and in one of our outbuildings. Every time there was a problem I called over to the plumbing department and said hey this has happened and the guy doesn't know what to do. It was just I want to say shit show but that's an understatement. PS that plumbing work failed and my son and his best friend fixed it as my son used to work for my construction company so I am very familiar with Plumbing. Naturally, we decided not to go back to Simple Energy because we were so disgusted with their work and because the dispatcher was so incredibly rude to me over the phone. He complained that I was spying on his worker while the worker was at my house and I just closed it. I had cameras and of course the cameras are monitored so hello. What he was mad was is that I knew he sent me someone who was really not qualified to do the work . In any case I had put this ridiculously bad Plumbing experience behind us when today a Simple energy propane truck drove through my backyard after delivering Propane to my next-door neighbor. I called Shawn at Simple Energy And said this was not acceptable especially because the driver didn't see me and almost hit me and our puppy as he zoomed through my backyard. You can't trespass you can't drive across my yard, especially if you're not delivering to me two strikes against the company. I don't know if they hire bad people or what but all in all I'd say I had a crummy experience.

Their trucks are a ubiquitous presence in the neighborhoods and highways. We've been dealing with Rymes since we bought our home three years ago. We're highly satisfied with their service both propane and also customer orientation. The automatic delivery system frees us from having to constantly check on our propane - even though I am cognizant of the level just because I'm obsessed with preparedness and I start calling when the level goes below 40% (the same propane tank powers the standby whole-house generator so a good supply is necessary). I gather they've got used to my consternation and the tank seldom goes below 50% before I have a tanker pulling to the house. Rymes offers convenient payment plans, whether market rate, fixed rate, graduated, etc. Some are clear winners if the price remains stable or decreases, some grant peace of mind against fluctuating prices during the Winter. Something for everyone. We most recently purchased a new water heater as replacement for our old one. Dealing with Jeff in the pricing, purchase and installation has been a pleasure. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Negative Stars. I contacted Jonathan a month in advance of my dig date to dig a simple trench to…read moreput electrical utilities underground. He delayed repeatedly. I should've fired him the 1st or the 2nd or the 3rd time. But I took him at his word and gave in to sunk cost fallacy. Because of his delays, the job got pushed into other obligations on the part of the electrician and Eversource. After over a month from the initial dig date, he did finally show up. He looked around, offered to go get a smaller machine (so he could cut down fewer trees), and never came back. I called and texted several times. No answer to any of it. Then, over 12 hours later, he texted saying he "tried to call but it went right to voicemail." (it didn't go right to voicemail when I called him ‍) I asked him what happened. No answer. Finally I did fire him, but a few days later I discovered he had been outright lying to me and the electrician. I called our electrician to explain what happened and he subtly implied that we shouldn't have delayed so many times and things would have been fine. I told him we never (not even once) delayed this job. The electrician told me that every time things got delayed, Jonathan told him that it was all my fault. That I was making new demands of him, changing plans, and just generally freaking out about things. For context, I've been living in an off-grid RV uncomfortably awaiting the day I finally get refrigeration, AC and running water. I've been trucking water onto our property, using a Porto potty and driving 45 minutes to the gym to shower. Jonathan knew all this. So needless to say, no I absolutely did not delay things by a single day. I've wanted nothing more than to pay this man the thousands of dollars to do is job so I can live comfortably again. But apparently that's too much to ask. There are several other weird lies he told. He told the electrician he was some family friend of ours doing me a favor. I literally did not know this man until I googled him a month before. He also told the electrician I insisted that I didn't want to talk to him and that I made Jonathan be the middle man so I didn't have to deal with him. Literally never happened. That lie actually hurt the most. It felt horrible to learn that all this time, the electrician thought I randomly hated him and was too good to talk to him. He also said (the day he showed up and went to get another machine before ghosting me) that he was going to get a "ditch witch" that would dig a trench in between the trees instead of cutting them down--he INSISTED it would do the exact same quality job. I had no idea what a ditch witch was. Never heard the word before. So I said fine. Come to find out, a ditch witch is just a push mower with a chain saw and can't dig a 2' wide, 4' deep trench. So that's a weird lie for no reason. Also the day he showed up and ghosted us, after he left, he called the electrician and said that we sent him away because his machine was too big and was going to cut down all our trees. He said I demanded we go get a ditch witch, and come back with it. Again, I literally never heard the words "ditch witch" til he said the words to me. I didn't even know what it actually was til I googled it days later. It is now over two months past the initial date that he said he'd dig. Still no power. Still no running water. Now the nights are getting cold and there's still no heat. But all the other legitimate companies are booked up because it's their busy season. So we have to wait another month still until the next opening we could find. Absolutely do not go with this guy. I gave him the benefit of the doubt so many times, and he consistently proved to me that I was a fool for doing so. I actually had zero intention of making a bad review even up to the day that he ghosted me. But taking to the electrician and uncovering all his endless lies was nauseating. He's a pathological liar and a degenerate and if he needs to harm you to serve himself, he will. He's not even a scammer. I never gave him a penny (just all my time ). But he's just so obsessed with lying, he can't even stop himself. So just protect yourself and go elsewhere. If you're in the Grafton area, go with Bob Senter or Phelp's Construction.
