So this was the second time I've had Ledo's since moving to the east coast. The other time was a different location, and it was terrible, so I thought maybe it had something to do with that specific restaurant. I was wrong. It's not location specific (the staff and people are lovely, no issues there). The Ledo's pizza recipe is clearly the problem because it is, and this is not hyperbole, the most disgusting pizza I've ever had. Generally, even bad pizza is still pizza. This isn't pizza. This is cardboard and sugary paste masquerading as pizza. I'm no pizza snob, either. I'm perfectly content with a slice of Dominos, so I don't need a world class pizza. However, I do believe the pizza should be edible, a bar to which Ledo's fails to rise. read more

I was shopping at Trader Joe's and I couldn't resist the temptation of Ledo's pizza. What is a perfect Saint Patrick's Day meal? Pizza, of course. I ordered my pizza with mushrooms and I was surprised at the size of their smallest pie. It was really big. Service was great. I was waited on right away. It did take about 15 minutes, but my pizza was hot and fresh out of the oven. It was worth the wait. I also ordered my favorite Italian salad. Ledo's Pizza is fantastic. Don't let the low reviews fool you. I grew up eating this pizza and it has always been good. The pizza is rectangular, and the crust is deliciously crispy. The sauce and toppings taste fresh, and they're generous with the cheese. Service is good whether you're dining in or ordering out. The restaurant is casual with table service. One fun thing to note is that around/during Pesach, they have the best Passover pizza I've ever had. It's not matzah pizza--they make a dough without yeast. I stopped by this location to pick up a gift card. There was a little bit of a wait because three other patrons were carrying out. The restaurant was clean and warmly decorated for the Winter holidays. I have previously ordered food from here before (and didn't realize I haven't reviewed it!) and I remember the calzones being fresh and delicious. The employee helping me with the gift card purchase was kind and courteous. They also answered my questions and it's very easy to redeem the gift card for online orders as well. Plenty of free outdoor parking in the lot right outside (although it can get a little busy because there is also a Trader Joe's in the same complex). read more

Well, the crust more generally; itwas almost nonexistent when we last ordered and we had to take it back, only to wait for the manager to be found because they had disappeared. This location used to be good (we've lived nearby for 29 years!), but has steadily gone downhill since the ownership change several years ago. Corporate needs to have a long talk with the current owner. Save your money and go to Mamma Lucia in Fallsgrove instead. read more

Disclaimer, I don't think I've ever eaten inside the restaurant. Pro Tip: Ledos sells their house dressing and jars of the tomato sauce. The pro tips are usually why I'm here. 1. I love me some ledos dressing. I've taken to recreating the Ledos Italian salad at home. Lettuce, tomato, provolone, I use Kalamata olives, and pepperocini. And what ties it all together is the Ledos house dressing. It's sooo good. 2. I can put ledos marinara on pretty much anything and be happy. What I've been doing as of recent is putting it on top of vegetables. Steamed asparagus with Ledos sauce - delicious. Okra with ledos sauce... even better. When I'm feeling bad.. I'll even melt a little provolone over that - so it's like a vegetable Parmesan. Everyone who says "Ledos sauce is too sweet." You're not original, it's not too sweet, and don't talk smack about Ledos. It's upsetting... for me and any other Marylanders involved. So good. I like this location and the Ledo brand. I hope when reading my review the owner of this location and other locations make changes for big game days like Super Bowl Sunday. They could NOT handle the volume of online orders! It's was a repeat of last year's mayhem. Angry entitled North Potomac residents yelling at the staff was uncalled for. It was very disheartening to witness how ill mannered folks with 0 compassion can be towards the staff who had no control on the failed online ordering system. At some point, there should have been a cut off time from ordering either by phone or online The manager on duty did her best to make customers happy. However something needs to be done with their online ordering system. Other locations faced the same issues. Update your online ordering software so it's in synch with the kitchen. IF the volume is too high, cut off online ordering and stop taking orders. The employees working that night should have gotten bonuses and medals for having to deal with that chaos. I waited 1 1/2 hrs past my promised time. Although, the owner reached out and is trying to make things right. Also when cutting pizza, cut it throughly not semi. My pizzas always get torn, because Ledos doesn't like cutting my pizza. read more

I have been a satisfied patron of this location for many years. My recent carry out pizza was one of the worst I have ever had. The pizza appeared to have no sauce- even on eyeball examination. One of the delights of a good Ledo pizza is the sweet sauce. Without the sauce, the pie tasted like I was eating cheese on a drop ceiling tile. First time at this spot, did take-out with a gift card I won from a Ledo Facebook giveaway. Boyfriend and I each got a 14" half-baked pizza....his with uncooked bacon and jalapeno, mind with uncooked bacon, jalapeno, sausage, pepperoni and pineapple. His little sister got spaghetti with meatballs and a side of broccoli, mom and dad each got a grilled chicken salad. Our waitress Sarah was very sweet but my son's food was brought out very quickly while I continued to wait for my Stromboli. He was finished his meal by the time I received mine. So I've been to this Ledos pizza location about a dozen times and I've never had a bad experience. No matter what you order it will be fresh and piping hot, I can't say the same when it comes to other ledos pizzas. I normally get the Ledos Stromboli and the taste and flavor is so amazing, the steak and cheese is very delicious as well, my only problem is that it seems that all Ledos have changed the fries now and I'm not really feeling the thicker fries. But other than that this Ledos is the best and I can't say enough about the customer service, always polite when phoning in a order or when you dine in. Great experience every time. I am a regular customer at this Travilah Square Ledos Pizza on Darnestown, Rockville and have tried almost everything on their menu. It was lunch time and I was super hungry so I ordered an 8" jerk chicken pizza for carry out. As I was chewing down on a slice, I noticed a hard, metal-like object in the back of my mouth that wouldn't chew up easily. I immediately spit it out and found this small SPIRAL METAL SCREW! I washed out my mouth multiple times to get the metal taste out but it still lingered for the whole day. Mind you, I am also 5 months pregnant. Had I swallowed this by mistake or severely injured myself, it would've not only been hazardous, but a lawsuit waiting to happen. I also want to mention they are not the most sanitized looking restaurant so I can't imagine how their back kitchen looks like. With an incident like this, i am not too surprised and it reflects itself. Majority of the restaurants and businesses have COVID standards and procedures publicly posted on their websites, Ledo's does not. I contacted the manager and returned the remainder of the pizza with the screw. The manager, Suleman only gave an apology along with a full refund and offered another pizza. He also stated that he will "tell his kitchen staff to be more careful." Needless to say, I will not be returning anymore. read more

Came in right when they opened at 11am and got my pizza in about 15 minutes! It was hot and fresh!! I got mushroom and onions as my toppings. Service was great. My waiter was very attentive and checked up on me. This is probably the nicest interior and largest Ledo I've been too. It's really nice. They have really spacious booths. This is close to my school so I will definitely be back to try their lunch special (mini pizza [4 slices] and a salad) for $7 and some change. Sounds good to me! When did this place start to suck!? I've been coming here since I was a kid and it was always a solid choice when you want pizza that's a little different. Now it's weird to go at all. The staff are too busy to even ask your name when the take your order and the pizza is a total ripoff. I got half pepperoni half veggie and it was $24! We're talking fast food, skimpy toppings, barely anything to the crust, cheap pizza. Why charge me like I'm ordering Neapolitan? There's literally one single pepperoni per slice, and the veggie side looks like they mutilated one single mushroom into 100 pieces and sprinkled the mushroom dust. I seriously feel like the entirety of the veggie toppings were equivalent to eating one single spoonful of veggies...least healthy pizza possible. I'm starting to think the whole square pizza thing is just annoying. You never know how much you're really eating. Ledo needs a Redo. read more

This Ledos is legit. I do know there are tons of Ledos with tons of differing results when it regards food quality. I am a Washingtonian by nature thus college park will always be "that" Ledos for me. Now this one is closer to and the product quality hasn't changed a bit, which is rare amongst the Ledos restaurants. I have ordered pizzas and now calzones at this location and the food was spot on. The service is always swift when I call ahead and the location is easy to get to with plenty of parking. Calzones are $5 bucks on Mondays and Pastas $5 on Tuesdays. This Ledos makes me continue to have nostalgia from my yesteryears' memories based off their great food and great service. I'm going to dock a star for undercooked onions in my calzone. When I've ordered onions on pizza they were cooked excellently. read more

We took our business to travilah and so glad we did! While we picked up this time around. The food was ready to go and on point. I will say the girl who rung me up seemed a little out of it. The staff is rude; they hung up on me mid order several times and every time I go over there they always seem to view customers as a hassle to be dealt with that takes time away from their socializing. I wanted to place an online order, but did not want to use a credit card. When I called a very nice young man told me he could take the order. When I tried to order a gyro, he was very apologetic that the food delivery did not arrive (we are in COVID times after all). Anyways I ordered a cheesesteak combo. When I went in the food was hot and the cashier was friendly. I started chatting with the young man who told me he was trying to work to save up to continue college and get his B..A. in architecture. I think I like the Stained Glass Pub square pizza a little better imo and first time I've ever had squared pizza was White Flint Mall Italiano fast food court (80's). The pizzas are good, but a bit greasy, but their wings are a notch better (big and perfectly fried). Their chicken broccoli fettuccine alfredo is thick and creamy with lots of chicken. Can easily feed 2-3 people. They have several beers on tap and sodas are free refills. This is a good place to come with families and little one's.
