(1/26/21) I finally found a chance to visit the flagship store on Independence. They have a much greater selection of merchandise than the smaller satellite store in Pineville near my house. I have a friend who works there and she told me about the selection the store has before turning me loose to see what was available. I have to admit that their hat sections blows away the competition. They even have a steamer that will shape a hat to the customer's head. That's a definite plus. read more

Super knowledgeable shoe people. Two women working men & women sides. Wife and I very happy. I thought this was just a cowboy store, but found that it has a lot of regular clothing and, of course, shoes and boots. Quite a varied selection. Prices are really good and look for coupons as they frequently advertise and have specials. We had a 40% off and met the price level, so were pleased. Staff is amazingly friendly. They go out of their way to help you. In the women's shoe section there was my wife and two other ladies and there must have been 30 boxes of shoes. Not a problem. We will become regulars. read more

I am in love with my square dancing shoes, Lebos. Thank you so much. About 25 years ago, an acquaintance mentioned apropos of nothing that THE most comfortable dress shoes are square dancing shoes, and it always stuck in my head. I finally had a need for dress shoes.... for my daughter's wedding! I searched online and Lebos popped up. I ordered 2 pairs to try and they are both great. I decided which would be best and am returning the other pair but also ordered another pair for the maid of honor. She likes them too! We got her the wide width because she wears orthotics. Now I just have to get the bride talked into them. I will post after the wedding As to how it went. I am really looking forward to dancing and standing at the wedding and reception in these shoes. I've heard that this is the place to go for shoes. Now, I'm not into the country scene. At all. So I was skeptical. It is a country store...VERY country. But they also have "regular" shoes, too and a really decent assortment. They do loose a star for price, though. I know shoes aren't cheap...I get that. But when the average price that I could see on the shelf was over $100...that's pricey. What amazed me most, though, was the customer service. The associate helping us gave us our space, but regularly checked in. When we were headed to the register, she met us to take our items and escorted us to the register and acted as liaison with the cashier, and made sure we left with her card and a coupon for next time. Well I'm no Donnie......nor Marie for that matter, but what I am is someone from the south that doesn't own a pair of cowboy boots? So having recently been invited to Coyote Joes country bar for some line dancing lessons, I decided it was time to get me a nice pair of sh*t kickers....as my Daddy use to call them for this little shindig. After asking some of my well established Charlotteans, Lebos was the place to go for all things country western and cowboy and they didn't disappoint. The store is tucked away on Independence Blvd, just away from all the car dealerships that litter that section of Charlotte. It is a big space with everything from boots to SADDLES?!?!?! Yes folks, if you ever want to get your kink on by LITERALLY mounting your significant other via a saddle, this is the place to get it........but forgive me.......I digress. the boot selection is good....but not too extensive. They have boots as low as $99, but as high as $450, but all are nice looking strudy brands and an average price of around $150. I was torn between cowboy boots and ropers (if you have to ask, just google it) and the salesman was very helping in walking me through the decision process of why I'd want a rubber soled boot as opposed to a leather soled boot. In the end I selected the leather sole as it was both $10 cheaper and good for line dancing at Coyote joes....I swear the guy said that and never knew I was going there. Also found out they carry a superior grade of Carharts which I didn't know exisisted, so I also learned something too. Great place, good selection, nice folks and reasonable prices.........so if you gotta go country..........go to Lebos! read more

I was on the hunt for a quality pair of cowboy boots and stumbled upon Lebos driving home one night, so I decided to stop in. First of all, based on location, I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by what I found inside. Lebos has a great selection of all things western, from clothing to hats to footwear. Peggy gone country! Well, that's old news. For those who don't know me, I'm a country fried anything, smothered with gravy, country music listening kinda gal. Shamefully this self-proclaimed Southern Chinese didn't own a pair of cowboy boots! I asked Santa for a pair, guess I was a bad girl, so to take matters into my hands, I started my shopping like any 2013-ers would, online, at the beginning of the year. Turned out buying cowboy boots is almost as complicated as (fill in the blank). I found out that it should fit tight upfront, yet have enough heel space for the heel to move up when you walk. There are all kinds of leather, different toe shapes, different heel and shaft height. WHAT?! So I went back to Lebo's (and the other store up at Concord Mills) the other week. In comparison, Lebo's doesn't look like they have as much boots. They do have a lot more other stuffs (regular shoes, western clothings, dancewears etc). The store is quite sizable. But to be honest, less choices helped with the narrowing down my options. It's good to know your budget. I was on a low budget market. Low budget still means $100-150. There are lots of boots that are over $200-$300 and some are over $500. Crazy! Since I've been searching for boots for months, I kind of have an idea of what my boots should look like. First, not all makers are created equal. I find Durango and Laredo to be very comfortable and budget friendly without losing the style. I thought I am the plain brown type, but turned out I was a distressed leather, pointy square toe, with leopard accent type :) Britney who helped with my purchase was nice, didn't mind that I was being indecisive. I actually found the same boots online for less ($50 less), but Lebo's doesn't price match or anything (which I think in 2013, they should consider something). While I was debating whether to buy online, save myself a big chunk of cash or keep my business local, one final factor put Lebo's over the top: CHRIS, the boots expert! I went back a few days after my purchase because I just couldn't tell if the boots are fitting me correctly. With all due respect to my salesperson, I didn't feel like she was understanding my confusion and uncertainty about these boots. But Chris, he was on his knees, measuring, and when my boots seem to be fitting a little loose, he found some inserts. And when I mentioned something was poking me on the side, he went and did some magic. I felt like I got my money worth of service. He didn't even charge me for the inserts (which was only $5, but I appreciate the extra effort). That's when I felt certain I made the right decision with my first cowboy boots and didn't mind as much paying extra for them. So, if you are thinking about buying a pair of cowboy boots, give Lebo's a try, and don't be afraid to ask for help! read more

Bryan was amazing! I walked in with a shopping list and no knowledge of the products (my kids are starting dance for the first time this year). He was the only employee I saw in the store and was decked out in western gear so I was skeptical he'd be able to help me with 6 and 7 year old girls dance apparel/shoes but I was so wrong! The dance section was full of people shopping for the fall season and he was still so helpful! I don't know how he handled all of us! He was very knowledgeable and accommodating and kept checking on me through the shopping experience without being pushy. He also signed me up for their loyalty program and explained the benefits to me...which sounds like an awesome deal and after todays experience I will not be shopping anywhere else for any of my girls' dance class needs. I shopped without my kids (what a mistake! Take them to be fitted!) but he assured me that if it didn't work out we could come back. We were back a couple hours later (brought my daughter this time) and Bryan remembered me, quickly helped us swap out the one pair of shoes that didn't fit quite right. He was great with my daughter, and we got everything we needed. I rarely write reviews for businesses but I also rarely have such a wonderful customer service experience! My daughter is in a praise dance group at our church. I got the information to get her white praise dance for the Christmas play at Lebos. We were on a mission and went in from Clover, SC to Lebos to find the dress. We were blessed to find her dress on the first try and then found out that over half of the girls on the team had not been able to get their dresses. I called and spoke with DJ and he was very pleasant and so very helpful in getting all the different sized dresses we needed for our girls ages 8-16 approximately. DJ had to get the dresses from different stores and stayed in contact with me when the dresses came in. It was definitely divine intervention because there was a meeting where the heads of different companies from Rock Hill and other places came and were able to bring all the dresses we needed to make our Christmas play and praise dance a success. Thank you so much DJ and if I ever need help again or shop at Lebos I will make sure to ask for you. Truly a blessed and wonderful example of customer service at its best!! read more

My husband and I went to purchase a pair of cowboy boots for me in the middle of December 2014. We were helped by a very knowledgeable salesperson, JD (James). He gave us such great information on how to pick the right kind of boot and how they should fit. We left very satisfied...the impressive part was after the purchase. I took my boots back in after they were uncomfortable (I have a funny bump on top of foot that was aggravated) to see if they could be stretched. Not only were they helpful, they were superb. They sent them out to be stretched at no charge to us. When I came back in to check them, we were met with great information. They offered to send back if needed, but didn't want to stretch them too far, too fast. They have EXCELLENT customer service. The manager, (Aaron?) was wonderful as well. All the salespeople try to give you their best - JD was our favorite. When were walking around the store to see if my boots were comfortable, my husband decided to look at some for himself. JD ended up helping with purchase as well. He found him a great pair of boots for a great price. VERY happy customers. Note, while they specialize in western footwear/clothes - they have a good selection of other shoes (tennis shoes, Dansko style, etc.). They don't carry cheap items, so you will pay a moderate price for a great product (it might be considered pricey to some...it depends). My husband has a great pair boots and mine after stretching are a very custom fit boot. I highly recommend Lebo's! read more
